If this coin is so dead then why is there a 17 Bitcoin order at 2 Satoshi on Cryptsy?
Look around and try to find that kind of demand on any other dead abandoned ShitCoin.
Can anybody find a plausible reason for this?

I must say that this is an interesting coin. I have watched for a few days and I have seen nothing other than maybe this and maybe that. I actually listened to vrcradio and that was just as bland as I had expected. I hope you you all get where you want to go, but I am not on board with this rarely updated, empty promised, strung out kinda coin.

Okay, I'll stir the pot a bit. Why is Wolf Rainer a scammer? He built the site and it worked fine and looked good. How is he trying to scam people? If he did the work, he should have been paid.
There was a time when I was going to build the site but didn't have time. I think Wolf did a great job in the end. How does that == scamming? Unless there's something I'm missing.

I would ask our big investors to colaborate a little and figure out a marketing plan for our coin . If you arnt already do, just my .02 vrc

how can you prove you come from MIT? 
I also have nothing to do with this coin and am just an interested observer, but I believe they are in fact from MIT as they wouldn't be able to get a .mit.edu domain otherwise. If you run a WHOIS on their site it lists MIT as the registrar.

There has been five scams on bittrex this month (the latest being USBcoin with a hidden premine). I wish people could identify the genuine coins with genuine development.
Yeah being only on Bittrex isn't helping. I've seen several "Bittrex is a scam" posts just in the last few days.

What direction would you suggest?
Ideally, sticking to the original plan of a fun coin for traders. But if the dumping continues, it might be a challenge to get interest back up. So maybe the food industry thing is smart.

Plankton's value rose too quickly and there was no clear vision on our direction.
Right now we're seeing a huge correction where a number of early buyers are selling out (Plankton is still up 400% from the initial sale so I wouldn't say it is dead) and we have decided to focus exclusively on the food industry (OP updated).
Very few offerings these days provided early buyers with 2000%+ on their investment within days like Plankton did.
Focusing on the food industry isn't a bad idea, and it's always a good idea to give a coin a purpose. My only hesitation might be the name of the coin... I mean, for alt giveaways and normal crypto stuff, associating Plankton + food is fine. Just normally, most people don't typically associate Plankton and think of food, outside of perhaps Krabby Patties. It's sort of like plankton = algae = tiny bugs != food for humans.
FoodCoin, minus the plankton bit, might have worked a bit better if going serious with the coin.
Agreed. I think the coin is losing focus by going towards the food industry. Plankton doesn't make people think of food. It makes people think of whales (or possibly Spongebob). A coin focused on the food industry is a great idea but I agree that FoodCoin would be a much better name if going that direction.

Very good idea about the whale group (I plan to open the VIP room soon). Would Skype or Google talk be preferred? I remember someone on the team doesn't use Skype but we'll sort something out.
Why not just set up a private IRC channel?
That suits as well (granted everyone is okay with this). We just need to find a good time, this weekend will be optimal. I'm going to be away for ~12 hours so I'll make a channel when I'm back.
The only problem with IRC is everyone needs to be on at the same time, it makes at harder to set something like a 36 hour buy period when only those that were on IRC at the time will know about it.

I have been watching FOOD closely since launch and noticed something those worried about price should know. There has never been a single "dump" larger than 50m. This is .5 BTC of IPO.

I am holding this coin almost two weeks and never saw more than 10 sat. This coin is total shit. You will not gain anything holding it. Just fyi.
