Re: Is it still gambling if you're sure you're going to win?
by

There are event you can predict on that even though it's not 💯 guaranteed that you're going to win,  a level of certainty makes you think that you're surely going to win.
Like PSG vs Chelsea  and then they went ahead losing to Chelsea  Grin,  there's  no  guarantee about a future event , it's  just what you believe would happen, doesn't  mean another person won't  see it differently no matter the level  of certainty or whatever  you think and lo you could be wrong  as well .. that's  why it's  called gambling
Quote
Can we still say we are gambling if the event is something we are at least 90% sure that we are going to win?
So far it involves your prediction  plus your  money, it's  still gambling and you can be too sure either

Re: No Amount is Affordable in Gambling
by
promise444c5
on 25/07/2025, 20:07:45 UTC
We are used to say that a gambler should gamble with an amount he can afford to lose but in the actual sense do we think there is any amount a gambler can afford to lose? When a gambler places a stake what he sees is not the stake but the potential win. This is why when he does not win he panics regardless of how little the stake is and he will always mention the potential win rather than the stake as the amount lost. The gambling system especially sports betting works in a way that as a game plays the value of the stake keeps increasing and what may appear to be what the gambler can afford to lose may rise and become what he can no longer afford to lose and this becomes a source of concern for the gambler if he losses the bet. In fact, if a gambler accumulates the total of what he thinks he can afford to lose he would know that he is losing what he cannot afford to lose. I think that any penny spent on gambling is a money the gambler have decided to sacrifice with the hope of getting a bigger amount and not because he can afford to lose it.

What's your position on this thought?
It's not only about the amount you can afford to lose,it’s about the amount you can afford to lose without it affecting you as a gambler.

Have you ever wondered why we look for lost pennies even though we can afford to lose them? It's because that’s normal Smiley and it hurts losing it without giving it out willingly ..But what if that penny is all you've got and you lost it? I think the same applies to gambling, not that a loss won't hurt even if you can afford it, but what really matters is being able to afford it without stress.

If it grows to the extent that someone can no longer afford to gamble but still does, then they're addicted somehow imo  because they had all the time to take a break.

Last year January, you could still get a bitcoin for as low as 38k  Smiley but  as at october of same year , you could only get it almost double of that price, as at today it's now x4.
Over time, it’s increasing and not getting cheaper but even as at now we could still say it’s  cheap  compare to what future purchase value might hold..
If you're  accumulating do it with consistency while maintaining  other important resources to sustain it aswell..

Ahh missed that 115k dip

Still stacking the mining coins

any guess as to why we dropped to 115k last night

Galaxy Digital sent 70k BTC to exchanges (Binance, OKX,..) and probably sold it.

But why did they sell in the first place?
They paper handed it? Or there was any other meaning? Maybe they bought a gigantic call positions and were only delta hedging that

It seems a whale deposited it last week, and now they sell it or so... maybe their client
The 80kBTC whale to be precise but he's been moving his btc to Galaxy Digital for a while where he sold 40k already until he made another  finall move of his remaining  40k to Digital Ocean last week friday , i think part  are already  being sold  through exchange this week..

They have deposited more in exchanges, saw an article which said the amount is around $3.4bn.
Do the calculation.. that’s  still  around 30k btc.

Apart from tech meetups, I don't like attending crypto meetups because most of them are used to promote coins that often turn out to be Ponzi schemes. I know there are positive ones, but most of them aren't just held haphazardly. You can also watch out for the speakers, research them before attending. That could sometimes help in identifying red flag meetups.

In fact, the less you attend those crypto meetups, the safer it is for you, as fewer people will know you're involved in or have an interest in crypto. So, you need to be careful attending those kinds of meetups.

Galaxy Digital was part... They  sold  10,000+ BTC then , and as of now, over 30,000 BTC has been moved to exchanges and likely sold.

In recent time the price of bitcoin have not be doing badly
Because  it's  bull run period and just as what's  beign expected is happening  but the excitement can stop at anytime , hope you prepare for the  Bear market ?? So don't  be suprised if that happens either although 123k shouldn't  be our current ATH stop..
Do you think is possible? 🤔
The 150k is very possible.. some news in the upcoming  months should create some spike but again while it rises prepare for the opposite direction so you  won't  PANIC sell when it comes  Smiley

Re: much money in the foodball and in general in life is a ruin
by

Money is important Grin The only thing keeping some of the players from top teams in top leagues after being offered huge amounts from Saudi leagues is probably because of their fame. Apart from that, only a few are about loyalty. Besides, most of these clubs already pay them well, it's just that another source could offer them even more, which would be tempting Smiley.

In football, most players don't value loyalty, just as most clubs won't value them anymore if they can't perform the way they used to before degrading,  they will only see them as liability and try to reduce their  wage/get rid of them somehow . So, I don't blame players wanting to look for more money, because sooner rather than later they will retire at early age compared to most professions, they make more money though but they will choose luxurious lifestyle anyways..

Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2024/25
by
promise444c5

It was already clear that Rashford would go to Barcelona, the whole issue is in registration and now, as I understand it, there is no progress there. The deal for Pau will definitely not be very significant, the entire transfer costs 15 million - as much as Rashford's salary. As I understand it, they need to follow the 1:1 rule regarding salaries, so in order to register Rashford, they need to release players who collectively earn as much as he will earn. In general, Barcelona faces a difficult puzzle.
Ter Stegen  + Pau Victor being sold could have fixed it.
Although i heard Ter Stegen's will be undergoinganother surgery , but still doesn't change much for now.
Although, I've heard that if an injury spans beyond four months, it could create room for a signing like Marcus Rashford, especially with Pau Victor also on the line... But Ter Stegen himself mentioned a three month recovery. This could be a twist though as there're no official announcement from Barcelona yet, but they might declare a longer period to qualify it as a long-term injury IMHO

Re: How is wealth distributed through Gambling

Lol the money moves to government  through taxation and then vanishes while they continue to tax everyone  all together   Grin doesn't  matter if less-privilege or rich . Normally, taxation wasn't  meant to benefit the less-privilege only, it benefits  the country at large but yeah it should benefit them the more because the rich can find a means to get those resources /services...
Besides, not only the less-privilege bets on casino( although the rate is more compared  to the rich) so the it's  not like everything comes  from the less privilege to the casino..

~

Lol, same story every season. Only this is not because of the FFP rules but because of the La Liga regulation that Barcelona must comply with the 1:1 rule, i.e. in order to pay Rashford's salary they must free up the wage bill by the same amount. Barcelona made several transfers and sales, but as I read in the news, they used up all the limits, i.e. spent everything exactly in a 1:1 ratio. So, in order to register Reshforad, they need to free up money for his rather large salary. Is this even possible?

He posted this later though at least a step..
Heard a new circulating news about Pau victor deal to FC Braga, they already agree with the deal but I don’t think it’s sealed yet but could happen very soon though.. I think they would did a way around it somehow and it’s looking like it already, still waiting if there will be any news after though

There is some speculation that this may include the government’s plans to purchase more Bitcoin. If so, that would be like igniting the flame on a rocket. It’s almost time…
Yeah but used the word digital assets, Bitcoin is part anyways:
Quote
(ii)  The Working Group shall evaluate the potential creation and maintenance of a national digital asset stockpile and propose criteria for establishing such a stockpile, potentially derived from cryptocurrencies lawfully seized by the Federal Government through its law enforcement efforts.
Sec. 4c ii
I have a little problem understanding fully the part I bold with the way it’s been used in the statement [/b]

Re: Bitcoin mining using an Android phone
by
promise444c5
on 23/07/2025, 13:44:07 UTC
Yeah, you can possibly mine bitcoin using your android phone but getting a legit mine app is where the problem is because there are thousands of applications out there but only few that is legit and they are very hard to get so to avoid choosing the wrong mining app in the process of trying to find the right one
Don’t give OP false hope, although you gave OP a choice of investing at the end which is still good and I think that was what you should have emphasized on in the first place, the possibility of him finding a software that actually does that is 0.1% unless he fall a victim of cryptojacking.. So if OP can get the dedicated hardwares to pursue his Bitcoin Mining goal then he better not try searching for other alternatives  to mine Bitcoin as they are all likely to be scam..

Nothing came out still… but there was an existing news saying yesterday or by the end of the month.. so probably by the end of the month.

Regarding the news circulating on social media, I actually thought Powell was going to resign, but it turns out that wasn’t the case and the letter that surfaced online was fake.

Nice catch! I didn't look into it that deeply, but it makes complete sense now that the OP  is likely part of the campaign, if not the owner. I also checked Trustpilot and found only one review, which seems self-promotional rather than a genuine user review. So, i will also emphasise that anyone considering dealing with this should be aware they could be vulnerable to losing their funds.
