Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season

To deal with Barcelona which has high productivity in scoring goals, Inter Milan must have a tighter defense.

By the way, I'm quite impressed with Inter Milan attackers when they played against Barcelona in the first Leg. Even if 2 goals didn't come from attackers but they looked like to have a more effective attacking. It is quite different in Serie A that Inter Milan rarely scored many goals. Inter seems having a little problem in attacking line.

Barcelona  defence is a little bit weak at the moment,  they might not use the offside trap or use it that much today, which means they might try to play a defensive game(maybe more possession) as well to force Inter Milan players out, this could give  a perfect counter attack ... more men would be at the defence imo.. it's not going to be an easy game but I'm  expecting  goals, which side it's going to come from ? I don't  know but  on the other hand, Barca has all my support for tonight's game.

I see no difference, even good strategy doesn't  guarantee and likely to fail..
Hence, still wondering  how you were able to come to conclusion that's  it's a poor strategy,, is there even anything like poor strategy? If it doesn't works then it sucks and of no use which equal  no strategy. Then even with a strategy, your status relies on the games of choice, some works with no strategy at all ..

it will seem like you are a trader, because you only want profit after you accumulate your money without appreciating the process.
He might actual not be a trader even though he sound like one… Most investor acctully don’t understand FOMO , so they are likely going to take it as a strategy because they know nothing about it. Doesn’t exclude even experienced investors, they join the FOMO rally while they think they are investing, and most time it, Ends up in PANIC .. so yeah! OP might actually PANIC sell with a slight drop in price since he prioritizes buying on the rise Only.
Quote
In fact, bitcoin investors need at least 10 years or more to be able to feel the results.
Not really.. but yeah it could take that long to realize some reasonable profits, even more  especially now that bitcoin could focus more on 100k+, still depends on how investors is been able to load up their portfolio from time to time..
Quote
I agree with the assumption, because in the world of investment, of course, the financial situation plays an important role in making our bitcoin investment run more smoothly.
Sorry to say this but you agreed with nothing m
Does Prioritizing Buys especially large ones only on  the rise look like a mental preparation??
Imagine it this way that you had the whole time to stack up at 40~70k but you didn’t, yet you started stacking around 83~85k, I’m sure he would have  take em all out when Bitcoin went down to 74 and then FOMO buy at 90k again Tongue

Re: any useful android mining apps?
by

on 05/05/2025, 21:06:35 UTC

If you want a real mining then I think the better way is to use a real mining device like laptop and pc cause using android for that doesnt really works.
If you're talking about mining Bitcoin or any other major cryptocurrency, then even using PCs, even dozens of them, is going to be a waste of time and energy.
To make any real profit, you would need to invest in proper mining hardware.
The problem with cloud mining is that most of the services out there are scams.

+1
Absolutely what I was about to comment too, even proper mining hardware has grade to mine something meaningful especially in the world of Bitcoin, old mining ASICs rigs like the early Antminers   Can produce a reasonable hash power to meet up talk more of a PC.. not sure about other currencies but it’s likely what you’ve mentioned about the work and earn  apps. There used to be one that I’m sure of called satoshi Smiley(it’s  an android app) not sure if it’s still available..
Quote
I believe what the OP is asking about, and what his friends are probably using, are those walk-and-earn apps, which most of them turn out to be scams as well.

Only thing i will add is that people need to stay patient. The market moves in waves there’ll be more dips, no doubt. But the key is staying focused on the long term and not getting shaken out. Your point about just increasing how much BTC you hold is 100% facts.
Yeah, patience is key. I believe you're still new. While you invest using the DCA buying strategy, make sure you keep in mind that it might  be a rough journey at the start, especially now that the price is likely  to skyrocket, which means fewer coins for your entries. So brace yourself; it's easier to contribute, but the reality is tough to admit.
It only gets better overtime

Yes, very useful extension, thank you for your contribution and hard work.

However, @suchmoon's BPIP Extension also shows the same result as like as your extension shows.
Your one has some extra features. I really liked it, in BPIP Extension by suchmoon, there is no pop-up data, and no strikethrough mark though...

keep it up..
Thanks mate! Glad you like it.. and yeah, it almost does same thing but just one of many features provided by BPIP Extension.
This is a great alternative for BPIP extension, but you should add it on GreasyFork website with all other user scripts.
This would make it easier to install and find by more people.

Thank you dkbit98.. i will check it out.

Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2024/25
by

Raphina has finally given Barcelona an equalizer to balance the scoreline on the 54th minutes. I know that Valladolid wouldn't be able to get all three points in this match because they are playing with Barcelona whose attacking force is unstoppable. Barcelona is trying to see how they can double their goal but they haven't seen a good chance to make that happen.
It was a great comeback! I agree, resting key players earlier might be the way to go. While the initial lineup likely wasn't the sole issue, Hansi Flick clearly needed to bring in those substitutes, he had no choice if he wanted the three points Grin... it's already paying off with two goals (Pedri for Frenkie looks like a good move). One more goal would certainly make it a more comfortable finish. The substitutions made by Valladolid did bring a little change to the dynamic as well.

It seems we have the same view my friend. Cool
I am quite sure that in this match there will be a surprise from the host, a draw or maybe they can even win and my belief is strengthened by the bookies who give almost equal opportunities for both of them, other considerations as you have explained there is a target that
It's  Alaves at home so they are trully likely to draw or win this game, to keep them above the relegation zone, not sure if the draw  will still keep them if Las Palmas eventually win on their end. I won't syill be suprised if Athletico wins it ( Athletico is not that predictable).

Yamal? At age 17, Kid runs 3836 minutes for Barca and approximately 5000+ overall this season. That far exceeds the combined first year performance of Bojan, Messi, and Fati. He is carrying La Liga title pressure as well as Ballon d'Or.
The kid needs some rest, but who's going to carry the team from his position..

Re: how do you avoid being stress in gambling?
by
promise444c5
on 03/05/2025, 11:14:28 UTC

But why are there times when we don’t feel happy at all? Instead, we feel stressed and the more we gamble, the worse it gets.

It even ruins our focus on things that are more important than gambling.

So how about you? have you ever felt stressed because of gambling? if yes, what did you do to overcome it?
The main reason a gambler feels unhappy about their gambling outcomes is when they keep losing. On the other hand, winning makes a gambler happy and eager to bet more.

Regarding feeling stressed outand losing of focus , both winning and losing can cause it, especially if you are not disciplined and spend a lot of time gambling.

If you ever feel stressed, pause your gambling and take some measures regarding your gambling activity. Otherwise, if you continue losing more and more focus, then stop gambling entirely before it’s too late.

Either way, gamble responsibly.

Does it download this 6 MB for each view, or is it cached? Do you need the usernames, or can I get you a list with only userIDs?

No, i catched the resource for the extension to 1 day , it can be changed manually...
Code:
const CACHE_DURATION = 60 * 60 * 1000 * 24; // Cache for 1day (24 hours)
Do you need the usernames, or can I get you a list with only userIDs?
Not really(ids can also identify), but since the file provides both the username and ids , i just scraped both.. for now i'm only using the username though, but stored the ids too...
Code:
{ userId: parts[0].trim(), username: parts[1].trim() };

Good one op!

Does this work on mobile version only or it comprises with both web,

Thanks!
Yes you can use it on mobile and web but to use it on mobile, you need to intalll kiwibrowser for Android, install tamper monkey extension, then use the userscript..
Here’s how it will look after installation..

Nit sure about IOS but there's a standalone Tampermonkey extension for sefari that can be used to run the userscript.

Re: The rule - Gamblers Ruin
by
promise444c5
on 03/05/2025, 07:29:36 UTC

Nobody has unlimited money  Wink to continue gambling forever unless they are printing it  Grin. There’s a clear difference in that some are disciplined about it. I don’t believe much in strategy, but it does work for some, while the majority just gamble irresponsibly.

Long-term gambling depends on the gambler themselves. Either they are addicted, or they are getting some income from gambling itself, but I think the addiction aspect accounts for the higher percentage. While we have those addicted, fun can still keep some gamblers engaged for a long time, especially if the casino provides what they need, but only a few do this particularly.

do this(including other features others might find useful)? I am currently using it and it is basically the same as this when it comes to identifying banned users.
well my aim was just to create a UserScript that  works for only banned users but i just felt like adding the extension, it's a very light one , just some few lines of codes in two to three files..
Nice OP. Smiley

How do I open the popup? I guess it's only for the extension, not tampermoney?
Thanks!
Yes the the popup is only available for the Extension i didn't make it that big, just a little popup beside the extension it self. To see it, click on the extension icon and for the UserScript, you can  just disable the script  directly from Tamper monkey, you should be familiar with that..

I haven't tried many extension on my browser, but I have a question about this one.
How safe is this extension for bitcointalk users and what data can it collect?

You can check the code, it somehow easier to read .
Not collecting ANY DATA, i didn't publish the Extension  either so it has to be done manually..

BitcoinTalk Banned Users Identifier

Following this recent Topic, I decided to create an Extension and a UserScript for the same purpose of identifying banned users.

The script utilizes the list from https://loyce.club/bans/usernames.txt to identify banned users and works on both profiles and threads.

The Extension also includes a popup.html to toggle the active status on and off.

Extension:
  • Only available for manual installation.
  • Download the Source code to your local machine from Assets.

  • Load the unpacked extension on chrome://extensions (Chrome) or about:debugging (Firefox) > Load Temporary Add-on.

  • Unzip the source code and select the "Extension/" folder for Chrome, or select the "Extension/manifest.json" file for Firefox.

Sick and tired of people calling themselves our leaders.

If you check this very news, they added "existing investors, many of whom have been unable to access their funds for weeks, will be able to withdraw their funds starting from June 25, 2025, when the audit is expected to be concluded by an insurance firm based in the United Kingdom.". This means they are planning another heist. May alone is enough time for them to steal new funds, let alone expecting previous investors to wait until June 25th. So now they will continue with new transactions (a fresh scam), making it look legitimate again, just like how MMM did some years back Tongue, while they plan final exit...
Still waiting to see what action will be taken.

Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2024/25

I'm looking forward to these 2 games this weekend. I'm very curious. Do you think Real Madrid and Barcelona will win easily? Or will Madrid suffer another defeat? Or a random result in the game?

My speculation is that the Madrid match will be easier to get 3 points. Compared to Barcelona, who will need to maintain the stamina and physicality of their players, who currently have an important schedule in the UCL. On the one hand, Barcelona have had difficulties with draws in the UCL. Surely, this weekend's match could produce surprises, depending on whether the main players appear early.
Real Madrid's last hope for this season is La Liga. This very game will partially determine or confirm whether it will be a trophy-less season for them or not. If they lose, that's an additional three points for their rival, and I don't see Barcelona letting go of that lead to the extent of Real Madrid taking over the top spot until the end of the season. Yet, even if they win, it still doesn't guarantee anything; Barcelona can still succeed with the small margin they've created.

Thus, it's hard to clearly predict. I didn't see a significant difference in their last game, even though it was a final. They clearly have issues with their defense, and Barcelona is somewhat facing the same problem (the only difference is that Barca still has some good replacements). Nevertheless, I still think Barcelona will win again.

[edited out]

It's worth noting that it was a very difficult victory because Liverpool fought bravely to defend the goal, but that didn't prevent them from making a few mistakes, one of which led to PSG scoring the only goal of the match.

Before the match, I told a friend that the match would end in a draw or that PSG would win by a very small margin, which is exactly what happened. I expect the Liverpool players to be under tremendous psychological pressure because PSG played more comfortably despite Liverpool's solid defense. I'm very sorry for Liverpool, and congratulations to PSG for the historic victory.
Not sure if you meant Arsenal vs PSG or Liverpool vs PSG... But here's my input

Against Arsenal, PSG had more chances than Arsenal, even though both teams played almost equally. PSG did create more opportunities, but some of these chances were wasted, unlike Arsenal's. The PSG keeper really helped the team that night. I just love the fact that they both played a fast-paced game from beginning to end.

Against Liverpool, PSG obviously played better than Liverpool. Both keepers made major saves, but I think Liverpool's keeper made more crucial ones. However, their players sucks at PK, so imo, PSG deserved the win against Liverpool.
