Instaforex is not a responsible company. They will take away everything you have one day. Becareful.

I have a contract on Ripple, Ethereum and Monero (small ones)which goes down and down and will expire before 2nd fork. Should I just cut loses and sell them now as probably there is no chance to grow before 2nd fork?

What do you mean by contract and which 2nd fork? I dont get you.

Quote

You should just let them be for now. You are not losing value until and unless you sell your holdings at loss. Eth will definitely go up. But the price of bitcoin is still subjective. Too many issues at hand at the moment, best to wait out the storm before you decide anything. The arena is kinda rough for any alt coins simply because much are being traded against btc and not a standalone.

Quote
One more question: how to explain pump on Ethereum and other alts on 13th of October? Why it went up when Bitcoin was going up before fork?

This is very subjective. Can be contributed to many reason but mainly because of what i told you above. If weak bitcoin, buy alt coin. If strong bitcoin, sell alt coin.

Hi guys. I'm quite new in crypto world (2 months) and trying to understand what's actually going on on the market. The thing is when Bitcoins grows, alts go down (or just don't grow), bitcoin goes down, alts go down even more - why? I don't exactly understand it and feel confused when to trade or invest. I mostly talk about ETH, LTC, Monero and other from top.

Thank you.

The correct answer would be,

Every alt coin is tied with bitcoin or compared with btc e.g eth/btc, xyz/btc because it is traded with bitcoin (you buy the alt coin using bitcoin or sell your alt coin for bitcoin). So technically every alt coin price is depending on the price of bitcoin. Well totally depending on the price of bitcoin.

Every time the price of bitcoin going up, the alt coin investor wants a piece of that cake for a short term therefore they would sell their alt coin holdings to get into bitcoin. You may ask why? It is because when the price of bitcoin goes up, almost all alt coins will go down due to the selling off. So the opportunity to getting more alt coins per bitcoin is more. This is one of the best way of accumulating alt coin holdings. Due to this, investors who likes to accumulate their alt coin will take position in bitcoin and wait for the price of the alt coin to drop lower. When this happens, the investors will then sell their bitcoin to get into alt coin again. Successfully increasing their alt coin numbers.

Now to the question of why alt coin price go lower when bitcoin price go low. The same explaination as per the above. Since all the alt coins are tied with bitcoin, the price of alts will also drop when the price of btc goes down. This is normally a temporary drop, when investors cashing out of bitcoin to get into alt coin. The delay between sell of of bitcoin to transferring to other broker, or position of buying into alt coin is when the price of alt is at its lowest. The alt coin price will only increase with demand or with more buys.

I hope this explains to you.

how did you know all that token all created by one person ?

i think she is part of there team and got nothing from there ,so he comes down here and start shouting  Grin Grin

Oh boy, is that very hard to do? Just go to the ethereum platform and check who issued all these tokens. Easy right?

Ps. Just checked the price of ebtc. it is at $0.10. I really cant believe that this shyt is actually worth almost the same as SONM. That shows how "quality" the cryptocurrency community really are.

Re: I have money , but thinking about best return of investment
by
puvanb
on 25/10/2017, 03:48:02 UTC
If everyone knows of better roi return of their investment, i guess everyone would be a millionaire by now. From the posts above me what some said is correct. You do not actually lose unless you sell your SIA. It happens to most of the investors on here. Some make good decision about it and some dont. If you are looking into making short term profits, it is best not to invest into the "Long Term" investment like techs. Tech type coins take some time to develop, market and adoption. It doesnt grow in a night. So stay away from those type of coins. For short term investments, i would say go for the already established projects, where people are more confident with the project and there are tradings going on everyday. So you can trade to make money. See this is where people make mistake, some invest believing they will be making tonnes of money in a month, a week even a day. That doesnt happen to every coin. You must first understand these fundamentals. If you do not have enough patience, avoid investing. Investing means investing.. You are investing in their idea, project, timeline roadmap etc. Trading on the other hand is where you make money daily by buying and selling coins for short term. You see good news, you invest and when the profit is nice you sell and then move on to the other coins. You do this daily, you may make some money. But long term investment is where you make good amount of money where you buy at lets say less than a dollar and in a year or two you see the price is double, tripled even sometimes x 100. So be wise. Know what you are doing, dont do what others are doing if you are not sure about what you want. Last but not least, please do your due diligence and study the coins before investing or even trading.

Re: How many percentages of your assets are you willing to invest to cryptocurrency?
by
puvanb
on 25/10/2017, 02:26:42 UTC
I see that many of you have gone all in or majority is in the crypto currency. Well i wouldnt say that is a bad move, but i feel that is a very risky move. You should have a portion in crypto, some in other form of investment and some in the form of cash. The reason is you should always have some extra cash in case of emergency be it for family or when there is a good opportunity to buy some other good coins. If all your money is in the coins, and lets say there is a bad time, what would you do? Thats why you should also practise investing in some other forms of investment where you do not have to depend on the coins for emergency purpose. There are some good percentages that you can practise to maintain just in case. You know what i mean.

Atbcoin is a super cool coin, people often think what is the usage of atbcoin.
It has a VERY good code work to oparate on. Its super fast. And i am actualy making a living of Atbcoin mining!
The price proves to be very stable, and its intrinsic value is the same as bitcoin, witch is ‘trust’ people are puting into it.

Zebra pay misunderstanding.

if iam deposit use bitcoin, what is use insta forex bitcoin rate, use bitfinex rate, coinbase, or where, how much difference rate with global market

Didnt you read what i have been posting. Do not use Instaforex as your broker. Go find some other broker, best would be those ECN brokers or those with C Traders. Brokers like FXPRO is much reliable than these scam bags.

Dont lose your ripple, litecoin and bitcoin to this scammy broker. They have their eyes set on to steal your crypto currencies away from you... be careful. be very careful. Only trade with ECN broker for forex.

Re: I am a Bitcoin Maximalist. But suggest me an altcoin to buy and hold
by

on 24/10/2017, 08:36:23 UTC
Below are the criteria I want for an altcoin.

Fair distribution. No proof of stake or initial coin offerings. I want an altcoin distributed through proof of work.

A good team of developers. This can be argued, but please do explain why you think the team of your altcoin is one of the best.

A growing community. I believe a community behind an altcoin should be positive and optimistic especially during bear markets.

Does such coin exist? All the new coins are basically from ICOs or it comes with heavy premine. Now i can only think of penisium. Dont get angry, just cheering up the room. Anyways, this is a good topic and i hope good disccussion takes place as the criteria seems something that is hard to fullfill. - fair distribution, no pos, no ico, good team and optimistic during bear markets. Cant wait to see the best candidate after btc.

I have used instaforex before. even though i nolonger use the platform, i can vouch for the company. they are reliable in terms of user experience, withdrawals and also the number of instruments once can trade

I used to vouch for them too. I was using them for a year. No problem, no issue whatsoever even the IB were wonderful. But technically Instaforex is not a good broker. They are a marketmaker and these type of brokers is not suitable and trustworthy. Let me tell you what happenend, again, this issue happenend a year ago, i had 2 accounts each with 4.5k USD in it. I was using an EA to autotrade for me. At the time of the incident, i have a couple of positions in red but still my account able to take the hit, so i try placing a hedge position after closing my EA to counter the loss as temporary measurement to safe guard my account. However, I was not able to place that order. Each time i tried placing my orders, the servers keep rejecting me with re-quotes. Let me also tell you, i was also using Instaforex VPS , the most expensive package USD40 per month. Due to this, i was not able to safe my account from further fall and my account crashed. When i send an email to them, you can check them in the previous posts, the customer service barely replies me. I have to constantly send an email every few days to get a reply. The lazy customer support then says it wasnt their problem, although they admit that situation happenend. They admitted it ws their issue, but didnt refund me. This my friend can happen to any one. So becareful with whom you trade with. A woman exploiting broker to attract investors. Disgusting broker. I would suggest to avoid them. Also check my other post, they have cases on them on forexpeacearmy. Please do your DD.

Thank you.

Im thingking what is the best alcoin to buy and give good profit before the year end?

I would suggest you to go to the coinmarketcap. Look at their top 100 coins in terms of trading volumes. If you are a beginner try to filter those expensive coins and go for somewhat cheaper ones in the range of $0.10 to $1.00. I believe there are a few gems in that list that will be going high in the next year. Take your time to read their whitepaper, roadmap, announcement thread, also join their social media rooms if necessary and find out how active the devs are. Only invest when you are comfortable. I always tell to my friends that wants a piece of crypto to do that and invest $100 in the coins they are interested in. Only you know everything about a coin and confident that you may go deeper into your pockets. My hit list would be SONM and Centra for the long term.

Re: how to build a new cryptocurrency
by
puvanb
on 23/10/2017, 06:22:12 UTC
So you're saying that you want to build another shitcoin without coding knowledge? That's like saying you want to be a doctor without going to med school. Dude learn to code. If you can build a cryptocurrency in just few clicks then it's probably a shitty one with very limited capabilities. So learn to code.

Thats right if they want to create a new coin. However it is no harm to learn how it is made. Now there are many platforms available to create tokens like ERC20 Tokens in ETH platform.
One can also hire a third party developer to develop the coins for you to play with. But then it is also important to study the code or everything is pointless since every blockchain needs a dedicated team of developers to do improvements or anything else that you want to do.

Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not?
by
puvanb
on 23/10/2017, 04:18:12 UTC
Sometimes it is a good thing to invest in ICO sometimes it is not. Well basically if the team is good, the product has a future then you may take a risk to invest into that ICO. You must understand that you are not investing into a firm product but into an idea. Sometimes it works out well sometimes it doesnt. Right now the release of ICO dates is also critical. If the release date is somewhere near a btc fork, then you might want to keep your money in btc as you can buy cheaper later as people tend to dump their tokens. You can also acquire cheaper tokens when the bounty is distributed where the bounty hunters go for their quick buck. It totally depends. I would say wait for the product release, then evaluate the product then invest. Or if you like some risk, do invest a little in the ico. If it works for you then get some more when it dumps.

Re: Segwit2X hardfork? can it be soft fork?
by

The greedy will keep creating new coins. This is the future of bitcoin. What can we say, the community has become greedy. With every improvement there will be more forks and a sect of the bitcoin community wanting to fork the new coin. Looking at the current scenario, there will be more BC[A to Z - (G & H)] coins. Like what someone in the previous post said, this is totally unnecessary. There should be only 1 bitcoin in the existence. Soon Bitcoin will become another Alternative currency. Yes, it will be very soon.

by

We are opening up our public card orders for all clients beginning November 1st.

Thank you,

Steve Stanley

Well this is what everyone is waiting for, a very good news indeed. We need the centra cards in public hands as soon as possible. Cards only in ICO contributors does not make it mainstream. It only becomes a mainstream when people other than ico contributors can own a centra card. We need this to happen fast so more people can use the card to spend and by spending it creates a brand. That will make a difference in all the crypto card. The first card being accepted by the mainstream is important. I was hoping the Centra Tech team would be giving importance to this and thank god, they did. This is going to be massive.

Hello dev, @SmartIphone, by any chance, you know when about translation bounty will be distributed? Thanks
digiworld1

as i told before no more payment, they will not pay, they posting want to pay just to make people feel good, fake promised, but the truth they never paid anymore
centra now is dead, no more future for this project.

No idea where you are getting this idea from, but the first batch of signature bounties were transferred. i received them and so did many if you read the previous posts. Everyone has been saying that the distribution period is 8 weeks. So they will distribute the tokens within the 8 weeks. Is that not clear? Do not simply create fud just because you did not get your share yet.

Centra is very active IF you have made the effort to join their Slack or Telegram. They are working hard. Bounty is under the responsibility of the bounty manager. Project is under Centra Tech's team. 2 different things. Dont mix them together. Next time please do some research before you even post.

Re: Bittrex. What happen?
by

on 17/10/2017, 02:56:12 UTC
I believe this is not new. Almost everyone advices never to make any exchanges as your storing wallet. Use the exchange only for exchanging. Why does anyone would trust someone else to store their wealth? So many cases we have seen and yet people are still committing the same mistakes over and over again. You have given bittrex the power to act like god of crypto so now they are behaving such way. Take that power away from them they will treat you better. However it is like a new trend these days, no exchange last longer than a certain period of time. I wonder what is actually causing this? Are they investing someone elses coin in something else? mismanagement? poor handling of peoples fund? I have no idea and i am not accusing. I am just wondering, how many exchanges have gone down now. It is time for a trustless exchange. These people controlling exchanges will becoming dinosaurs very soon if they do not improve.
