All donations will be matched up to $100,000 by the WeTrust team using E. Glen Weyl, Vitalik Buterin, and Zoë Hitzig's Liberal Radicalism formula. https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=3243656

More here: https://spring.wetrust.io/donor-matching

Nice to see the team doing good work.

Vitalik Buterin is involved in TRST, that's great, I didn't knew it.

He is not! He distanced himself from it long back! He was a advisor earlier but when asked he soon distanced himself away from it.

Regulating agencies are quiet now! Anyone suspicious?
by
rajatjain
on 10/06/2018, 04:49:42 UTC
Last year when bitcoin was on a bull run, there were multiple countries going for ban or regulating it however as we have hit a bear market which may last a few months or another year, isn't it suspicious that all those regulating agencies which were so called protector of the financial interests of their people have stopped bashing crypto for now.
Why it always gains steam in a bull market but come bear market and they creep back in their holes? Are they the ones which are busy accumulating now ?

Re: Bitcoin price prediction for july
by

What could be price of bitcoin in next month ??
$5k $7k $8k $10k $15k or $20k
Predict please  Smiley Grin
Well, everybody aiming to soar up, but the reality, No one knows what may happen next, maybe it will stick to 7k since there are many type of coins compete to bitcoins, Investors had wide choices in investing. 15k to 20k, In my own opinion, Its gonna hard to happen.
Expert says that bitcoin will reach upto 50k USD on this year. So then if we are going to predict maybe bully is the start of the bitcoin bull run, because it is about the month trough year end. I think bitcoin will really experience A huge rising of price in month of July to August.

Which expert said it will go to 50k? In a bear market, no technical analysis really work ! This year people should not expect more than 10k but what's important is the mainstream usage of bitcoin which i am more hopeful to see. Right now the adoption is still very less and until there is adoption, the price rise which may happen won't sustain for long unless a organic growth is there to show for it.

Re: [ANN] [ICO] VIBEHub | Crypto Based Virtual Reality Marketplaces & Hubs
by

VIBEHUB seems more suitable for the traditional market rather than the crypto market. People are expecting a lot from VIBEHUB in a very small span of time. People please, just chill for some time. We all know VIBE reached a good price some time back and it is not even 10 percent of that price anymore but that is just due to pump and dump which many of you fell prey to.
I dont expect anything considerable to happen before the end of the year and anyone investing should just relax and wait it out for a good long year like you wait for any good Marvel movie. Good things happen to those who wait for them.

Re: Bitcoin to 3000$?
by
rajatjain
on 01/04/2018, 11:39:51 UTC
Some people are talking that Bitcoin will be 3000$. What is your opinion? When will recover all this falling? Is this the END?

There are multiple TAs which do indicate that 3000 will be achieved soon but i have seen multiple TAs from multiple people all ranging bitcoin from 1500 dollars to 15000 dollars soon. Thankfully there is no negative news from the past week regarding any regulation or banning of advertisements related to crypto but one needs to be on the watchout since there are groups which are trying to put a negative sentiment altogether. Fake ICOs need to be rooted out and exchanges need to be more hard on the ICOs in order to ensure a better security for people. If the fake ICOs which are already on premium exchanges are rooted out, then the market will stabilize and even grow. As for bitcoin only, the price point still is pretty high considering the cost of making a bitcoin, electricity usage and the amount of complexity involved. Once we get in fiat pairs, the market will get more influx of money.

Re: When the market turns green! Which coin jumps fastest
by
rajatjain
on 01/04/2018, 11:34:25 UTC
If the market develops positively in the next few weeks. Which coin or token will rise fastest in 4 months ??
I would like to hear your opinion . Thank You

There is no way anyone can answer the fastest and i guess that is pretty much clear to you also. If you want to seek out the growth which has the highest potential then you need to seek out coins which have major development news coming in the 4 months which will be either product launches, exchanges or partnerships with other cryptos or companies.

Why hasn't the team got the circulating supply updated on the coinmarketcap website? It looks a bit unprofessional considering that most people check coinmarketcap for checking out coins which perform the best and the worst in order to invest.

ICOs
by
rajatjain
on 23/03/2018, 04:21:39 UTC
Back in october when i invested in my first ICO, everything seemed like a dream. The coin i invested in rose over 25 times and every other coin was going up. I wanted to invest in more ICOs but i waited and saw that from that time almost all ICOs have gone down and not even given the value they were purchased for. Why  are people still investing heavily in ICOs when they know that there is a higher risk of the project failing or atleast the price going down?

Is there currently a wallet available for the $GLA tokens? Or if not, is one expected to be released soon?

why you need wallet for gladius? for what? use myetherwallet for example. they should not waste theur time.

Gladius wallet will be used for earning money when nodes are run through it. I am not completely sure, but i think payment is in dollars and not gladius tokens!

VIBEHub has closed a multi-million dollar deal and we are pleased to say the deal is officially signed . We will be announcing the deal at 3PM PST this Tuesday. Our team is excited and amazing things are about to happen for our company. The future of our reality awaits

https://twitter.com/VibeHubVR

That is some good news, although, i would like to say all the holders that do not raise your expectations much and think of this announcement like a daily thing otherwise some of the people might buy a huge pump surrounding the news and may get screwed later on, in case a sell off happens! The deal is most likely to be with a huge artist or label so it is important to ensure that the news comes from the other end as well and not just from the vibe team. I do hope there is some marketing to go along with it on some prominent news coverage and articles on some related websites.

I just can not believe that the price is falling 7 days in the row and nobody is not telling anything about it??? Is everything ok? I mean 7 Days in the row. From 0.0042700 to 0.0028000... This is not correction or pullback or something. It is ok 10-20% of correction but 45% fall. Something is not right

Yeah, it is not right that people like you hold GVT who do not have even an ounce of patience. I don't understand why a particular coin would keep on rising every day even when the whole market sentiment is down at the moment. If you understand the basic understanding of crypto market, you would understand the fluctuations are higher for a coin whose circulating supply is that low.
Back your accusations with some facts instead of pointing towards uncertainty. You won't go far in this forum with posts like this.

Re: Should I Invest In Downfall Crypto market
by
rajatjain
on 15/03/2018, 12:59:06 UTC
Hello...Guys. I'm Confused now. The Crypto Market losing approx 10 Percent. So Should I invest in this downfall or wait for sometime?

Do you invest based on the market conditions or on your coin's performance and confidence in it? i think you need to think it terms of long term growth whenever you are investing in a particular coin. The market has risen and fallen just too many times to show that it will recover no matter what news is circulating out there. You might make a 5 to 10 percent gain in case you wait and the market falls further but you need to compare with the aspect that market might recover faster than expected and your chance for dip has gone. Either way its your FA/TA which should make the decision.

Re: Two suggestions regarding Merit
by
rajatjain
on 15/03/2018, 12:53:47 UTC
1. The process of sending merit seems a bit annoying. You've to go through another web-page and select number of merit to be sent and then send it. IMO, it'd be better if it could be sent just by clicking "+Merit" button right within the thread.

2. It'd be much better if you guys allow only one merit by the merit-sender per post. This will reduce fake-merit-exchange or fake-merit-giving. There're people sending tens of their merits to a single post which clearly seems like something fishy.

Regarding #2, i don't think it will solve the purpose. Let's say that one post is allowed to have only one merit per sender, but there is a other workaround which involves sending merits to all the different posts of the user just to ensure that fake merits are given. Moreover there are some high quality posts which does provide such good insights that members having huge number of merits do want to give away more for it. Fake merits will be done irrespective of a post's quality or any conditions applied.

If its a interesting/extremely good post which brings some good knowledge to the forum, even a 100 merits may be less and if its a shit post even 1 merit is way more than that person should ever get.

Is negative trust working?
by
rajatjain
on 10/03/2018, 04:49:36 UTC
I see so many of the users of the forum who are having negative trusts getting accepted into bounty campaigns! Most of the campaigns do not allow users with negative trust to enroll in their campaign but there are some which do not follow this rule. Shouldn't the users with negative trusts be not allowed to set up signatures of any kind from the forum's end itself ?

To ensure that trust actually works and means something, shouldn't the campaigns which accept participants of negative trust be not allowed on this forum?

Re: Suggestion: Make report stats public
by
rajatjain
on 10/03/2018, 03:29:22 UTC
Nah, I don't agree with handing out special privileges based on users who have high ranks or even high statistics. I don't think merit is the perfect option either as it was introduced as a incentive and reward system for constructive posts, but just gave that as an example for rewards. It would make much more sense for users to receive Bitcoin/altcoin what ever for their contributions somewhat like how signature campaigns are run. Though, this wouldn't be a great pay and wouldn't be anywhere near the signature campaign rates, just an incentive.

To my knowledge once posts are reported they are dealt with within a few hours at the most. Of course this depends on what time zone you are in and when the moderators are available but, judging by how quick reports are dealt with I don't think it's an issue of not having enough moderators able to act on the reports it's the fact that not a lot of people report.

Take for example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2166379.msg21740582#msg21740582

If we have a look at the last 120 days from that update we have some very big drops between users. Generally speaking if we had more users reporting then we would probably not see such big drops. I'm not trying to make those who had reported the lesser amounts on that list sound bad either 50 posts is awesome in the last 120 days, but I think if we had a list of the top 100 we would see a few users only reporting a couple of reports in 120 days. This is based on assumption, but that's why it would be nice to have a response on how many reports are posted a day and how many of those are good reports. If there's a lot of posts which are bad then it might be beneficial to post a topic with advise on reports.

The current moderators are few in number and might have to deal with a lot of posts being reported on a daily basis. Having special privileges doled out to some legendary users and hero members for a start would lessen the load from those moderators and make up for some increased oversight of the reported activity. Since the members who are given privileges also faces risk of losing out on their ranks and merits, it won't be abused by them to carry out any personal vendetta against users who differ with their opinion.

Guys , we have to do something .

I see a some posts like giveaway tokens for anyone who do some easy tasks and write their info in google doc form .

This is actually scam . Because they invited them to their airdrop telegram or directly joined in a invited airdrop link .

It's make people who scam get more refferal and they no pay for people who do the tasks as promise .

What you are referring as scam would more or less qualify most of the bounty campaigns and airdrops as scams! For a project to be called as scam i follow some basic steps:-
1) Check if the team has pictures and videos of them talking about the project. No pictures and videos of the team means a higher probability of running away with the money with no way to point at a face. Always crosscheck the pictures placed on the website with a reverse image check to ensure that the pictures are not taken from shutterstock or any other website hosting tons of photographs.
2) Check their whitepaper and try to find similar projects or run a search of the whitepaper to find if there is a similarity with the other project and then you can call them out on their thread or start your own with some facts.

Regarding giveaways, that is still allowed. Most of the people refer people other projects with the hope of getting "a little extra for themselves" by doing it.

Some projects put in a lot of effort so you need to do your bit of research and then accuse any project of scamming or not following rules because it might damage someone's reputation if accusations are made without any facts! No one is going to do the research for you if you simply put up a project name and call it as scam!

It's too strange , i see many people think that scam is " take money and go away " .

Furthurmore , they can steal your information to use for their benefit . Airdrop for no airdrop to get more refferal register under their link or spread virus for controlling your computer .

Let's think deeply . What's about a project that required kyc . And after few days ,they're gone ? supplying detailed information of yourself for unknown person is very dangerous .

If someone kept kyc as requirement and took your personal details and any identity information such as passport/driver's license/national identity card, then it hints that these people are mostly looking at entering a single bounty campaign with multiple bitcointalk profiles and they will supply those kyc details when they are claiming bounty or airdrop from those campaigns. It is a scam indeed!
I can't think of a way as to how we can get rid of this issue since any one can ask for KYC disguised as a token and it will altogether come as a personal responsibility only. I do hope that bounty campaigns do not put spreadsheets of the participants list along with their details on the forum since that will make for a little less chance of people getting scammed.

If there's any other ideas on how we can get more people reporting and helping maybe we can get this forum a lot cleaner and get some of the readability back that I'm afraid we've lost in certain sections of the forum. If this is too resource heavy have it update every so often instead of instantly even if it updates every 2 weeks or month it should be sufficient enough.

I think any hero and legendary member with a good trust and merit score should be given some privileges to immediately ban users which they find are spamming or posting comments which are less than a certain character limit or are not helpful.

For ranks member above, legendary members can take the call while for newbies and jr. members hero members and above can take the call for ban.

If someone is wrongly banned, the user should be allowed to file a claim where if the user is found not guilty, then the merit score and the trust score of the person who banned will drop down! The claim can be handled by one admin and few of the trusted legendary members!

Mods can include 1 merit point for every x posts correctly reported and take away merits for incorrectly reported too.
