So hyped for poirier last fight
Really really hope he wins convincingly. Would be a fitting send off
That did not happen and he did not get the storybook ending everybody had hoped for.
He got dominated in the first round with a knockout but recovered and it was mostly a standup fight.
So it was a Holloway showboat of a fight with his superior boxing skills helping him in the end win by decision.
The card was starting off great with I believe the first five ending in finishes. I lost count after so many and it was like that the last time they went to NOLA a decade ago alot of finishes.
But by the time the main card started they were mostly ended all by decision. Two major upsets with Zellhuber & Holland losing where they were both 1.16x odds.
Overall it was a impressive event and well worth it to watch again because I missed a few of them including the Paulo Costa fight. Which was also an upset.
Yes, it was a great card. And regarding Paulo Costa, he hadn't won a fight in almost three years, coming off two consecutive losses. But now he must have gotten the hang of it and should soon be ranked again in the division. His resilience and willpower are impressive.
That was one of the better fights and Vettori vs Allen won fight of the night although it was also one-sided in favor for Brendan.
Once Costa had that loss to Adesanya where he got really beat up, he just wasn't the same fighter after that.
Those long string of losses on his record did not look good at all and thought he might of retired that night the same as Poirier if he did not get a win over Kopylov. But he did his job and was now asking for a title fight.
So Costa thinks he can hang with the big boys in the division once more.
He must feel really good to get that monkey off his back and ready to get back into action again.

Main went fight went just like I expected.
Full five rounds and Holloway winning on points by unanimous decision.
Poirier only chance was to move fight on the ground, but he is retiring from UFC with a loss.
Is Topuria going to be the next fight for Holloway?
Many were saying it was going to Holloway since he was looking alot better at the top of this new weightclass and he did deliver. But alot of people were also saying that Poirier was going to put up a fight since he was 2-0 before that third fight. But we were all disappointed by Dustin this night.
Since Topuria just fought Max back in UFC 308, I don't think we will see them fight so soon.

There are several bills that are prepared to get signed into congress this week starting tomorrow into Thursday.
https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2025/07/14/congress/house-crypto-week-votes-00451112
https://www.politico.com/newsletters/morning-money/2025/07/14/house-gears-up-for-crypto-week-00450752

The one of major interest is the Genius Act that if passed can cause all the other dominoes to fall into place for bitcoin and cryptocurrenies as a whole:
https://www.cnbc.com/2025/07/14/crypto-week-genius-act.html
How so? I've thought the GENIUS act was suppossed to bring more clarity on stablecoin regulations. I think the one that will cause all the other dominoes to fall into place for Bitcoin and crypto would be the Anti-CBDC Surveillance Act. It will mark a huge win for privacy and freedom. Just what crypto/Blockchain stands for. Either way, all of these bills aim to make regulations more flexible for the industry. This will translate into higher investor confidence in the long run. I believe Trump is pushing the approval of pro-crypto bills for his own benefit. He has a Blockchain network (World Liberty Financial) and stablecoin (USD1) of his own.

By all means, the Trump administration is making history with its pro-crypto agenda. I hope Democrats don't put all efforts in vain if they win the White House and both chambers of Congress in the future (which is doubt they will). With all of the buzz surrounding stablecoins, I think they will become the de-facto digital Fiat currencies of the US. In essence, they will work like a CBDC. So even with the Anti-CBDC Surveillance Act in place, the US government would've already have an unofficial digital USD of its own. As for Bitcoin, the government will continue to increase its holdings as a sort of inflation hedge. Just like Gold. The Strategic Crypto Reserve is the first step. Exciting times ahead for all Bitcoiners.
These bills including the Genius act would cause complacency through out the rest of the political parties therefore they all must conform to whatever is passed into law.
And of course the Anti-CBDC surveillance act would set everyone at ease when it comes to stablecoins.
All these bills are to set a tone of regulation when it comes to cryptocurrenies and how they are handled within the banking system under the laws imposed by the government.

Only seen grok interactions on twitter, and been good for X with people using it to confirm thing's,find sources or even conduct giveaways
There maybe some initial bugs but im sure it’ll get better
The most uncensored AI is grok. I do use chatgpt, gemini for my work. But what I found that grok is uncensored. Grok didn't even flick to say something about politic figure. If elon musk still gets connected with chatgpt we could have seen our current AI technology 3x better than this. Instead he choose to build his own AI platform.

Haha he is combining a social media platform with AI.  Grok is constantly learning from X . Since there is millions of people feeding grok. It's sure can rule over in future AI platforms.
This is what Musk markets grok as with free speech and does constantly endorse it's fundamentals on X daily.
Wouldn't doubt the censored AI models can only be used for your work. Since the answers grok provides can be very controversial thus not work safe at times.

Anyone trying for the 10 win streak on womens euros to win 1k ?
Love to try but it women football though, shitty stuff always happen with it. I tried something similar like this months ago, cant really recall what was the tournament but it was regular football. Highest I could get was 4 lol, pretty sure it will be lower on women football
Hadn't been keeping up with this tournament but just from a quick glance of the markets it looks like Spain and England are the favorites to face-off with each other after the games on 22nd and 23rd are done.
Promotion does end the 2nd of August so it must include the matches from Copa America Femenina.

Getting Max to Mercedes doesn't really seem to be the thing Mercedes needs at the moment, we are talking about a bad car, unfortunately Mercedes doesn't have a good car and if they do have a great one at 2026 with new regulations that would be great for them, but if they don't, then I am sorry but they would still fail, with max or without him.

All teams need to focus on the car at the moment, we are talking about a whole brand new car, something that is incredibly difficult to manufacture because you have no idea what's wrong and what's not, look at how McLaren got so much better over course of just a season last time, so we can be safe to assume that we are not going to see teams know what they are doing for a long time, and one lucky winner will be doing something right, but then they all going to work on it to get better. Car is far superior and important than driver for next year, then it will be back on driver I am sure, but not for next season.
With Russell at Mercedes it will be difficult to have him agree to move there. They are not at the best terms with each other with the antics that have transpired over the course of this season so far.
From what I remember George's contract is over after this season so that could suit a Verstappen move quite well. Since it is not only the car that is a factor for a driver to agree the move to another team but also the driver.
I will take a guess and say Max will definitely warm up for the move to Mercedes with Antonelli there.

Probably a curse but that's right, was it Slacks that have said something about Team Liquid or it was a different context?
It was from the Dota subreddit, and the thread was probably about the group stage draw because I wanted to see the comments of others on who they think could win the whole thing.
I think that I've missed, I thought that it was Slacks thoughts about the team. Anyway, the battle for the 3rd placer has already started, we're already on the last day of the Esports World Cup. Good luck to everyone who's tuning in and have got bets for these teams. Later the grand finals will be more juicy and hopefully more exciting.
The grand finals between Team Spirit and Team Falcons is just beginning in the Esports World Cup.
The squads just go up on stage for their walk outs and the dota championship is about to start.
Have been fading Team Spirit this whole tournament to win but here they are.
Don't think it will be a stroll in the park for the Falcons in this matchup.

The conor incident was to get into the spotlight once again and many are saying to try and derail Dustin's farewell matchup since it has been getting all the attention this past week.
If this fight goes to the ground I think Dustin Poirier will have a better chance of winning.
I think that in stand up fighting Holloway is better and can win on points, and it is very important for both of them to start strong in first round.
Agreed.
Holloway is a great boxer and if they standup the entire fight then it is Max's fight to win. But if Dustin shoots often he can win it on the ground via submission. If you have seen the comparison photos when he fought Justin Gaethje and this week, he looks better now and more muscular.

Here are the main event fights:

Do you guys remember the hype of Hamilton going to Ferrari? How did that end?  Grin
Yes, his first season isn't going better. 103 points in 12 races so far. He might even collect less points than last season - in which he got 223 points.
But things might be different in 2026. Cars will be way different than now. Besides I'd like to trust Hamilton's instincts again. He made a right decision by joining Mercedes in the past. Let's see if he improves the title record before retirement.  Smiley
For @stompix
Yes, it did end terribly. Let's all be honest. The move of their Starboy to the team did not magically solve all their problems and actually made them worse. Leclerc now it seems is getting frustrated aswell. He probably feels he got pushed to the side as first driver when Hamilton arrived. Although I think he has more points than Lewis at this point since he did podium a few races ago from what I recall.

To make a joke...I think even Ferrari team don't know what they need to actually have a winning car and win consecutive races because this are the first steps towards winning another Constructors and Driver championship. So yea , you're right , Hamilton won't bring that sudden change and make them champion but it will have the aura of a champion that Ferrari forgot how it feels like so maybe that's a start. The rest is up to mechanics and the main team from Marannelo to actually deliver a top car next year.  Cool
I believe they think replacing the principle will solve all the team's problems and this is exactly what they will be doing with a Fred exit after this season so with 2026 coming in fresh for Hamilton 2.0 plan B *Ferrari joke!

Alice Pereira will  be the youngest female fighter in UFC history at 19 years, eight months, and 24 days When she fights Montserrat Rendon at the Noche UFC event Sept. 13 at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio.

https://mmajunkie.usatoday.com/story/sports/ufc/2025/07/08/ufc-news-alice-pereira-golden-girl-youngest-female-fighter/84495093007/

Crazy, ufc fight at just 19!! Can be a great career if shes any good.
That's not crazy, Raul Rosas Junior had a debut at the age of 18. As the MMA is becoming popular every day and UFC is gaining more fans, as well as the quality of life improves, medicine level and talent pool increases, we should expect more and more young fighters to make a debut in UFC.
By the way, this girl has such a legendary surname. Alex Pereira is one of the greatest UFC athlete. Alex Pereira's sister, Aline Pereira is also a fighter too, so this is probably in their blood.
Thought I heard she already fought before her debut at UFC Noche for Karate Combat 52 in Miami at the beginning of the year.
https://www.mmafighting.com/2025/1/10/24340967/alex-pereira-sister-aline-poatan-karate-combat-52-miami-lucas-martins-mineiro

Aline Pereira will be making history of becoming the youngest female fighter so yes that is different from the men who have already younger fighters.

She was only 20 years old and I thought that was young for a female fighter to join in the UFC.

Anyways, we have a UFC event this weekend so we will see if Poirier can finally get some hardware to take home this time.

As for the CWC predictor pool having a very low entry fee even if you won once it paid for all your lottery tickets during the tournament.
The EPL predictor pool which I did not mind paying the $10 entry fee one bit getting the prize of $100 and $500 for 7-9 correct was well worth it in my opinion.
Yeah those were good time but a month from now we will be playing on those again. Well overall Sportsbet.io promotions are super good though, if only all those clubs participated didnt just treat their game as some pre season warm up then this would be much better. I didnt watch like 70% of the game because it was just bad. Good lord Chelsea made the final totally unexpected
Remember the squad packs? I liked those little side contests just to keep it more interesting.
Never tried those, Im pretty dumb when it comes to fantasy like games though so I normally just skip those but I guess I could give it a try on the new season
I dont recheck so if you want to share with us, finally it worth the try the competition to bet on 3+ odds across the world club cup?
About the squad packs.... i dont play it, is pretty random and difficult, but i also have to say i never put so much effort on it, but i always feel like is much more spending than other contests.
They were released earlier this year as you can see from an old post I did when they just began these squad pack promotion:
Yeah think I've seen @mitchr4 post this on the Sportsbet.io ANN thread where everybody can give it a shot with a free pack given from that X post link.
Already claimed mine so decided to buy another pack just now:

Didn't get any players who I think will score a goal. So the ones from the free pack were more likely to score for mine!
https://sportsbet.io/sports/global-squads

Still have time to claim yours before the first match of EPL begin in a couple hours from now.
It was fun and if you had luck to get the high scoring players then you are are all set.

Been watching the transfers for Chelsea and from the looks of it they want to offload Nicolas Jackson so to get Joao Pedro's old teammate from Aston Villa:

So bet against Team Spirit, got it!
As for some CounterStrike tournament play we had Fissure Playground from July 15-20th in Serbia just began.
Surprisingly we had some Portuguese teams winning their matches yesterday with SAW, FURIA and paiN all looking good on the first day of this new installment of the CS2 circuit.
They all face tougher opposition in Lynn Vision and GamerLegion today with FURIA playing the winner tomorrow when the quarter-finals begin.
Uhm , do we really want to bet against Spirit ? I personally did on this 2nd map but I'm not so sure Gaimin can make it. However , they played better in 1st map too and only a comeback from Spirit made them winning 1st map. We also need to see 3 maps ...EWC deserve to be a close tournament and so far it was full of 2-0 which means teams are actually unbalanced in skill.
Went the same with @ralle14 for yesterday's match and choose Team Spirit where it was a 2-0 win.
As for the rest I lost on that esports acca with paiN gaming losing to Lynn Vision who are still winning matches that nobody would think they should.
Also picked Virtus.pro on that same betslip so would of lost it anyways since they lost MiBR.
