I think Joel_Jantsen is right....even the link to Amazon is proof of over charging at least

We've already dismissed that accusation above.

You can't get t-shirts printed on both sides at the cost of those linked on Amazon by Joel_Jantsen.

The stupidity of your arguments is obvious by your statements which are obviously NOT researched.

You have conveniently linked to an Amazon store that sells t-shirts of a specific color with NO custom print on the front and back. This printing on both sides of the t-shirt increases the cost. Also, we are counting at least Rs. 50-100 ($1-$1.5) for distribution (travelling mainly). Thus, the figure comes to about $15.

Please stop throwing baseless arguments at us like in the last campaign. You either have some direct vendetta against us or you're just extremely racist. Either way, stop trolling our efforts. And if you think you can do any better, please go ahead and start your own campaign here.

Thank you.
Out of 20 points I made you only replied to 1 of them stating you need "$1" for shipping ? WOW.What do you mean baseless arguments ? I have quoted every single line of your's with valid explanations, its you who hasn't bothered replying to any of them.Where is the racist part coming from ? How can I be racist when I'm an Indian too ? You're simply not able to take the criticism as you're fraudsters and scammers who extort people in plain white lies.Answer my one and only question :

Why haven't you tried funding from 1.Government 2.Charities 3.Door-Door campaigns ?
If you're answer is "Because our scam would be busted and we would be behind the bars" please don't bother replying.

P.S. : As long as I'm around the bitcointalk community, don't even expect a single Satoshi from this site.

Lol. You're so cute. Smiley

Hello everybody! Our last post here was met with a lot of distaste but also some constructive suggestions on how to improve our process.
NOPE.That doesn't change the fact you're scamming people.Ripping people off their coins!

We are coming back to you, with a better objective: To give T-Shirts to underprivileged people at traffic lights in India, starting with Delhi.
Why ? There are enough charities in India which do the same for free. Also the cost of the t-shirts you're selling is not even 0.01BTC ,in India its 60 rupee. That's like 0.0005 ! So don't give us that bullshit.

If you have read our posts on http://redlightblues.in, you will see that these people unfortunately, don't have access to good clothing. We notice that is a problem with at least 95% of people working at traffic lights in India. They wear whatever they can get their hands on, usually clothes that have been thrown away by other people.
No.People donate a shit tons of cloths every month of a number charities across delhi.Get in touch with those charities and maybe help them out instead of seeking every opprtunity to scam people here on Bitcointalk. Why can't you ask money from Delhi Local People ? I heard everyone drives polish cars and belong to lavish families.Giving out a a few bucks for something as good would never be a problem for them but you're scammers and you know they won't entertain you.

So we are bringing this opportunity to you to give one poor person one t-shirt. Unlike our previous un-calculated post, we've done the math this time!
This seems like a more refined scam attempt.

It would cost us 0.02BTC ($15) to give 1 person 1 t-shirt. We have a goal of giving at least 2000 people t-shirts, for which we would need to raise 40BTC. But we will start work as soon as we get enough for 10 tshirts.
WTF $15 FOR A TSHIRT ? THAT IS 960 INDIAN RUPEE ! EVEN I DON'T FUCKIN WEAR CLOTHS THAT EXPENSIVE.If anyone wants to cross verify how expensive are Tshirts in India ,here you go : http://www.amazon.in/T-Shirts/b?ie=UTF8&node=1968123031
Please donate me a Tshirt too,I can't certainly afford a tshirt that expensive.

But you might ask, apart from this being a good deed, what is it for the Bitcoin community? Simple: We're printing designs on the front and back of the shirt. The front, will have a design of a Bitcoin and/or Bitcoin related art. The back, would have a QR code and/or link to our website - redlightblues.in.
So what is in it for a bitcoin community again ? Bullocks, that is.

This presents yet another unique opportunity to people/companies/casinos that would like to see custom front-designs! If you donate between 2-5BTC, you can decide the front design of the t-shirts, given they're not objectionable designs. If you donate between 5-10BTC, you can decide on the front AND back designs and we'll only have the URL to our website at the bottom of the back of the t-shirt.
LMAO This is the dumbest thing I have heard this year. You're a delhi fucktard and this is expected.Beggars wearing a bitcoin gambling T-SHIRT in India,in Delhi where people have hard times understand English.Fuck,Indian government doesn't allow sports betting legally in India, forget about bitcoin gambling. You sir, should give up begging for bitcoins here.No one is falling for this and honestly stop making money taking poor people as your circle of influence.

We understand that a lot of scammers use this forum to try to cheat Bitcoin owners out of their money. We aren't one of those people. We're happy to respond to any queries you may have at the following email address - hi@redlightblues.in.
Putting up a website and begging professionally doesn't make you less than a scammer.

We are also tying up with a 2 year old established NGO in the next couple of days. This NGO is owned by prominent BJP (a political party) leaders Uma Bharti and Manju Tewari! (Touch-wood, fingers-crossed)! This would be a big step for us. Aircel has also shown some interest but their CSR team (the marcom manager - Mr. Manish) is a little slow on the take, and said he needs time to discuss this with his superiors!
If you support from all the big shots mentioned above, why beg for bitcoins here ? Those political parties have already sucked lot of wealth from India ,you are just another faggot trying to suck it from the bitcoin community.

Advice to my fellow Bitcoiners : OP is putting up a blatant scam by his initiative. He would do a lot without the need of your/mine bitcoins. What does he wants bitcoins for ? To convert them into fiat so he could buy those expensive Tshirts for the street beggars ? A lot of NGO's are already taking care of that without asking any money or begging for it like the OP.For 0.02 you can buy 12 good Tshirts in India while OP is buying one ,maybe its sponsored by Nike or Adidas.Refrain yourself from falling into this scam as I'm pretty sure OP is another typical scammer from India trying to use his emotions and sympathy to beg for bitcoins.Ask him a simple question if he has ever tried raising money in India through public conferences or political influences. He hasn't,because he knows ,he'll get ass kicked by the public for lying. You guys should imagine how they are not ready to accept any lower amounts and faking the Tshirt stats.Go ahead, donate your money only to see some scammer living nice life out of it.

The stupidity of your arguments is obvious by your statements which are obviously NOT researched.

Here are images of t-shirt front designs: http://imgur.com/a/NbtnA

Hello everybody! Our last post here was met with a lot of distaste but also some constructive suggestions on how to improve our process. Most of the points mentioned there were true. We should have done more research before getting excited and posting. All in all, our approach was wrong and we apologise.

We are coming back to you, with a better objective: To give T-Shirts to underprivileged people at traffic lights in India, starting with Delhi.

i think this seems "off" to a few people because the OP is throwing out numbers like 0.5btc($330)
or even 50btc($33,000) before he will get off his ass to make a video

not only do i not like the "Once we reach 50[$33k] Bitcoins - We will shoot a few videos of our interactions with the people at traffic lights"..
but also you wont give donors your personal emails unless they hand over 20btc($13k)

come on $33,000 for just "a few interactions"... and $13k to get a personal email.. sounds off!!

if the charitable cause is to feed a child. then dont ask for $330-$13k, instead ask for $0.50.(enough to feed atleast one child)

for instance seans outpost was a massive success. not because he asked for $33,000.. but instead he calculated the cost of one meal and promoted the donations as X would pay to feed X people.... XX would pay to feed XX people.
he received alots of funds combined. but this was because he was not asking for lots of funds combined.

for instance you said that your own $375 went to pay for 90 people..
so how about saying that
0.6btc can feed 90 people,
0.06btc can feed 9 kids
0.02btc can feed 3 kids

put it another way..
children selling balloons on "happy street" do not ask people to buy all the balloons in one go.. they sale each one individually until the total is reached.

Thank you very much for your comment. We should have done some more due diligence. The current cost of 1BTC shows as ~$647. That is amazing, but then screws up all our existing calculations. Lol, we sound so stupid asking for so much money!

We definitely don't need so much money. It's not only stupid, but annoying to see someone asking for that kind of money.

We'll do our research, and break up the costs as you suggested. We thought of doing that originally, but dropped the idea.

Thank you again.

You could give more information how you're actually using the donations .

If I'm not wrong, you're making stories from interviewing random poor struggling people from the streets, making a blog post about it and given them food as part of the gesture. Now,I'm really not sure what you're intentions are
1.You want to make the blog famous
2.Or you wish to help the poor,
3.Mutual profits

In 1 and 3 cases, you don't need donations at all, there is a term for it logically ,"Investors" who need a equity stake in your business. In the 2nd case, you don't need the 1st and 3rd discrepancies at all, that does make it look like a scam you're doing to fulfill your packets while giving biscuit packets for the poor and a name for the donater on your website.Well, that hardly matters, you're not giving any significant benefits afterall and it sounds shady as hell.Make up your mind and decide what exactly you have to do.You can't make a business out of charity ,unless you want to scam people.

A very good question. And we've heard this multiple times from different people.
We don't want to be taking donations forever. We also don't want to make RLB a business.
We want to create something that makes money to be self-sufficient without external funding/donation.
Hence, (1) is true. We want to make the blog famous. That's one way it can become self-sufficient. (2) We definitely want to help the poor. We've only spent money till now, never got any inflow of money. All of that, to help the poor. Our founder has done a whole bunch of odd jobs to make funds available to pursue this. We even teach students in our spare time, as you'll notice in one of the articles on the blog.
We don't wish to scam. And we realise the 'newbie' status is giving us a lot of negative light. But we sure need help. We're looking for any and every suggestion on raising money for this!

You have a very good intention om my research you are headed by a certain Aantchal ,you should have started your post about who are behind this organization and what are those people credentials to run this campaign, and are you goverment accredited and where can we access it..

Thank you very much robelneo. Yes, Aanchal Pant is our founder and editor in chief. We are a 50 odd member organisation working from various parts of India. We aren't associated with the Government, but have recently got good support from famous BJP leader - Uma Bharti.

Along with previous replies, your newbie status here in the forums is likely going to catch some heat for you. Plus, since your project doesn't really have anything to do with bitcoin or another cryptocurrency, posting in here just looking for bitcoins is a bit problematic too. You'll get some negative reactions here for sure. Feel free to open up a campaign on my site though, PM me if you need help getting started.

Hey, yes, we understand that there are a lot of scammers and that people would automatically assume us to be scammers as well. Please link us to your website and we will try to get a campaign going there! Thank you very much!

Newbie ask for donations which we don't really know who you are.
If you really serious about this project, you can create your own campaign on indiegogo crowdfunding, or on coinfunder.com
People here will not donate to someone who don't know. Especially you rank is newbie with 3 activity point.

Yes, that makes sense. We think we can do a campaign on coinfunder.com. Also, just because our account is completely new, we've added the Bitcoin address on our website as well, to prove that we are the same people!

I'm not expecting a reply from your since it's mostly a throwaway account.Let's break it down for ya.

1.Fuck Delhi and fuck you Aanchal looking to scam people.

2.Basically you want money to do free stuff ? You jobless piece of shit, you go around taking time out of poor people's lives and make stories out of it ,distribute it around and make money ? Right?

3.Have you ever thought your stupid ass could actually donate some money and help those poor people ? No,you would not care ,because the type of bitch you're.

4.Asking people for 20BTC,you can buy yourself a fuckin house in Delhi with that money. You don't deserve even 1 rupees for your shit idea.Making stories out of hard working people, what are you giving them in return ? I know ,a fuckin hug right ?

5.Who said bitcoin community helps such things ? No one likes scammers around like you and your entire entourage. No one gives two satoshi's about people begging for bitcoins. You're case is different ,you're looking to scam.

6.Please if you're reading this, don't donate even a satoshi to this scammers.Scamming people in the name of business ,fuckin devils fear karma ,see what you're doing.

  • Fuck Delhi? Why so? And no, we are not looking to scam people.
  • To do free stuff? Do you know how much money it would take to organise these things to scale, to actually mean something? We could just as easily approach corporate sponsors and get thousands and thousands of dollars from their CSR fund. But we thought this would be unique, to be funded by Bitcoins.
  • We have donated around $375 to this. We continue to donate. When we're completely out of funds, we go to peoples houses to ask for donations. We go around knocking at 200 peoples houses. Why? Does that seem like scamming to you?
  • No, you cannot buy a house in Delhi for 20BTC. We want to give them a meal, we want to make them happy even if it is only for 1 meal. Yes, we also do free hugs!
  • We're not begging. We're asking for donations. Scam? Why do you keep saying that? Can you justify? In India, like most countries, "Innocent until proven guilty." So please, prove us guilty, and we will withdraw. Otherwise, don't be coming here with jealousy or vendetta in mind and trying to spoil our donation drive.
  • Yes, this is the only part where I agree with Joel. Do not donate if you think this is a scam. Please ask for proof. Please wait a bit, see what else we do. There is no deadline. We never said "Hey, we want your money this instant." We're just putting it out there. If anybody is interested, you may, if not, thank you for your time!

Please refrain from throwing out accusations like that. Sure, you guys may have been swindled in the past, but that doesnt mean you can insult our work outright like Joel here. Its ridiculous.

RedLightBlues.in is looking for donations!
by

Who/What are we?

RedLightBlues.in is a website created to voice the voiceless. At RLB, we head out to various traffic lights in and across India's national capital - Delhi, to interview and give voice to the stories and lives of people that we pass on a daily basis at traffic-lights. We ask you through our posts to let them in, hear their story and empathise with them instead of sympathising even if it is for the duration of the stop light.

Here are some sample, heartwarming stories that you may like:

The Story of Radha - http://redlightblues.in/index.php/lens_portfolio/the-story-of-radha/
The Story of Raamnivas - http://redlightblues.in/index.php/lens_portfolio/the-story-of-raamnivas/
The Story of Phoola - http://redlightblues.in/index.php/lens_portfolio/the-story-of-phoola/

What do we want:

We want to reach out to more people, especially children. We want to expand to different cities and places. We want to give as many people as we can, a voice.

Somebody in our team suggested that we try to look for donations in Bitcoins as the community cares about such issues.

Our reason for raising donation is to feed everybody we interview. On average, we interview 5 people per story. One common thing we hear from them when we give them some chocolate is "Didi, hume koi acche hotel mein khana khaana hai ek baar.." Which translates to "Sister, we would like to eat in a good hotel once." So, we tried to pool in our pocket money and borrowed a bit from here and there and were able to arrange for Rs. 25000/- (about $375). We were able to feed about 90 people with this money.

We want to do more than just give these amazing people food. There are people on the streets that make breathtaking jewellery. There are those that have specific skills like singing or dancing. And while they might not be professional grade artists, we're sure it'll give you a warm feeling to know that they earned their donation and were able to go eat at a good hotel with it. We're also thinking of creating an aggregation service to let them feel the love of the Bitcoin community. To be able to sell to foreigners and earn their money without having to open bank accounts and deal with import/export law and all that government rubbish. We want to give them an opportunity. We want them to feel like there are people out there who still care.

Here are some images from our blog. The photos are taken by the interviewer, on most occasions. Though they may not be the best photos, you will notice that there is a level of professionalism here.

What we offer the Bitcoin Community:

If you would be so kind as to donate, please send your donation to this address - 3Ef5oLnjXJneJjq58D841SLPvpCh5M1rqi and once you have, leave a comment below. We'd like to offer the following to the Bitcoin community:

  • Once we reach 10 Bitcoins - We will announce the support of the Bitcoin community for RedLightBlues through our website, and social media profiles.
  • Once we reach 20 Bitcoins - We will change our logo on our website and social media profiles everywhere to reflect that Bitcoin is a big part of RedLightBlues. We have some ideas on how to go about this. (We can give you guys a rough sample if you'd like).
  • Once we reach 50 Bitcoins - We will shoot a few videos of our interactions with the people at traffic lights, and also shoot how we take them to some fast-food restaurant like McDonalds, or KFC and how they react (Note: We usually only take kids to eat.)

What we offer donors:

We want to thank any and every donor, irrelevant of donation size, because we believe that small drops of water make a mighty ocean. We will put up a list of every donor that makes a contribution to RLB.

But as a special thanks, we will have 3 classes of donations.

  • Diamond Donors (20BTC or more donation) - These members will be given our personal email addresses where they can keep in touch with the RLB team, ask about the developments, make suggestions about the direction of RLB and help guide us onto the next level. These members will also receive a weekly newsletter telling them of RLB's advancements. It will contain links to media that will not be publicly shared on the blog. We will host a page where each Platinum donor may mention their real name or nickname, one website and one picture (anything except those deemed inappropriate).
  • Platinum Donors (10BTC - 20BTC donation) - These members will receive a weekly newsletter telling them of RLB's advancements. It will contain links to media that will not be publicly shared on the blog. We will host a page where each Platinum donor may mention their real name or nickname, one website and one picture (anything except those deemed inappropriate).
  • Gold Donors (5BTC - 10BTC donation) - Each Gold donor will get a place on the website to mention their real name or nickname, one website and one picture (anything except those deemed inappropriate).
  • Silver Donors (1BTC - 5BTC donation) - Each Silver donor will get a place on the website to mention their real name or nickname and one website!
  • Bronze Donors (0.5BTC - 1BTC donation) - Each Bronze donor will get a place on the website to mention their real name or nickname!
