Re: Pump Bitcoin Karena Donald Trump Menang?

-snip-

Re: What is your perspective on the increasing number of casinos?

The increasing number of casinos will only increase competition in the gambling industry; it doesn't automatically lead to a proportional increase in the number of gamblers. It will most likely only affect market share among casino operators, with the stronger dominating and the weaker gradually being eliminated. Therefore, the increasing number of casinos directly benefits gamblers, as there will be more promotions and a wider variety of rewards available. And casinos will likely maintain the quality of their service to avoid losing their players.

Re: Help PHilippines: billions wasted on flood projects

I've been following this news, and it’s no surprise that the Filipino public is outraged over this mega-corruption scandal. So much public money was used to build this flood control project, yet these officials seem to have hit it big and are embezzling the money for their own personal gain. It's simply unfair that, in the midst of such a dire economic situation, these officials are enjoying so much money and are oblivious to the suffering of the people.

How long will this cycle continue? funds meant to save lives end up stolen, and people are left with nothing but empty promises.

The morals of Philippine officials are almost the same as those in my country; deeply corrupt. But this is the result of a system that has been allowed to fester for years without serious reform. Corruption is considered commonplace, while integrity is secondary. And this is what has prevented the country from developing at all, because these officials are so comfortably and don't think about the plight of the common people who struggle daily just to make ends meet.

Going forward, we should be more conscious about choosing people based solely on their track record and performance, not on sweet promises, fleeting image-building, or the money they hand out before elections, so that this circle can at least be reduced.

The Spanish national team is truly fortunate at the moment. They have an exceptional young squad that will keep them strong for the long term. They'll even become stronger as they gain experience in football. And yes, they're dominating the game, and we can see no signs of this team weakening. In fact, this team seems to be getting more solid over time. The strong attacking partnership in the Spanish national team is also balanced by the excellent cooperation of the midfield and defense, which are equally impressive. This creates a solid team. In the previous World Cup, Spain only advanced to the round of 16. But I'm confident that in the next World Cup, they will go even further and even become title contenders.

The Spanish national team is currently at an advantage because they have a squad filled with a majority of talented young players, such as Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, Pedri, Dean Huijsen, Gonzalo García, and others. This makes them a highly promising national team with a strong foundation.

The focus now is how Luis De la Fuente can manage the egos of these players, as this national team is filled with young players who are still in the process of proving themselves and full of ambition. This is particularly evident with the dominance of Barcelona players in the squad, who often clash with their Real Madrid counterparts. A clear example is Dean Huijsen, who reportedly faced mockery from Barca players during national team duty simply because of his move to Madrid.

However, the Spanish national team does have a significant advantage in terms of experience, creativity, and speed. This makes Spain a strong contender to win the World Cup.

Re: Do you consider bitcoin as a currency or as a digital investment asset

Lately I have been thinking……..what do people nowadays consider bitcoin to be: as a digital asset for storing value and investment or as a currency which was the initial purpose of its creation.
-snip-

People use Bitcoin for different purposes; some treat it as a means of transaction, while others see it as an investment. Each has its own purpose. Personally, I consider Bitcoin primarily a means of transaction. While it can be used for investment, Bitcoin’s original purpose was to serve as an innovative payment network and a new kind of money. While many may not focus on this aspect, I believe it’s important to understand Bitcoin this way and not view it solely as an investment.

Re: Returning back to gambling after quitting

And within myself, I am still wondering, what could possibly lead a person back to gambling after successfully quitting initially? Know well the reason for initially quitting was addiction, does it make sense to go back to gambling and become even more addicted?

What your friend is experiencing is most likely a rebound effect - an increase in behavior after stopping. This usually happens due to excessive cravings and an inability to control them. It may be triggered by stress, environmental factors, or overconfidence in one’s ability to control themselves later. This is a common problem among addicts and often occurs during critical periods. Therefore, for those who cannot manage their cravings during recovery, this kind of rebound effect can potentially occur.

Despite one of their key strikers, Lukaku, being absent due to injury, the Belgian national team appears to be increasingly prolific in scoring goals.

Just look at the two matches they've played this week. The Belgian national team has scored a total of 12 goals in those two matches, with 6 goals per match. And it seems like there's always a different player scoring. Only Kevin De Bruyne has managed to score in both matches, with a total of 3 goals. I think Belgium is slightly better now.

The Belgian national team has performed very well in their last two matches, earning 12 points in just two matches, placing them in second place in Group J, one place behind North Macedonia. This is a significant achievement for the Belgian national team, especially since their players have been quite productive in their last matches. If they can win their remaining matches, it's very possible that the Belgian national team can qualify directly for the World Cup.

Max won the Monza GP, which was quite impressive considering how wide the gap was to Norris. It seems the RB21 is perfectly suited to a circuit with characteristics like Monza. Let's see if the RB21 will also dominate at the upcoming Azerbaijan GP.

As predicted, Ferrari couldn't do anything at their home race. They were content with fourth and sixth places, not the expected achievement of at least a podium finish. However, it seemed their performance had reached its limit and couldn't be pushed any further. The silver lining in this race was that Hamilton was able to finish safely and earn points.

The battle between the two McLarens also seems to be more equal now with the difference being only 31 points, if Norris can maximize his position in the upcoming races, then he still has a chance to take first place from Piastri.

Re: Berani mengambil resiko apakah salah satu tindakan menuju sukses
by

on 06/09/2025, 18:45:07 UTC

Discussing conflicts of interest, Trump has previously issued several policies that allegedly benefited his personal interests and those of his group. So, this is a matter of whether or not it's simply ethical. However, discussing ethics with Trump seems almost pointless, given his controversial track record of frequently ignoring political norms for personal gain.

However, there’s nothing inherently wrong with this, as no federal law specifically prohibits the president’s family from engaging in business. While it may appear connected to decisions made by the president, their father, it remains a legal gray area. Technically, they haven’t broken any laws, but ethically, it raises many questions. So, it ultimately comes down to individual perception and how they choose to handle it.

When Bitcoin was $10k, it was considered overvalued.
When Bitcoin was $30k, it was considered overvalued.
When Bitcoin was $50k, it was considered overvalued.
When Bitcoin was $100k, it was considered overvalued.

So at any point, Bitcoin skeptics will always say it's "overvalued".

But look, your claim that Bitcoin will drop 90% before it reaches $1M is simply delusional. Even though we've experienced more severe market conditions before, Bitcoin's price hasn't plummeted 90%. That's essentially an exaggerated assumption that doesn't take into account the current market reality.

While there's potential for a Bitcoin bear market, it won't be that severe. Let's just be more realistic and avoid spreading FUD.

It's true that someone's laziness to earn money the "right" way leads them to choose the shortcut of gambling, thinking they can double their money and gain long-term profits from their gambling activities. Most such people typically come from underdeveloped areas, where access to financial education and decent job opportunities is very limited. This lack of knowledge leads them to develop a misguided mindset about gambling, believing it can provide a way out of poverty, when in reality, it actually causes them to lose more money and worsen their situation.

Max once again proved that even though he's driving a cart, his experience doesn't lie, securing pole position after narrowly beating Norris. This was Max's best performance yet, having previously finished second at the Dutch GP, and he now secured pole position. He looks very well positioned for victory tomorrow, given the RB21's excellent performance in low-downforce trim.

Ferrari disappointed their fans once again. After a strong practice session, they slumped in qualifying, finishing only fourth and tenth (after Hamilton's penalty). It wasn't a great performance, but there was nothing they could do about it given McLaren's impressive performance.

holder is a holder no matter where they are self custody or third party,
I'm actually not that interested in ETFs or whatever people say. Because I believe Bitcoin is Bitcoin. Even if there are other instruments backed by Bitcoin, they merely represent the price of Bitcoin; they aren't Bitcoin.

If you're a Bitcoin holder, then you're holding Bitcoin in your non-custodial wallet. If you hold a Bitcoin ETF, you're essentially just holding a shares that tracks the price of Bitcoin. So, you're not a Bitcoin holder; you're simply trying to profit from the price of Bitcoin without considering the true essence of Bitcoin itself.

Quote
but do you think this will have cause transactions to drop off over time as more adoption happens on the paper side?

The paper you're talking about is definitely ETFs.

Even if more people adopt ETFs, it won't lead to a decrease in transactions, as many people still conduct transactions using Bitcoin, whether it's purchasing goods or services, cross-border transactions, P2P transactions, or other transactions. Remember, Bitcoin functions as a decentralized transaction system, and many people still treat Bitcoin as such, not just for investment.

I just didn't think Slovakia could beat Germany by two goals. This was quite an embarrassing defeat for them, as it was their first defeat in a World Cup opening match. They actually played very well, but they couldn't deal with Slovakia's quick counterattacks, which left them overwhelmed, creating numerous opportunities for Slovakia to score.

This is a serious situation for Germany, as they don't usually play this badly. We know their quality at World Cups, but now they're bottom of Group A. They need to improve their performance, or they'll be in danger of not qualifying for the first time.

Re: If single bet is that preferable why people still don't become what they wanted?
by
retreat
on 05/09/2025, 08:55:33 UTC
While single bets are more reliable than multi-bets, they still carry risks, as there’s no guarantee that every single bet will result in a win. However, they are lower risk compared to parlays, which require all your bets to be correct to win, making them significantly riskier than single bets. Therefore, the chances of winning with single bets are higher than with parlays, but that doesn’t mean single bets are entirely safe or reliable. Careful calculation is still required before placing a bet, as the risk of losing is still present, though not as significant as with parlays.

When it happened in America, I wasn't surprised that this was the case there, since many corporations there are quite cunning in exploiting regulatory loopholes and market conditions for their own gain. But something clearly needs to be done, because it’s simply unfair to charge people for something they don’t benefit from or even use. Corporations should be held accountable and charged for all the resources they consume, not ordinary people who sometimes work two or three jobs just to pay their bills. Because it's simply unfair since these companies get tax breaks and various other benefits, yet at the same time, society has to bear the negative impacts of their operations.

What make it interesting is Italy, personally I think they won't qualify in this season.

Their chances of qualifying directly this season are quite slim, as they need to win all their remaining matches in Group I, which is quite difficult. Their most likely path to qualification is through the play-offs, but that's only possible if they can finish second or third, but if at least 11 of the 14 Nations League group winners have already qualified as first or second in their qualifying groups, which would open up an additional playoff slot.

So, Italy's path to qualifying for this season's World Cup is quite difficult.

Re: Banks and the prospect of holding Bitcoin as reserves.

In their operations, banks are subject to oversight and regulation from central banks. If central banks established a clear framework regarding Bitcoin, it is highly likely that most banks would be more open to adopting or at least facilitating Bitcoin-related services, whether in the form of custody or ETFs. However, current banking regulations on Bitcoin remain limited, as banks are not yet allowed to directly invest in Bitcoin as part of their reserves. At most, they are only permitted to facilitate Bitcoin-related services, and even then, only in certain countries, while the majority still prohibit banks from engaging with Bitcoin. But if allowed, we might see some banks would likely start small allocations to Bitcoin.
