Re: I cannot digitally sign BTC to get Byteball with Electrum
by

You're correct, my electrum address does begin with a 3. I was wondering if there is a way to move my coins to a normal BTC address within the Electrum wallet. Otherwise how in the world is there a video outlining how signing is indeed possible in that video?

There was in fact one comment in that video with the exact same problem as myself. The answer was that perhaps he had an old version of Electrum. As far as I can tell I have downloaded the correct version.

I, in fact, moved all my BTC to coinbase only to find out that signing is no longer possible there and paid £20 in BTC for the privilege! Ah well, its the way of it in crypto land.

Ill likely end up using Trezer wallet now. I just wondered whether i was too hasty in giving up on Electrum and that there is in fact a method of doing it there.

Thanks for your responses people. Great and active community on here!

I cannot digitally sign BTC to get Byteball with Electrum

I followed this YT video which explains exactly how to do this using Electrum.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zTuzZNzEd0&list=PLXgkFA3qK9ZWVwV84Ojc5IcxkO98_kemP&index=6&t=279s

But when I paste my btc addresses from my electrum wallet I receive from the byteball bot: 'P2PKH addresses are supported'. Is there a way to get around this in this in the Electrum wallet?

(By the way do not try to use coinbase for this function. You will still find videos explaining how to digitally sign your btc with coinbase but they have disabled this function for a long time now.)

Thanks Neurotypical.

It didn't ask for 2fa after I created a new wallet. Though I don't understand why it did before since I'm sure I opted for a standard wallet.

Electrum Withdrawel Google Authenticator Problem
by

I am attempting to withdraw BTC from Electrum. The problem is when I try it asks for my google authenticator code. I do not have this. I have my seed but I mustn't have scanned the QR code after creating the seed.

How do I bring up this QR code to set up google authenticator for this transaction?

It isn't obvious from the interface what to do and information online is sparse.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Btcpop P2P Bitcoin Bank

Does BTCpop work exactly like Bitbond in that BTC is merely used to transfer value globally but it is instantly converted to fiat on the other end (if I'm lending), the interest is paid back in fiat and then transferred immediately back to me in BTC for re-lending?

This essentially makes it a global crowd fund platform that can ignore BTC volatility for the most part.

Re: MNY distribution to COEVAL holders

Well the date hasn't passed so it isn't certain it is a scam yet. It's a risk but there is a tremendous upside if it's legitimate. I'd hate for it to be legitimate but I get no coins because I screwed up and didn't have my COEVAL in the correct exchange.

Damn if it is a scam it's a pretty clever way to pump and dump a coin.

Are there any others who are on board? Are you also keeping your COEVAL in the waves lite wallet?

MNY distribution to COEVAL holders
by

"(*MNY will be distributed based on snapshot of the blockchain made at 23:59 UTC Sept. 9, 2017 but payouts will start 120 min later (due to possibility of blockchain reorganization) and will be made on the Waves Platform, & Cryptopia in random intervals over the course of 7 days.)"
https://www.monkey.capital/docs/MC_Whitepaper.pdf

Does this mean that I will be issued with MNY if I continue to hold my COEVAL on the waves lite client?

Thank you for any response. It is difficult to find information on what exchanges are participating.

Re: Will BitcoinCash be available to buy on Poloniex from the 1st of August?

Personally I ended up transferring everything to Bittrex. I'll do what you suggest and keep an eye out for BCC exchanges.

It doesn't look like I've been credited with BCC yet on my Bittrex account. But my BTC on Bittrex are still closed for deposits and withdrawals. So we'll see.

"The wallet will remain closed until the majority hash power chain is clearly established." Perhaps I'll be credited with BCC after this?

Need to get in on this in the early days.

Will it be available to buy on a regular exchange such as Poloniex from day one?

I'm also worried that even if it is available things will be slow on Poloniex. What are your strategies if this is the case?

Also, if I have Bitcoin on poloniex will I be issued with free BitcoinCash also?

Thank you in advance.

Online portfolio tracker

Obviously it's possible to track with a graph on an exchange the performance of a single coin over time. Is there a site I can use to input the amounts of all of my coins in my exchange portfolio and get a their aggregate values graphed over time?

This has to exist. Thought I'd ask here so I could get a recommendation of the best site. Preferably one that saves my details so I don't have to input every time I need this data and allows me to login to an account.

I'm surprised this doesn't already exist of either Bitrex or Poloniex. They only have a snapshot of the current valuation of all of your coins.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you all.

I knew something like that had to exist so I was surprised it didn't pop up immediately/obviously when I googled it.

Thanks for the tip!

Hi there,

Thanks a lot you've saved me and my support some time. When they finally do get to me I'll have all of the correct information.

Not sure how else I'd have found out that Transaction ID meant txid without you.

I think I'll wait rather than pay £160 for a new screen as I've already bought a new phone.

Thanks again,

Rich0292.

Poloniex 2 factor recovery
by

on 18/05/2017, 22:25:27 UTC
Hi there,

The screen of the phone that I use for 2 factor authentication is broken and I didn't note the 16 digit recovery code.

I've opened a Poloniex support ticket 7 days ago and I've yet to receive a response so I'm wondering if I have provided all of the correct information.

For example they ask for a "Recent deposit transaction ID". I assumed this meant the public Bitcoin addresses I have used to transfer coins in to Poloniex but now I am not sure. Is this correct?

I assume that Poloniex support can look in to your account. I hope so because I can provide all sorts of dated balance information, is this kind of evidence admissible?

Thank you for any information,
Rich0292.
