Just because you're from the U.S. doesn't mean you have an advantage on basic verification. U.S. residents failing basic too.

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if being outside the U.S. is somehow inherently more difficult, I just haven't seen any evidence of a difference.

I think everyone might be in the same shit-filled boat.

Yes it is inherintly far far far more unlikely that you will pass basic if youre outside of US. 1% chance.

Because its based on some US records. And phone registration is only in US.

I am in US and insta failed the "basic".  Never had the option for a phone verify.  Add my to the group in the shit filled boat...

Well, congratulations, you are f***ed. Wait couple of months and maybe you get your coins back.

Actually before i could withdraw from bittrex, i had to verify my email and my phone number....but that's it, at least for basic level.

There is no such luck for anyone outside United States. Your funds are simply stuck.

They modeled themselves after Bittrex. Except they steal from US customers instead of non-US.

Wex is just as bad as BTC-e if not worse. Stay away. Wex have taken it upon themselves to steal close to USD$70,000 worth of currencies from me. This was money for my two children to go to college. Nice going Wex! How's that for positive public relations for you. I hope the criminals responsible at Wex use that money to overdose on drugs and wake up in Hell.

Well said!! But you should have never sent that much money to shady exchange like that. Or ANY centralized exchange. They are all crooks and they all steal.

They don't allow me to withdraw my own funds. Customer support is known to be non-existent and not replying to to tickets in months (if ever).

There is no justification for locking users funds like this. The only reason why an exchange would do something like this is getting ready for exit scam. To me it looks a lot like Cryptsy.

This is truly horrifying. Look at the last post Bittrex has on their Facebook page.

Every 5 minutes someone is posting a new comment begging for Bittrex to review their support ticket and unlock their funds. There are thousands of people affected by this scam.

Every tweet that is made by either Bittrex or its employees gets hundreds of comments of victims pleading for help to unlock their funds.

Re: Do I need to verified my bittrex account ?
by
riils
on 29/11/2017, 11:44:48 UTC
Basic account can not withdraw anything, because you can't get basic verification outside US. My funds are now trapped (possibly forever) on Bittrex.

Basic accounts are allowed to withdraw at max 3 BTC without any verification but just as long as you enable the 2fa. That's what I did and most of the friends I knew who are trading on Bittrex. But I already changed mine recently to verify my Bittrex account even though I don't really need the 100 BTC max withdrawal limit.

This is no longer true. I have 2FA and I can't get basic verification because I am not in United States, don't have US phone number and "my name doesn't match public records". So I can only do enhanced verification which also doesn't work (name mismatch) and then my only option is customer support which basically doesn't reply to tickets. There are 1000s of users waiting for months for a reply with funds frozen. Check comments on their facebook or twitter posts. All flodded with ticket numbers and people begging for Bittrex to answer.

1st off ,
The stupidity is Bitcoin does not yet need to scale to beat visa, it does need to scale to match the current transactions volume and keep fees from skyrocketing.
Of which Bitcoin Cash 8X onchain capacity more than succeeds in doing.  As far as the limits to onchain scaling , internet speeds increase every year, what is unlikely today will be most likely in the future.

Can offchain solutions provide faster transactions, sure Exchanges that perform offchain transactions within their own systems can give unlimited scaling.
Advantages of using an exchange for offchain scaling over LN, includes
Lower Fee structure
No time locking of coins
No banking license require to run an LN hub , (LN does not trade the actual coins but IOUs,  Exchanges move the actual coins to your control immediately.)
Greater Accountability:
( If an exchange offchain transaction is not redeemed, you sue the exchange, if an LN hub offchain IOU is not redeemd , there is no one to sue, you are just Shit out of luck.)

Shitwit design has been nothing but the Banking Industry attempt to control all of crypto and keep all of the dumbasses in financial slavery, of their creating false fractional reserve IOUs out of thin air.

╥Aztek

Bitcoin Cash does not have 8x onchain capacity. Bitcoin Cash does not have Segwit, therefore it is 2.3X less efficient in using block real estate. Bitcoin with 4MB block size would have more capacity than Bitcoin Cash at 8MB capacity.

Dr. Wright does not prove that he is indeed the real Satoshi, BCH will live an alternative coin.

Dr. Wright, lol. Don't call that piece of shit doctor, he doesn't deserve it. Can't you tell that he is a crook just by looking at his face?

I don't judge a book by its cover. Not all people can be beautiful.

It is not about beauty at all. In fact one can find Craig even handsome.

The problem is his facial expression. His smile. It is like;

"I am going to fuck you up and scam you so bad, you will not understand what's happening and maybe even like it!"

Roger Ver has the exact same look. Look of a con artist.

100%. As a scam victim myself, I know what scammer looks like Cheesy

Calvin Ayre Declares Bitcoin Cash “The Only Bitcoin”

Calvinayre has issued a statement clarifying that when using the term ‘bitcoin’, the website will be referring to the bitcoin (BCC) chain. The statement expresses Calvinayre’s belief that “bitcoin cash is the true remaining bitcoin as intended by the original Satoshi white paper. The release states that although “the Segwit chain may have inherited the name “BTC” largely due to history but it is bitcoin cash that much more closely resembles the bitcoin that sparked the entire digital currency boom.”

Has the renaming begun? Lips sealed

It will start with Ver renaming "bitcoin.com" to "segwit1x.com"

BTW what happened to tek and the other trolls on this thread, are you all done dancing about the BCH dropping to almost 0.05 BTC?

I am also here. Waiting for some kind of dead cat bounce in BCH to create new, even better shorting opportunities Wink

...Like an unexpected flip between the value of Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash...

That's a nice dream but unless 90% of exchanges decide to rename BCH to BTC, it will NOT happen. Not in a 1000 years. Lips sealed

Edit: BTC is dumping today and BCH is going back to $300 again.

They should rename it to "Bitmain Cash", because that's what it is - Jihan Wu's private cryptocurrency, of which he himself alone owns probably close to 50%, and is ******* you all in the *** with market manipulation and taking most of mining rewards to himself (look at the hash power distribution!).

It is a scam scheme so gigantic and so shameless, it can only happen in crypto world.

..

Do you recommend full node wallets or normal wallets?

Any wallet where you have full control of your private keys is fie. I don't have a full node wallet because I prefer to use my disk space on my computer for other things.
