You may be able to see large orders on the order books for an exchange, but sometimes they put an order in to make you think they are buying or selling but then they take the order off. In other words they can be bluffing, so its hard to know before its too late. Also, you cant just watch the markets all the time to see when its happening so its hard to time it.
Yes they can be bluffing, this is why I stopped watching an orderbook. It's too unreliable. The information we want is in hidden orders anyway.
If a huge order is not hidden or split into many, then someone probably wants you to see it.
По битку не столь актуально. Другие монеты может быть. Но по объемам Вы должны понимать, что данные будут резко меняться из-за суточной активности, между торговыми сессиями. Например с 23.00 по МСК до 04.00 по МСК все почти замирает (объемы)
Я полагаю это зависит от географического расположения биржи. Ведь не одна Москва торгует.

You don't need those services . They won't help you.
If you want to find a whale. One way is to look at the times and sales. Usually a whale uses an iceberg order that doesn't appear in the order books.
But when price approaches that level it can't surpass it because orders appear out of nowhere.

I think it's very similar to what this service is doing. Since an iceberg order is not in order-book, the only way to detect it is to monitor actual trades.
The iceberg order has some fixed price, say $9443 per BTC. So, during a period of time (maybe 15 min, maybe 15 hrs) a lot more BTC will be bought for $9443 than for $9442.
If this happens, can we say an iceberg order seats there?

Of course they can't be unnoticed for a long time. Remember Jamie Dimon? they were caught buying shit loads of bitcoin after he attack it for several days to bring the price down so that they can buy it cheap.
Later it we find out what they did and they make tons of profits as well. So its really good to see what the whales are getting up to. But for a simple pump-and-dump groups, looks dubious, because they really get out early and exit on time before someone notices what they did there.
Good stuff, so he used his influence to manipulate the price and then bought it.
How was he caught buying bitcoins though? Did someone notice a large transfer and then suggested it was Jamie Dimon?
Да и если есть? А что вам это даст? Ну вот кит вышел и что? Вот например на рынке валют в России есть кит ЦБ РФ и кит Минфин. Вот они заявляли сколько будут покупать валюты на Мосбирже в феврале. Они ее закупили. И что? многие миллионерами стали?))
Есть небольшое отличие, криптобиржа реагирует на всё гораздо более бурно чем мосбиржа. В том числе и на китов.
Я думаю отлов китов это только часть более широкой задачи: понять что вообще движет ценой, с ответом на этот вопрос мы узнаем как правильно оценивать крипту.

I have surfed the site and I do only see numbers/volumes which I would rather prefer on making TA on Tradingview same as you suggested on here.Topic title is somehow misleading yet we cant able to trace up a whale on seeing those numbers.Even traders don't even know how to track up or know that a whale entered a market and we wont even know on when they would get out.If most of us would figure it out then lots of people would be rich.
Still somehow it has to be possible to figure out. Whales can not go undetected. Should be some direct or indirect manifest of their presence.
Those guys trying to group volumes that build around a specific price point. But you are right, there's probably more needed to that, monitoring blockchain for any suspicious transfers for instance.

И вам спасибо за совет насчет топовых кошельков, мне вот этот понравился кстати 3D2oetdNuZUqQHPJmcMDDHYoqkyNVsFk9r говорят холодный кошелёк bitfinex. Интересную особенность отметил, что пик биткоинов в том кошельке наблюдался как раз в конце марта 2017 и затем довольно резкое падение, с конца марта по 21 апреля. Примерно в этот период начался безудержный рост цены.
некоторые альткоины пампятся и дампятся в течение 20-30 минут всего, а то и меньше. биткоин конечно за такое время не растёт и не падает, у него на это уходит как минимум несколько дней, а то и недель и месяцев. так что на битке это ещё может сработать
Вот и я также подумал, пока биткоин начнет реагировать на памп - может удастся его выявить. Проблема в том что этот сайт сейчас мониторит только bitfinex, там большие объемы, но далеко не все. Надеюсь программа будет расширятся и тянуть данные и с других источников, coinbase бы для начала не помешал. А также топовые кошельки.
Подумав немного я надумал что памп и дамп спеулятивными дешевыми монетами врядли удастся достаточно быстро выявить, он слишком быстро происходит.

Скажем мы решили его купить, покупать надо за минимальную цену.
Ждём очередной кровавой бани, все коины рушатся на 30-50%, теперь нужно определить дно, так вот на дне есть шанс что заявится какой нибудь кит и даст рынку понять что паника закончилась.
Как только дождались, тут можно входить в рынок (теоретически).
Эффект от этого кита не будет, поидее, столь скоротечен, как с дешевыми монетами, и мы успеем заметить в программе подскочившие объемы и закупиться.
Это чисто теоретически, надо дождаться следующей бани чтобы проверить.

Nope. It won't work. By the time you realize which cryptocurrencies the whales are pumping or dumping, it's too late. The only way to get a piece of their action is to become a whale insider yourself.
Shitcoins obviously won't work, pump and dump will happen too quickly with them.
What if you monitor established currencies like BTC?
Say we trade BTC, we have to buy low. We can try waiting for another bloodbath, then at the very low, there's a possibility whales would appear and trigger trend reversal, and you may observe it by watching volumes.
Just a theory though. Gonna have to wait to test it.

Personally, to this project, apart from the article saying it's a scam, I'd ask why would you build a e-commerce website on blockchain anyway? What for? How does blockchain benefit to you. Where is your whitepaper anyway? Link on your website doesn't work at all.
To all investors: do your own research before investing anywhere.
Check project team (LinkedIn, gitHub, etc.), Check project's Facebook, Twitter and whether it's mentioned anywhere at all.
