People usually do this due to panic that a certain investment would suddenly become valued at 0 which is a total loss for the said investors. Ultimately, if an investor is scared of such a scenario, they would cut their losses, but smarter investors just average down their assets to prevent further losses and to also make room for possible profit amidst of deep losses.
Most of the people affected by such a sentiment are those who just joined the fad without studying it thoroughly.
No one can tell you the best place to put your money in cryptocurrency market but yes this is the right time to buy in with big numbers as this correction and dip will only end up in a inevitable pump of the market. Few good projects i can point out are cardano , 0x , Stellar , EOS and populous. but always do your due diligence.
decided for Cardano in the end! also the fact that it is 90%! down from all time high makes it attractive these days!

Re: What is the best / hottest cryptocurrency to buy during the dip?
Right now seems to be a big dip. Not sure how much further it will go down, but right now most coins have attractive prices. What are the best / hottest ones to coin in your opinion and why?
As you can see bitcoin dominance is rising, so I would just buy bitcoin. Don't forget that the lightning network is coming
When will the ligthning network come? and when will the impact start on the BTC price? I am holding some BTC but compared to the ALTs I hold it is not significant

Re: Measure of correlation between cryptocurrency and overall market
I know that various sites perform measurements of cryptocurrency correlation with BTC. Is there a site that provides an analysis of the correlation of a cryptocurrency with the entire crypto market?
You mean individual coin market cap vs total market cap?
Exactly that is what I mean! I have only found correlation measurements between two coins! But no sites that would measure correlation with an index. For example here is a list of indexes I compiled: https[Suspicious link removed]s_tracking_cryptocurrencies - now I would like to know how much one coin correlates with one of this indexes. You are for sure right, that correlation is positive but it would be interesting to see how strong is the correlation for each individual coin I have invested (e.g. NEO, ETH, Nano, etc) with the index and not only with BTC

the thing is just some projects corrected more than others. Will they rebounce stronger than others afterwards? of course nobody knows - but we can share our thoughts. For example now NEO is more down than during the last dip; so NEO right now is more interesting than it was before when BTC dropped in February. Any other coins that you would consider super cheap right now with lots of potential?

List of Index Funds in Crypto Space

I am currently trying to figure out what are the available index funds in the cryptomarket space. Is this list complete https://en.bitcoinwiki.org/wiki/Index_Fund ? The idea is to invest in an index fund, since you dont know which coins will perform better, but believe that the crypto market will gain overall. So an index fund is the best way to invest then. Any thoughts are welcome!
