Re: who owns satoshidice

Who's the owner of SatoshiDice after the original owners sold it?

I did read about the trade at that time and that it was sold for a ridiculous sum of BTC at that time, the articles didn't mention a buyer name so I guess it was an anonymous purchase which is not that awkward with BTC at that time.

The fun thing is that the initial buy price this site is so big "compared with other dice sites starting and evolving overtime like Primedice and Justdice" yet the administration is very lax with plenty of support issues specially before and frequent off-line time.

Sell  member account with potential senior member

Activity: 100+
Potential activity: 400+

No bans, no open loans and no negative trust

Price: 0.067.

Red alert! Selling and then scamming. Nobody wants to buy you account with red caution. Be careful with you money.

OP's trust is due to him being involved in account buying and selling not due to specific scam, of course if someone is buying this escrow is a must. I'm more concerned with the price though.

Which account are you selling the hero account which link you have given in bctalkaccountprice or the account which details you have given, you are fully confusing. as you are selling the hero account but the account post details and all you gave are of Sr.Member rank.

First clear which account you are selling then the user can give you the price if they want to buy it.

OP said it's the Full member in the second post.

Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen?
by
rottenfruits
on 29/10/2016, 17:31:53 UTC
it could happen IMO, it wouldn't be anytime soon and most likely it would be a gradual process taking place over a period of time.. Bitcoin is a more practical way to conduct transactions than traditional money and therefore it would just make sense for it to take it's place.

Bitcoin is REALLY strong IMO, it has already maintained it's place for multiple years, of which there were plenty of issues, complaints, problems etc... I think it's extremely persistent and a long term working project..

Re: Where do exchanges get their Bitcoin?
by
rottenfruits
on 29/10/2016, 17:25:37 UTC
A majority of them get their BTC's from users selling to them, They offer it in 2 ways "i.e buying and selling", I guess it's the same BTC but they just add there commission to the price, I don't think there is a specific way to get their BTC's other than from the users selling.

Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned?

Things like that don't happen worldwide in sudden, There are laws and regulations in most of the advanced world and I guess BTC is still far from forming a threat that such movement come in place... I guess the community will still use it even if it is banned.

Re: Is bitcoin being used for illegal activities
by

Of course, Bitcoin is a currency, Therefore it's being used for illegal activity and that's a given, even USD is being used for illegal activity as well as any currency in the world... The fault is on the one using it for illegal activity not the currency.

These do happen every once in a while, when there are spending attacks or sometimes just like that when there is plenty of txs and the block mining is slow, there is no thing much you can do other than using high fees and waiting for blocks I guess.

Re: For how many people you introduced the Bitcoin?
by

on 29/10/2016, 17:09:48 UTC
I didn't introduce it to many people since I'm not that social and I don't like forcing people into something, Told around 6 people around about it and only 2 showed some interest, One of them is a solid bitcoiner right now, So I guess the number is one.

I sure think it can markedly change the world and how it works. it's something that the youths had understood mostly and the elderly as well can take an advantage from it, A great investment and the new money IMO.

by

I don't agree or like the bitcoin bank idea, sure getting a good interest in BTC is good and getting loans for those asking for them is good but having a bank takes away the anonymity and decentralization is just too much against the idea of BTC.

Re: Bitcoin without Altcoin ?
by
rottenfruits
on 29/10/2016, 15:54:00 UTC
I guess it's easy to predict IMO, bitcoin is the one that would easily survive even without altcoins, it has all the attention and publicity and new user adoption, Altcoin trading is an interesting thing for BTC users but I guess the majority will still use BTC without altcoins, I doubt it would be the other way around though since altcoins are completely dependent on BTC.

Technically I think they might be able to stop people from running nodes etc... but there isn't a way to stop you from using tor for example and using blockchain and therefore using BTC, generally banning bitcoins would be difficult in a country with decent law since this isn't like piracy...

Re: Miners and fees
by
rottenfruits
on 29/10/2016, 15:16:20 UTC
Thanks for the knowledge, I don't knew that miners can control the min fee to "mine" and others few things...

About the wallet, for example online wallets like blockchain.info, they can control the fee amount to 'help' miners?
it's not a fixed or default fee, You can reduce/increase it but they recommend a certain amount to get a confirmation, I guess it's free to use any fees you want and it would depend on how busy the network is, Most miners are composed of thousands of users therefore miners would need to pay those to set a fee and even then people won't be forced to use it.
