I just had two JPY withdrawals, to a Japan account processed.
The requests were made on 3rd and 8th of Feb.
This was about the same lag, i experienced for two requests in Jan

According to the 25 days estimate, I should be able to get my JPY cash on the Feb 15th/16th.
my friend initiated JPY withdrawal on Jan 7 and got it on Jan 28 (Mizuho bank). It used to be couple of days max. I wonder if JPY withdrawals to JNB account are actually faster. Has anyone successfully withdrawn JPYs to JNB recently?
I made a JPY withdrawal through my JapaNet bank account on Jan 28th, today still waiting.
I made two withdrawals on 8th and 9th Jan, JPY to japanese account.
The first completed end last week, the 2nd completed today.
Making another withdrawal today, will update on how long that takes.
An update on my previous post on withdrawal of JPY from MtGox, and some good news.
The withdraw i made on the 8th Jan, is now showing as "processed", and the funds have hit my bank a/c
The other withdrawal, I made, the one on 9th Jan is still showing "confirmed", maybe the status will change tomorrow.

Finally got a reply to the support requests raised regarding my unprocessed withdrawal
"Due to the Japanese holiday, all the withdrawal requests have been piled up and we are currently working to catch up the delays.
We would update you once the withdrawals are processed."
Well, at least they responded with something...
ok so my first withdrawal was processed in yen to my japanese account from the 7th january on the 22nd january. still 2 more outstanding on later dates but at least its paying out still. panic over. 2/3 week delay estimates are correct. goodluck
Good to hear, by that measure, mine should get done Friday or early next week, fingers and toes crossed

Yen is not flowing for me either. I'm similar to Saigo. 1 on 7th, and 1 on 10th. Both sitting on confirmed still.
You haven't mentioned which bank was used to process, neither of you. But judging by your forum handle, you don't know why this is important...
Not that many business days have passed. Also, read the fine print concerning the timing of your request, and when the bank will process a transfer after receiving it.
tl;dr do your homework
In my case it's a withdrawal to a japanese domestic bank, every other transaction I've done with japanese banks is a day or two at the most, usually next day. Sorry I don't understand why you think 2 weeks is acceptable or normal at all ?
Saigo, it is not acceptable. Withdrawals requested by 4pm, are supposed to go to processed the next business day in the gox system. Then, what ever the time frame your own bank takes from that point. In my experience Citibank has always deposited the next business day after gox marks it as processed.
Yeah, I can't see that it is anything other than Gox just sitting on the money, probably due to cash flow issues. I think it is particularly telling that I've had no response from support, yet there was plenty of response recently when chasing up my verification, presumably because they hoped id be depositing funds.

Not just USD that is issue it seems, I'm having an issue with two recent separate Yen withdrawal requests. Both 'confirmed' in Gox account history, but about two weeks passed and not hit my bank ( a japanese domestic bank ).
Two weeks is in line with my recent transaction for JPY. It is not in line with standard Japanese domestic fund transfer protocol though. Definitely that is issue of the bank of MtGox. Don't know what is like for their bank's internal transaction, at Japan Net BANK or Mizuho.
Hope it comes through this week then. Will repost to this thread if/when it does

Luckily the two withdrawals were only a BTC each, bad but not end of the world. All my other BTC since withdrawn to the safety of my offline wallet, until I see those two BTC worth of yen hit my bank account.
There is some notice on the Gox site about japanese domestic transfers delayed due to end of year holiday period, maybe it took a few extra days over that period, but there aren't delays in the general banking system, ( I've made other non Gox transfers ok ), any delay is at Gox end as far as I can see.
