It's hard to say which one is better. I used to think Bitcoin would replace gold when the world has more young people with open minds. I'm not sure but I have read a report stating that young people in China are now using their savings to buy gold. So, gold remains a good asset when people want to invest. And of course, gold has many uses in real life compared to Bitcoin now. But who knows, maybe the future will be different.

Some people around me still call Bitcoin a scam. Lol, I don't want to spend time explaining it to them anymore. Let them live with their opinion like that when the world is changing. I don't see anything called a scam lasting for many more years like that.

I think the merit system is similar to people who create free things on the internet, aiming to provide more valuable content to the community. In the end, people support them (like buying them a coffee), and merit is a good way to counter spam that only aims for quantity (some people just copy from YouTube, Reddit, and spam it hard). It makes people leave forums when they don't see anything of value, just copied things from the internet.

Hey man, I haven't invested in Fantom (FTM) myself, but I've done some research on it. From what I can see, it looks like it could be a solid hold for the long-term. I can't say for certain whether the current price is a bargain or not, but when the bull market takes off again, I have a feeling that FTM could be one of the top performers like other layer 1 projects.
