Re: Is McAfee a particularly good source of information

sincreally I don't think so, he is good for the crypto community but he seems like a bit of a whacko to me and he's definitely overly bullish in the crypto market. Even if you have so much belief in something sometimes the way he expresses himself is only going to appeal to and convince a certain audience. I don't think anyone on wall street would have given him much attention when he made his claim about eating his own little John McAfee and his knowledge

Re: what your opinion of rising etherum prices ?

Its quite a  pleasure to watch your invested coin to see a rise in price. ETH had raised to almost 30% this week which was a delight.
I think the reason behind this is the people investing in ICOs. Almost all the ICOs use ETH as a mode of payment. So people buy ETH and then invest it in them. ETH already is a potential coin and has the ability to cross a million dollars. Though it would take ETH a few years to reach that milestone it has the capability to be at that level. Time will show us how far it goes.

Re: $12000 to invest in long term. Which coin? :D

nocoin is 100% safe and risk free, any coin you invest in there will be at least 1% chance that you will lose almost all your money. It's very unlikely to lose all of your money if you take action in right time and cut your losses, but you don't want to cut losses but make profit right? Best I would suggest is to invest in any one of the popular coins, BTC ETH LTC etc, maybe split evenly in all three are put all money in one depends on you. As soon as the value increase significantly you sell enough coins to get back your initial investment of $12k, then whatever remains of your coins you can hold them for lifetime without worries, also dont forget to invest in third generation cryptos like ada(cardano) and iota(miota)

Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM???

I hold some, so I 'win' if it all takes off, but I do think it's a poorly-managed and executed shambles and all social media posts have been drumming up hype rather than technical explanations. The perma-airdrop is not 'brilliant', I don't think handing stuff out for doing next to nothing (running an app on a smartphone) is going to add value - it will bring users but what value is there if everyone has something. Do you think any Ferrari would be as desirable if it was as common as a Ford Focus?

Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not?
by

i wont say that just because there have been scams and large losses but i say it mostly because when you participate in all the ICOs and give them "free money" it will create more and more scams and best case scenario it will create lazier developers who don't even care about their own project because they don't have anything at stake, they have already gotten their money!

i feel that there no way of stopping it right now, these laws are popping day after day and it shook the crytpo community recently leading to it's red days. i Was happy last week when new investors popping and making most of the alts rose. And now all I see is red arrows pointing down, hope it won't last long and will be normal like just like the past days

If they would have announced the crowdsale before the hack, I might have taken interest in it, however announcing it within weeks of their HACK is not really a good idea. Personally, I would prefer to stay away from an exchange running a crowdsale which recently got hacked. And I believe a lot many potential investors must be having a similar kind of mindset.

Re: Ripple XRP is a complete fraud GET OUT!
by

The future value of XRP will ultimately be driven by its adoption as a cross border value transfer mechanism. Though XRP has important attributes which make it particularly useful for this use case, these attributes do not ensure full integration with our enterprise software solution. Ultimately, XRP can be successful regardless of Ripple’s success. Either way, we continue to do everything we can to make sure XRP eventually becomes the digital asset standard for international value transfer. Even Ripple states this, no chance if banks reject it.

Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin
by
sandy14350
on 11/01/2018, 16:01:40 UTC
This wont happen in anytime in the future! The real bitcoin as speak is always going to have more trust as compare to other coins and ETH specially. This trust will always keep building more and more investors and crypto enthusiast in the favour of bitcoin leading to ultimate investment into bitcoin. So you see here, the weightage for the bitcoin will be always higher as compared to the ETH. Im completely in favour with the ETH as good investment but it always comes after the BTC. Its perfect currency for long term investment but I don't think that anyone will ever put it in the first rank and that too after having blessed with BTC in the crypto world.

Re: IRS taxing cryptocurrency trades starting Jan. 1st.

felling bad for US residents with the silliest law ever. Crypto currencies should not be taxed like this, because they don't really have any definite USD value, and many are not even traded against USD. It is when you actually exchange crypto token to USD, goods or services you know its USD value exactly, and at this moment it should be taxed. How IRS is going to audit day traders?could ever it be possible technically?

better stay away from such coins or stop trying to find them because they can ruin your life savings entirely in a fraction of seconds by pump and dump communities, because low volume coins are the target for these pump and dump groups .. so simply learn the trick to grow slowly than grow overnight

Re: Ripple on Coinbase?
by
sandy14350
on 03/01/2018, 08:53:24 UTC
Coinbase  exchange is nearly similar to other exchanges, so they may some day add Ripple because of its high volume during pump and dumps so they can make more money but there is also the fact that Ripple is centralized and they can close your accounts if they want to. so if Ripple labs finds Coinbase not to their liking they can shut them down and make all their Ripple balances go to zero just like that. and i would defiantely hate to see coin base manupulation like bitcoincash and expect the same way to happen with ripple so please stay away from these rumors

Re: What will happen when BTC reach its max supply?
by
sandy14350

What do you mean saying that ripple will replace bitcoin? If it will replace it on coinmarcetcap - that is only numbers, give me 1m$ and I will make the coin from rank 900-1000 the coin number one on coinmarketcap. If you are talking about ripple replace bitcoin as a currency and all cryptos will be compare to ripple - I'll leave this market, where centralized currency took control ove decentralized one.
Answering your question - nothing special will happend. Except all this mining equipment and all THs will be forced to find new coin with same algo Wink

perfect answer, if ripple replaces bitcoin , then everyone will shift back to centralized economies called banks, but the vision of our great master satoshi was a decentralized economy, read his white paper of bitcoin, i merely dought if atleast 1% of the crypto world ever read the white paper of bitcoin. ripple is a banks currency , they are swallowing bitcoins and other limited alts into their economy and destroying the decentralized economy
