For a long time, I had been looking for a suitable solution for anonymously off-ramping crypto. And I encountered this thread and ordered an EMI package. Onboarding was very smooth, as the OP is always ready to help.

In this area, many merchants are quite helpful until orders are placed, but often not so after the products are delivered. But the OP is pretty different. He cares. That's what I very much appreciate for.

Although there might be cheaper options for similar (similar looking) services, I think I will stick to this. Because I know I can enjoy anonymity with ease of mind.

While I appreciate very frequent updates of the OS, it seems that many questions here and on HiveOS forum are left unanswered.  Embarrassed

Does anybody know a better place to get updates and Q&A's about HiveOS in English language?

Which place is frequently visited by the dev?

I have a problem with OC settings.

If I set fan value to 0, it must mean the fan is set to auto control. But as this 0 is not recorded in the OC setting, if I change a rig's OC setting is something else and then set it back to the previous OC setting, fan value does not change.

For example, say I have two OC settings.
(a) Fan 0 PL 150
(b) Fan 100 PL 100

When I change OC setting from (b) to (a), fan setting does not change to auto, but remains at 100%. So I have to manually change it.

There should be 'auto' setting instead of nil or blank. Or am I missing something?

This applies to other memory settings too, but my main concern is fan control.

Whitch miner are you using?

I am using ethminer for ethash and dstm for equihash.

I can use WiFi on Hive OS with wifi command, which is good. But when I reboot the rig, wifi connection is lost. So I have to do wifi command again manually.

Is there any way to connect with wifi automatically?

I've read the conversation at https://forum.hiveos.farm/discussion/9/wifi-setup and tried suggestions there but no success.

Any advice from experienced users? Thanks.

I always wonder where combicoin is traded. I did not see it on coinmarketcap, is it listed there?
The triaconta has a huge pump from $10 to $20 now. hope to pump more.

CombiCoin is currently traded on EtherDelta.
https://etherdelta.com/#0x11468d142559f6ab61e69b47f30fa6a36c93ee92-ETH

Or you can purchase CombiCoin directly from their website.
https://triaconta.com/sale/

CombiCoin is not listed on CoinMarketCap. They have their minimum trade volume rule before listing any coin. CombiCoin does not seem to meet that requirement.

V3.0.4rc1 will be available in the morning.
Note; the wallet is for MN and staking purposes, it is not advised to send piv from these wallets until advised it is safe to do so.
A reindex of the blockchain will be required.

So it seems we have to wait for a bit longer. Until we are given a clear go-ahead, we should not use any version to make transactions.

And 3.0.3 won't be on the correct chain, I guess?

With some help from the fairies, I was able to recover my account back. Hopefully, I don't lose it again. Grin Grin Grin Grin

[NEW PIVX WALLET 3.0.2 RELEASED]

All the initial reported zPIV issues have been addressed in this release.

It is available on pivx.org as well as on the official github.
Please read the release notes from the github link below.
https://github.com/PIVX-Project/PIVX/releases/tag/v3.0.2

NOTE: Plaease AVOID spending zPIV for at least another day or two until more wallets on the network are updated to 3.0.2.

i still miss lot of coins sent to Accu with version 3.0.2
i did all in "zPIV Transaction Recovery" (Reset, ReScan) section, nothing helped so far Sad

The same for me. A few thousand zPiv are missing even after installing 3.0.2 and did reset and rescan. I downloaded the blockchain from scratch and it did not make any improvement.

But now I found this tweet. https://twitter.com/jakimanboy/status/921253349940326400
"Until the newer $PIVX wallet is released, please avoid making any PIV or zPIV transfers. Both 3.0.0 & 3.0.2 are now old. Hang tight. #pivx"

So all we can do now is to wait again  Undecided

Bix Weir's new video talking about Veritaseum (tc 16:30), it looks like some big announcements are coming soon.

Bix is the sole reason why I sold all my VERI. And it was the great timing to sell.

Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments

The more people will use the wallet and understand the advantages of byteball the better. Hence the merchants are indeed a good idea.

What is missing though is more Marketing and adoption. So that people actually talk about it. This coins is likely ONE OF THE BIGGEST successes in 2017 - yet it is hardly talked about. More us tech guys know about it.

I believe in Tony and that longterm the price will be up again, for sure in coming weeks as we get closer to the full moon.

I was a big believer of this project. But when I used other wallets of Ark, PIVX and Decred, I stopped believing in Byteball wallet's superiority. Yes, the chatbot function is nice. But that cannot be enough to think Byteball should be in top 30 or 50 crypto.

Blackbytes may have some advantage in privacy, but PIVX's zPIV looks better in terms of ease of use, as far as I can tell.

Maybe it's just I don't fully appreciate technical attractiveness of Byteball, but for the time being, I am comfortable with investing in other nice projects. When price uptrend is back, I may come back to buy some bytes , though.
I'm sorry to tell you that the superiority of a cryptocurrency depends on the protocol, not on the wallet.

I am well aware of that, but still the wallet is what people interact with when cryptocurrency is used. And I am saying that Byteball wallet alone cannot be a great selling point when there are other wonderful wallets available.

whales in control of a huge percentage suck balls in the end.  Cry

Reason of this failure was that airdrop allowed exchanges and big BTC holders like ICONOMI or ICO projects to participate. Exchanges were not allowed, but actually they created non-exchange-looking BTC addresses for this purpose.

I guess dumping will go on for quite some time till those big byte holders complete selling.

Perhaps Tony could have laid some freeze mechanism (airdropped bytes (or big part of it) are frozen for at least 1 year). That might have created enough time for technical and business development.

Chasing commercial partners like in 10% payback program at this stage looks a bit late to me.

But other than that, Byteball do not seem to have any big problem. Recently joined programmers may bring some surprise  Roll Eyes
