Tangentiating the innovations of the crypto market, it seems we have a candidate for "new and improved bitcoin" of the year.
Probably in the next few days you will begin to see and read about something called Grin, a new criptomoeda that focuses on privacy and uses a whole new protocol, called MimbleWimble.
For me, these battles between protocols, to see the one who marginally can be better than the others, seem like an immense battle of Yu-Gi-Oh!
Every card that the player draws in the drawing is a little better than the one of the opponent, and this one, in turn, in his move, takes another better one. The cycle seems infinite.
In fact, it's a battle of egos among developers who want to prove to the world that their protocols created from scratch may be better than existing ones.
The best solution would be to contribute to something that is already running, and not start all over again. But no one controls innovation, and it follows a course of its own.
