Can you provide a few more details? Hard to diagnose the issue at the moment without those. What OS? If Windows, using the exe or the zip download? Does your wankcoin.conf include addnode=node1.wankcoin.com and addnode=node2.wankcoin.com? Do you have a firewall blocking connections to port 9336?

BTW, there seems to be something off with the net hashrate again:

The value is a guestimate based on current difficulty. It's possible that if a bunch of hash is added to the pool before the difficulty adjusts higher, the net hashrate could temporarily appear lower than the pool rate.

The net hashrate that shows at the official pool is obviously wrong, since it just counts its own pool hashrate. (Also there is a typo there, it shows GHs instead of THs at the total net hashrate)

Not enough people mining?
On the contrary, more people seem to be mining WKC today due to the escalation in price. Minepit which normally has only 3-4 TH/s of power normally is going crazy at 12.10 TH/s. Not sure why the confirms are so slow, is there some issue with the blockchain? Maybe its bets for the admin / dev to clarify this for us, instead of wild speculation!
Edit: not sure where we can see the total hash rate!

It's just that the influx of mining power has bumped the difficulty level. It should end up lower after the next block is found, given the time since the last block was found.

They probably didn't update to the latest wallet. Their numbers come from just before the changes at block 46550.

what is taking so long on confirmations? 4 hours for 12 of 20 confirmations.
4 hours for 12 of 20 confirmations.Perhaps a few longer periods between blocks here or there. Generally, things are working fine currently.

I apologize for not posting more often. The fiat/wkc exchange is a work in progess. As stated before, it will be late August / early September before we can make that public. A rich list, as previously requested, is also being worked on. A change to the coin halving is also being considered, although we're giving it a bit of time before introducing yet another necessary wallet update.
Wish I could snap my fingers and make these things a reality for everyone right now, but unfortunately I haven't quite mastered that superpower yet.
I appreciate everyone's patience as we work on getting these things out the door for everyone to use.

Scooby suggestion - Cold storage wallets for WKC as well as security upgrades for the wallet (Especially all the earlier miners and purchasers who have decent amounts on hand) Don't want to read horror stories about peoples WKC getting stolen and dumped for peanuts which would affect the value/market etc.
Online wallets are something we're considering, of which cold storage would be a part. People's own wallets on their systems are something each individual will need to look after, though. We have no control over how those are managed. The wallets can already be encrypted and backed up as much as their owner would like. They would also have the ability to prevent physical access to the machine with the wallet by any untrusted person.

Halving isn't something that was much on the radar previously, but I can definitely look into changing that if it will benefit the coin.

Just to update those that are interested in it, we're aiming to have fiat / WKC exchange processing in place by end of Aug. / early Sept. All the legal and contractual stuff takes a bit of time.

I tried to pay with WKC at www onewebcam com but it was never credited, I lost around 500 WKC. I followed the procedure on the site and made the deposit but it just never got credited and no support so be careful
Can you private message me address you sent them to, the transaction ID for this payment, and/or their order ID if you have it? I can get it looked into.
