Re: Your first bitcoins came from.. (faucets aside)

My first coins came from coinchat.org. At that time coinchat was the best way to get coins.
After that for me bitcoinget.com worked well and good.

Re: Read my short story (just few lines) and donate Bitcoins :D

I don't want to sign up and I can't donate BTC. Why not do some faucetting instead of asking for donations. If you think you are good at writing do some content writing for BTC of Dollars. Their are a lot of opportunities.

In fact you don't need to go anywhere else use your writing skill here one this forum and get paid in BTC.

From where you are buying AGCs. If the website has reliable escrow system, you should use that. escrow can check the balance of amazon gift card without redeeming it. It is done by contacting costumer service. You pay your BTC to escrow he verifies the card and transactions are completed.

Other wise don't buy AGCs from any seller you can't trust.

Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon?
by
shad_90
on 29/07/2015, 13:25:59 UTC
Never going to happen. Governments are run by controlling things. If you want to replace dollar with bitcoin, you need to hand over the control of BTC to government. How a country's economy can be based be on such volatile thing.

If you see it from other angle, BTC can replace if every online business starts accepting BTC for transactions. They will still need to convert it to dollar.

Yeah, and It can be orchestrated by some government.
Why it is necessary to be ONE HACKER. There can be organized attack by a large group of hackers. Then it will be easier to hack if they can somehow coordinate their attack.
Just like a country can be occupied. Wars aren't fought on one front.

Re: What is your dream for bitcoin? What will it become?

Only currency in the world. Everything from local transactions to global business everything will be based on BTC. If any country wanted to have their own currency they will base it one Bitcoin.

And then BTC will be under control of one global organization like UN.  Grin  That will be the ultimate globalization.

Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin?
by
shad_90
on 29/07/2015, 13:04:38 UTC
I bought some altcoins and waited to sell them at high price. Prices went down instead, and i am still holding those altcoins.
Hope can drive a man insane.  Wink

Other mistake was to invest in cex.io. Same there: Prices went down and i wasn't earning much with mining. They had very high payout limits (very high for me), and I can't take out my BTC from there. Smiley

Don't mine. Do some fauceting and that will give you more BTC. Mining is not for beginners. If you have more that 1 BTC to invest then you can think about mining but still I will advise not to do it. CEX.io comes in mind, but they don't give any bonuses.

I once read this article in techcrunch about some Case hardware wallet. That seems pretty cool and secure. I have never used hardware wallets.

Check this article:

They can't separate blockchain from bitcoin. Is it possible that they will start using Bitcoin for money transfers ?  Smiley That will increase transfer rate and will be helpful in stabilizing BTC. Why not promote this idea of 'secure and fast transfers'

Do not be so sure of that. If the banks develop their own version of the Blockchain and they get the governments to enforce it, we would be in trouble. Bitcoin would be banned as a currency and the merchants will

not be allowed to accept it as a currency.

Governments can still ban BTC. Why do they need to wait for banks to develop such system ?

I agree with yobit thing. 3rd point is not for everyone. You need to have good knowledge about which crypto-currency is good for trade. Otherwise you can earn enough with posting only. Jr. Members can earn 0.00014BTC per day with yobit. In the process you will get promoted which will increase your income.

Otherwise, a good guide. It might be a good start in trading for some people.

Re: Vote Now: Should bitcointalk introduce mobile app of this forum ?

I don't care, but honestly I don't think it's worth it at this point in time. Just wait for epochtalk, any extra coding or additions to Bitcointalk right now are kind of useless as they'll most likely be in epochtalk anyway. And in my opinion, the site is fine to use on mobile even without a mobile app Wink

I didn't know about epochtalk. When it will be released. Will it replace this forum or it will be a separate forum, and what will be its scope. Another BTC forum?

That might be true with some sites but have you tried using the forum on mobile? Everything works perfectly fine, no weird shit appears and you can just zoom in when you have problems touching something. There is no need for a mobile app.
This zoom in and out is the problem here. It might be comfortable with tabs but not with mobile phones having relatively smaller displays.
Thing about being mobile friendly is to be able to read and write without any need of zooming.

NOTE: This poll is to show bitcointalk forum what we think about having forum app. I am not a developer, and I do not represent bitcointalk.org. I am a concerned user.  Grin

In my Opinion the Forum will never think of Developing an app for it , Because the forum is mobile friendly.
Anyways thank you for your consideration !
I don't think so.  Its not mobile friendly when you need to zoom in and zoom ou. When you need to slide things to just write a single reply. If you are using tablets then it's acceptabl.

The New Forum Software (Epochtalk) will have a responsive design and the devs also have mobile app in their roadmap.

Slickage does have this planned in the future roadmap. We have very seasoned iOS and Android developers so this should be fun!

This is encouraging. I am unable to understand that a community of BTC (Currency of future ) haven't yet developed anything for mobile users.  Grin

I voted for yes. However, I dont wish to see mobile application for Bitcointalk.org. I want to see a mobile-friendly bitcointalk.org. There's lot of application in Google Play Store that allow us to browser the forums with mobile-friendly interface. However, I wont be trusting them with my account information. Even if it's a official application, I dont want to download another application to my limited space phone.

I edited the question and included the mobile version. Thanks for the feedback. I hope BTCtalk admins will think about it.

I was thinking that there is a need for official mobile app for this forum or atleast mobile version. This will increase activity on this forum as people are not carrying PCs with them everywhere. It will be convenient to have a mobile app for this forum. So feel free to vote and express your opinion and i am sure soon bitcointalk will introduce mobile app for this forum.

Do you have any experience with VPS. I can only think of using some VPS and configuring it to use bots on those websites. This way you will not have to keep your PC ON all the time
