Re: Every war is a war on children
by

I guess this is part of what it means when they say children are paying for the sins of their father, as the enemies are trying to punish themselves. Being an orphan from a very early stage of a child's life is quite a brutal punishment as the child is at the mercy of people who will maltreat them simply because they've got no one to protect them. There's no one that can protect a child the way his or her parents would. So the war is on them.

I know that celebrating my birthday here in Bitcointalk forum is off-topic to start with. So, to make this thread belong in Beginners & Help. I decided to give or reward smerit (I won't tell the total of smerits I currently have) to Newbies up to Member rank. This thread is kinda a remembrance of some sort that I reach Hero Member rank and It's almost 1 year since I became a Hero Member (I celebrate ranking up to Hero Member on November 14, 2021 and I am also celebrating my birthday). Since there is an occasion, I would like to reward merit to those who deserves it. To receive or earn a merit from me is very simple and easy, all you have to do is follow the rules and format when you submit your entry. I will check post history of each participant.

Rules:
    • Accounts that are created after this thread is posted are not eligible to join.
    • Entry submitted that didn't use the format I provided won't earn a single merit.
    • Only Newbies, Jr. Members and Members are eligible to join/participate.
    • Only one entry can be submitted per week. (Depends if I still have smerit left next week)
    • I have the rights to change/add new rules.

Format:

Re: Does the planet really need saving?

"Save the earth", "Save the Ocean", "Save the forests", "The earth is bleeding" etc are very common phrases we come across in this century. What is funny is that humans aren't even looking at saving themselves (like "Save the humans"  Cheesy) except shelling the shit out of ourselves in the name of wars based on egos of our leaders.

From what I see, The earth doesn't give a damn on whether we try to save it or not. We found the Earth here, and we shall probably go extinct at one point and leave it behind, just like the dinosaurs are now a distant history to it. The earth will always heal no matter what.

All this "Save the earth" projects or themes won't make sense if a random asteroid came from nowhere and hit our planet, wiping out everyone. I think our priorities are misplaced. We should be looking at saving each other, avoid pointless wars and survive peacefully.
If it were up to me, I'd say we all need to go back to riding bicycles as we did as kids, we're becoming to lazy and need some exercise
Let's say NO to CO (carbon monoxide) emission
Let's save this planet

Independence but not free
When Nigeria gained independence from British authority in 1960 and was proclaimed a federal republic with Dr. Nnamdi Azikwe serving as its first president, it was a momentous day in Nigerian history. It is truly a day to honor freedom because it is not something that can be attained without cost. Following independence, on January 15, 1966, there was the first military takeover, also known as the founding of the first republic, which was controlled by several leaders who represented the various regions. Very intriguing system of governing. Although we are celebrating our independence, are we truly free? We practice democracy which was supposed to be a  government of the people, where the priority of the government is supposed to be the people but their priority is now their pockets greed has taken over our nation, and corruption has eaten deep into our system that as crumble the economy and governance of our nation indeed we celebrate freedom but still in bondage, but despite the challenges we stand firm and hope for the best, let's pray and hope for the best, Nigeria is our home our land and our nation, we also have a role to play as its citizen so let’s perform our duties correctly and God bless  Nigeria.

Those days are gone, when people look forward to Nigeria's Independence day. Back in the days it was celebrated just like Christmas and Sallah, but today the only thing most citizens are looking forward to is the two days holiday, just to take a little rest from work. If the economy were to be better than this, most of us will have more than just life to be grateful for. But the bad governance would not allow it. A government that ordered the shooting of her own citizens on their own soil just less than 20 days after the Anniversary celebration of their freedom, where is the freedom in that?
Someone is still there pray for the spirit and soul of our fallen heroes, I think we can only do them proud when we pray for and support our present and future heroes. Weve been waiting for the messiah who will not turn a blind eye to the things happening within the nation. I just hope we find him coming 2023.
I still think there's a light at the end of this tunnel, we just need to walk smartly towards it. NIGERIA WILL BE GREAT AGAIN.
HAPPY INDEPENDENCE 9JA
