Why bother creating fake volume on bittrex, where they add 2-3 shitcoins every day and their traders only trade those shitcoins and don't really care about older coins. They are the ones that are trying to take volume away from coins like BC.

You should work on your own BC centic exchange instead, it would probably cost less.

It is end phase don't worry about Bittrex i didn't knowed even - BC exchange is in front end stage.!
To be fair BC is great arbitrage tool better than BTC or LTC in speed.

If we get several exchanges to create BC pairings, Blackcoin can be the "bitcoin" of altcoins. Anyone wanting to trade in alt-world gets btc or bc.  Bc superior in speed for arbitrage though and has paid interest if kept in wallet staking etc.

So we should all push for this AND use the BC centric markets
No one is realistically going to do this unless the coin is getting thousands of BTC volume a day consistently, like LTC.

Wouldn't be surprised if it's just a ploy by bittrex to try and get some more trading fees. The BC owned exchange sounds better.

Good, please don't support another shitty exchange like Bittrex. I would prefer to wait until we have our own BC exchange.

Look morons.  Bittrex got screwed on this and lost just as much as everybody else.  At least Richie has the balls to come on and explain what happened.  This is always a risk in crypto and the exchanges don't have enough staff to check every coin to the nth detail.  This kind of vetting and investigative work should be done by the community.

Do you really think Bittrex lost anything from this? They got their trading fees and are still keeping it open for trading, the only people that actually lost anything are the users who are now NJA bagholders...

Wasn't the code just the UI, not the trade engine?

The injection query was entered in the UI form. A form is a form.

The problem happened because the backend php code just took that malicious query and ran it.

The database code was written unsafely, the door was left wide open,  I'm suprised it didn't get taken sooner.

It should have been coded using PDO prepared statements.

If they used old school straight sql queries then I would think that many other doors and windows were open. I'll bet the sessions weren't safe from fixation etc.

Live and learn.

Yes and in a way it was a relatively cheap lesson, this dev WILL produce a harder system next time.

My condolences to the dev. don't be disuaded, come back harder, what you've learned is worth more than your loss.

And my hat off to you for trying to make all accounts as whole as possible. A true gentleman!

Isn't this at least the second time? If so, please don't open it again, you're only putting more people's coins at risk.

Look, I am missing quite a few coins because of this as well, and I have missed out on quite a bit because of that, BUT, it actually is not fair for you to expect them to act like professionals.  It was VERY clear in their previous thread (the one that was locked before this new one was created) that they are doing this as a hobby.  It is in beta, and they are working to develop a product, but not according to anyone else's timeline.  They are doing it the way they want to, on the timeline they want to.  Once things are operational again, you can take your coins out, and not come back.  However, personally, if they come back up, return everyone's coins, and go back to high uptime, then I will use Coinmarket.  I would much prefer them to take their time making sure everything is perfect, rather than rushing something out that is then hacked and looted.

On the service \ PR side of things, then it is obvious that someone is needed to fill that role.  I am sure they will find someone to do that in the near future, so any future issues can be handled without so much anger.
Are you kidding me? They are dealing with a lot of money here, it can't just be a hobby. They need to treat it and run it like a business and act professionally, none of which they've done so far. If they want to treat it as a hobby, then don't charge any fees.

I can't believe people are still using the BETA tag as a way to make this acceptable. I can understand the technical issues, but come on, you have to properly update your users for whom you're holding money from. The changing of the WHOIS details is also very suspect, sort of like they're trying to hide something.

Compare the complete lack of communication and strange updates mentioning weird (and unnecessary?) patches here to how Poloniex handled their loss. Even though I would never use either again, it is pretty clear to see who deserves more respect and support from the two.

If you send them any coins again in the future, you may as well wave goodbye to it.

Just noticed this on the KARM/BTC page. Is this correct? Looks strange to have the exact same trade values multiple times within a minute.

Has anyone managed to get this working on linux? Getting the following error

root@host:/usr/src/karmacoin/src# make -f makefile.unix
Building LevelDB ...
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/karmacoin/src/leveldb'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `libleveldb.a'.  Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/karmacoin/src/leveldb'
make: *** [leveldb/libleveldb.a] Error 2

EDIT: Figured out a solution, I copied the missing makefile from the bitcoin source and it worked. Hope it helps others

How much 42 is mined at the time?

0.7738077

So the market cap is about 300 000$. Like Ron Paul Coin...

I was calculating a lot more... 17 Mill market cap?

look at my post here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=199685.msg4481233#msg4481233

Market cap only works for coins currently in circulation.

Looks like I have it under control. Sorry about that guys!

Will keep an eye on it; someone tries flooding the server Wink
It's taking quite a while between some blocks, issues with the load at the moment?

EDIT: Just as I post that, it starts showing the below message. Must be a lot of activity for the servers to deal with at the moment.
"Unable to connect to wallet RPC service: Unable to connect:"

Price on OpenEx is way undervalued. Also there is not much of volume. No one is willing to sell for price only 30 BTC.
I agree, it must be the people who have stopped mining. The fact there have been a lot of completed trades is a good thing, just needs to hit a better exchange in time.
