Re: Blockchain.info. How to calculate a fee?

To reasonably use this I need to know a size of a transaction. But I can get it only after I press the button "Send", so after a fee is already set and the transaction is out of my control.
No, you don't need to know the size of the transaction. B.info offers you the ability to specify the fee "rate" in sats/byte... as long as the rate you input is similar to the rates specified by either https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ or https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx then, your transaction should not get stuck, as the total fee will be calculated correctly for your transaction size.

Super! Thank you very much.

This seems super, but it is almost useless without knowledge about a size of a transaction.
Could someone please explain, how to calculate a fee more or less exactly to neither over- nor underpay?

For a less exactly option you can use the service of estimatefee (https://estimatefee.com/).
Depending on the amount of inputs/outputs you will get an estimation of a required fee to get your TX confirmed within X blocks.

To calculate the size more accurately you need to know what kind of address you are spending from (Legacy / Segwit (and whether bech32 or P2WPKH, P2WPKH/P2SH)
and the amount of inputs / outputs your transaction is composed of. Afterwards you can use any service of your choice to look for an appropiate fee (e.g. estimatefee or https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/).

Usually most wallet providers let you to choose the fee in sat/B. Therefore you don't need to know the size of the TX to set an appropiate fee.
Just check the links out.

Thank you very much! But how could I know all of these? Or you mean I should start an investigation for every spending address?

What do you mean by the amount of in/outputs? Are these bitcoins or bytes?

The Blockchain.info doesn't provide such info.

Could you please provide an example?

Just see here https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ . It show sat/byte. So, just check needed fee for you and then type into necessary field. That's all. System will make everything other by itself.

To reasonably use this I need to know a size of a transaction. But I can get it only after I press the button "Send", so after a fee is already set and the transaction is out of my control.

Blockchain.info. How to calculate a fee?

Hi,

Blockchain.info provides a possibility to adjust a fee. This seems super, but it is almost useless without knowledge about a size of a transaction.

I have serious reservations about default values provided by Blockchain.info.

Could someone please explain, how to calculate a fee more or less exactly to neither over- nor underpay?

Dear Mr,

I see you are hard. But I also see that your transactions mostly confirmed. This is good because some people promise to accelerate, but transactions are still not confirmed.

My transaction also stuck.

https://blockchain.info/tx/6ea782d52e5b49f8ab7e4cb74dfb315a5c0ab0382dfff0bccdf122489da25722

Unfortunately, this is my first transaction and I don't have any free bitcoins more.

So I should first buy some. Right? Then send to you. And after that, you'll confirm. Right? Maybe you accept EUR transfer? It will be faster.

Besides if I buy and send you bitcoins this transaction can also stick. (Also, I should pay a fee for this transaction.)

hi i can accelerate for 0.005 btc , only bitcoin  accepted because pool ask it

Then I would ask, how much should I set fee for this transaction so that it won't stick and you receive your fee fast?
Should I wait till you get your fee into the wallet or would it be enough if I put here the transaction ID?

you should include a fee at least of 1000 sat/B and send on this address 1JhAJKYt9q6MJ6qmFDjd6DfdLoQwRLiXCt

and should wait 1 confirm for tx you send
1. 1000 sat/B means 0.00001 btc. Right? BTC I understand better.
2. If 1JhAJKYt9q6MJ6qmFDjd6DfdLoQwRLiXCt your wallet, why you put another wallet ID in your signature? It confuses.

I write new wallet because a guy send me yesterday 0.001 btc with low fee before i answer
It depends how much btc you have on wallet from that you send to my address maybe you have to set fee 0.001 btc to be 1100 SAT/B

Done: 0.005 btc Confirmed. (https://blockchain.info/tx/9b639b1335675bff81a47624bd9ddf32e047484266963ba3c9f4336955390495)

Are all of these accelerators fake?
My transaction still has not been confirmed. Anyone have any luck??

Actually, some of them seem to work. I checked a couple of tx IDs (recommend you too) and discovered that some of them are really confirmed. Mostly the earliest ones. Sometimes it took 6 days. But I don't know whether it happened because of the acceleration or itself.

Re: Which miner can confirm transactions?
by

on 21/12/2017, 22:35:30 UTC
Hi,

I have a problem with my transaction like lots of people. Many of us are asking for acceleration, me as well. But after acceleration some of them me inclusive have still been waiting for confirmation  Embarrassed.
Transactions can be confirmed by miners as far as I know. And as far as I know some of the miners can confirm, but some can only accelerate.

My question is how to become a miner that can confirm a transaction?

E.g. I've installed Windows Bitcoin Miner, but I can't see any transactions, and accelerate and confirm as well. Should I buy some cloud contract or expensive equipment? Or with a right software, it is also possible?

Thank you in advance.

Another question would be, who knows miners who can both accelerate and confirm transactions for a fee?
What's difference between acceleration and confirmation? Accelerate means getting tranaction confirmed quickly and that "confirm" is the same. In this situation these both words are the same. Yes, miners can confirm but you need to be very serious miner. By installing that you can't include because I guess with your pc you just can't mine bitcoin. Those miners have very big hashrate. As far as I know QuickSeller has access on f2pool transaction selector, sk cobtact him here. P.S no one accelerates for free. You can try viabtc for free but there is limit of 100 transaction in one hour and you have to be ultra fast to make your trabsaction included in it's list.

I don't know the difference between acceleration and confirmation because I've never seen this with my eyes as a miner. But what I see my transaction isn't confirmed yet. And one guy in this forum said that he accelerated my transaction. From these two facts, I concluded that confirmation and acceleration aren't the same.
Do you know someone who can 100 % confirm my transaction for a fee? I'll try to contact QuickSeller.

How to become a miner that can confirm transactions? What are minimal requirements?
What do you mean 'I have to be ultra fast'? Do you mean I can influence the process? How?

Every miner can only confirm transactions. Acceleration just means that they will give priority to your transaction in the next block they mine which for big miners is every couple of hours.

I am unfamiliar with "Windows Bitcoin Miner" and most are just malware. You can't just download a miner anymore, you need to buy special hardware in order to do any Bitcoin mining. I would suggest that you reinstall your OS as your computer is probably infected with malware (then again which PC that is running Windows isn't ? ).

As I said, one guy accelerated my transaction, as he said (I can't check it out, what exactly happened with my transaction). But what I see that it is still unconfirmed. So he said he gave prio to my transaction. Why do you say that every miner can only confirm? Direct after that you explain about an acceleration. But it is not the same as confirmation, isn't it?

So if I buy special hardware, can I at least confirm my own transaction, and I mean confirm not simply accelerate? (I read that profitability of the mining is very unpredictable, that's why I written 'at least'). What are minimal requirements for this hardware? Does this hardware contain all needed software as well?

(I have a Norton Antivirus. E.g. MinerGate Software was as malware identified and removed. But on Windows Miner, it didn't react.)
