You can't put that space in the password.

I've tried it with the space removed, still the same results. ( c=BTC,ID=ShaRightS9 )

Log, trying the NA server:

Not me.

Try different regional servers, disable asicboost. If The BTC address is valid the rest looks ok.
"Pool Dead" doesn't say much, any logs?

I have tried the regional servers.
I don't see a way to disable asicboost in the Braiins+ interface. I'm really just assuming it is active.

Log just now, trying the NA server. It gives up really quickly:

Can't connect to Zergpool
S9 w Braiins OS+ - haven't been able to connect to Zergpool. I think I'm missing some bit of syntax in the pool info. I am currently running a gekko setup with CGminer, an Apollo, and a couple of CPU's with XMRig - all on zergpool successfully. S9 is currently on another pool and I've mined on CK solo with it before.
I've tried everything I can think of to move the S9/Braiins+ to zergpool and it always comes up Pool Dead. I think I'm just missing something with the syntax.
Has anyone else experienced this? Interested in assisting my troubleshooting?
currently Pool URL: stratum+tcp://sha256.mine.zergpool.com:3333
username: bc1...(wallet addess)....zw3gs
Password: c=BTC,ID=ShaRightS9

is there maybe a different port used for asicboost?

I still haven't gotten to the bottom of this. Unsure where the problem lies.

Anyone running (or who has run) a Braiins+ S9 on Zergpool have any insights?

It seems like it times out too quickly? Just gives up trying to connect after a couple of seconds.

I think I figured it out, it is the USB controller/connection crashing. Just tested by yanking the cable out & results look the same.

Standard Apollo running on a Windows machine. Doesn't stay hashing through the night.
Need help troubleshooting.

I ran it for a few days nonstop at home without any issues. I brought it to work so I could run it there as a space heater  Wink and so far both nights after I'm gone the software crashes (or something?) and it stops hashing entirely. When I come back in the morning, the software interface isn't running at all.
I have to re-boot the miner and restart apollo-miner.exe to get hashing again.

I can't tell what is causing the miner to stop. My PC is set to not Sleep. Both nights it happened at different times.
The last entries both times so far in the miner events file:

Correct, they are on USB still. I figured it out with the help of someone else.
I ran cmd cgminer -n and saw what it was seeing, they'd moved from 2:3 & 2:5 to 2:22 & 2:27 after I added the second hub

I've got 3xMoonlander2's and 2xNewpacs both mining on a W10 machine. I had them all on the same hub, and called out the Newpac addresses in their .bat files to keep the miners from scanning & finding the moonlanders. Before I did this, cgminer would see the moonlanders and not know what to do with them - throwing up an error.

In the process of moving the moonlanders to a 2nd hub, I think the address of the first hub changed, so now my "--USB 2:4,2:3" is incorrect because the miner doesn't find the newpac at that address. I've tried digging around in device manager to figure out the address again but nothing I've tried works.

I removed the --USB argument from the bat's and have them mining again, with the constant "ML WTF is this" errors scrolling by.
I have them both called out by serial number individually in their respective bat's. That doesn't stop CGminer from scanning and seeing the moonlanders.
It wasn't until I called out the USB ports via the --USB tag that I got it to stop scanning. And it was all working fine until I added the 2nd USB hub.

How can I definitely determine the (new?) address of my newpacs so the cgminer knows where to find them and not bother scanning for other devices?

How do I get cgminer to stop scanning/trying to grab the Moonlanders I have running on the same machine/hub?

Look through the top post and mstroziers installation instructions on page 28.  There are a couple methods to pick specific devices.

GOT IT!! Thank you

Dude is also selling on eBay. I ordered three of them at the beginning of the week and currently waiting for them to ship - tracking shows USPS is still waiting on them, but who knows if that is accurate.
Just recently decided to get "back into crypto" as a hobby/gamble and was researching these units to see if I could really even do anything useful with them. You guys got me worried that I'm wasting my time with this guy - but ultimately I know worst case all I'll lose is time. Will keep y'all posted I guess.
I note he's actively jerking around the price on his listing for these, trying to maximize profit. Jacked them up like +$30 ea after my purchase, but has dialed that back a bit since.

Link left cold

Does anybody know anything about asicpuppy?

I ordered a Moonlander 2 in early December and it hasn't been delivered.

I can't find a contact address or working email.  Someone is maintaining the site because prices have increased since December.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also have the similar situation.

It took me two nights or so, but I managed to read this whole thread from start to finish.
It wouldn't have taken nearly that long to read if all the embarrassingly newb questions and idiotic, ill-informed premises were culled from it.  But, I guess...you get what you pay for.

Thanks to everyone who contributed actual thoughtful and informed insight into the topic of alt-coins here.  I find it fascinating and clearly nobody knows where this all ends up, yet but that is what makes it so darn interesting.

Why on earth someone thinks anyone has "the answer" as to what will definitely happen is beyond me.  There are so many moving parts and it is all so new.  I mean, really...I get that it is confusing and there is a ton of uncertainty, you just want someone to tell you "what is the best one for me to do right now" so you don't have to waste your time actually learning anything before you make a million bucks and move out of the basement....but before you ask the question maybe consider the notion that even IF someone had a magic crystal crypto ball and really really knew....why would they tell YOU?

Sorry.  Just had to rant a little and get that out of my system.  Thank you for taking the time when you should probably be doing something else.

I thought about hiding a miner under my desk @ work, but then I realized the sound of 4 or 5 GPU fans screaming would make it hard for me to talk on the phone and you know...do my job.  Not to mention having to figure out an explanation and justification for essentially stealing electricity from my boss....

I'm pretty new myself, but I'm pretty sure I'm a faster-than-average learner.

Concerning the projected profitability of mining hardware, this little tool/site did an excellent job of helping me visualize the realities> http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/
So yes, the short answer is the way things are going now - if you want any hope of even breaking even within a year you need to start RIGHT NOW with some significant hash juice that you bought for as low a $/GH price you can possibly get (mining nonstop, and getting free electricity).  Unless of course BTC value TRIPLES.
