Re: Bitmain just announced the AntMiner A3 - 815GH/s Siacoin miner - Blake(2b)

Just to give an idea of profitability, before the first batch was released, per day return was around $500, everyone jumped to buy it, hoping to have some profit, but the way Bitmain sold so many units(1st batch), within 2 weeks it went down to $20, even worst they announced second batch with such a low price, thinking that ppl are fool enough to cash on them, end of the day, Bitmain sucked on all the profit and leave the miner, who are the backbone of any crytocurrency functioning to suffer, i have no words. if truly Bitmain was concerned and be part of crypto world they should'nt have released in such huge quantity and made everyone suffer.

yup, there should be a balance in pricing and production in order for everyone to be happy.

If there was a clarity, that only this many units will be sold, then buyers will have choice to calculate the ROI /profit and invest accordingly, not like you keep producing and pushing the miners and even worst reduce its price within 3weeks, clearly shows manufactures mentality.

Charge $2,378.00 for an aging L3+ that nets $7/day and they sell out litening fast. Now the problem is that they are only asking $980 for their latest and most profitable ASIC, so that has everyone 2nd guessing themselves. Baikal is charging $7,000 for their next batch of Giant B and X10 ASICs and will have no troubles selling out, but imagine the ridicule if they would have asked $700 each. People would be like, "Hellz naw, I'm skipping that, psh, for $700 I could get a GTX 1070 these days." Charge $7,000 each and they be like, "I'll take 6."

I think Bitmain's pricing has much to do with the Obelisk and their imminent batches and compound coupon offerings. Bitmain decided to price competitively is all, even tho their 2nd batch will still be the only Sia show in town.

I think it is not the price that is the cause, its the attitude of Bitmain to pump the market with so many miners at low price that not even the first batch buyers can't make their ROI very soon, coming to Baikal, they only release a very limited quantity with higher price, so that there are few ppl running miners and profitability doesn't not go down so soon.

My A3 was running fine for few days, yesterday I switched it off for few hours for some reason, today when I powered it on again, it keeps rebooting after every few minutes of mining, all the three hashboards seems to be in ok state, when I look at the console while it is mining. any idea or anybody had this issue?

Just try reset with A3 hardware button .

Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately, didn't help, still rebooting.

i had the same when first time plugged it - helped restarting router Smiley Check the all cables / lan / PSU. Turn off a3 / restart modem / turn it on

Thanks a lot, that seems to be working, I changed the PSU, lucky, had a spare APW3++.

New batch of A3's being released today?
Yes says Bitmain but "All confirmed orders in this batch will start shipping after 15 March 2018".

So 50 days left to mine before they get fired up?  As long as profit stays over 40 a day we should have ROI by then

I REALLY doubt ROI is over 40 a day by then. Bitmain's own mining activity would have crushed ROI.

Priced at 980 USD

tomorrow they will open orders for March production (2nd Batch possibly)

Would be a tough decision, if order opens too, delivery would be tough as CNY is coming and hardly any work happens during that period in China, any delay in delivery mean impact on ROI.

Re: [ANN][ENT] Eternity - X11 - No Premine

Hey guys,
I was just sending 1015 ENT to an address but they didn't arrive, it's already been almost an hour, wondering if there's something wrong? Cannot find TXID in the blockchain Sad

Any advices?

This is what listtransactions tells me:

  {
    "account": "",
    "address": "EWmfhCfQReLNoKxFDdFCi8evGxrgnp4zko",
    "category": "send",
    "amount": -1015.00000000,
    "vout": 0,
    "fee": -0.00010515,
    "confirmations": 0,
    "bcconfirmations": 0,

    "time": 1508948241,
    "timereceived": 1508948241,
    "bip125-replaceable": "unknown",
    "abandoned": false
  }

OK, lesson learned, I'm gonna answer myself. The transaction did not even reach the blockchain, most probably because couple of minutes after I'd sent it, I stopped the daemon and started the wallet upgrade. Yeah, what a dumbass. I thought that when you send the coins, they're in the chain seconds after that. Not always obviously.
Solution was (luckily) quite easy. Because I still had the original wallet.dat file, I just started new version of Eternity with my original wallet and used the command "abandontransaction". Worked just fine, as the transaction hasn't been transmitted to the blockchain yet.

I am stuck with this, and unable to abondontransaction, as it says "Transaction not eligible for abandonment", below is my transaction details;

Any help is much appreciated, TIA
