VeriCoin (VRC) is a PoS coin with it's own wallet.
Verium (VRM) is a PoW coin with it's own wallet + mining.
If you only wanna mine Verium you don't need the VeriCoin wallet.

I ACCEPT VERICOIN FOR LEGAL ADVICE AND SERVICES. HERE IS WHY:
I have tried several staking wallets and this one is hands down the most consistent. It is also the most transparent and seemingly efficient. I love all of the information that is displayed and the quick transactions. The Dev's knew what they were doing. The market for this coin is steady as well. not to mention the fact that with PoW, you have an ongoing arms race to become the most powerful miner,
leading to an ever increasing energy consumption of the whole network bottlenecked through these pools.
The Lisk Network has no such difficulty adjustments, and is extremely eco-friendly.
Every pool is just 1 server in the network, not a bottleneck.
