I remember it's price was over $2 one day
XRP's price was nearly 3$ for a brief moment, but that was due to mini bubble somebody create around Christmas time using Ripple.
In 2018 Bitcoin expects as many as 50 forks, is a lot. It turns out 4 plugs in a month. If at least some of them will shoot as Bitcoin money, Bitcoin or gold, you can make good money on them. Maybe the forks will push even the ICO because they are much easier to implement

I am a relative newbie but have remained pretty calm during the difficult last week or so. The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL? Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.

my suggestion is. If this is a coin worth holding. You do not have to deal with those fluctuations. I had two wallets (Deep Onion and Hemp Coin) on my PC which was completely damaged in a fire, It was burned to a crisp, so no chance of recovering anything from a Harddisk.
How can I recover the cryptos? Please help.

I'm a newbie and have been into crypto for a couple of months now. I must say the advice from other members about not checking trades too often is very good. One can become obsessed with it, and I think the thrill of the "win" can be quite addictive. Similarly that depressed feeling when the world is "red" can be deflating as well. There must be a "happy" medium, if one is to maintain a balanced life.

I am planning to create a cryptocurrency that mainly used for trading only. A cryptocurrency that will rise in value as time passes by. A cryptocurrency that can be treasure and inherit by future generations especially our children and grandchildren. As we all know some cryptos and ICOs nowadays are scams. And some are good cryptos and ICOs but later turn into scam because they were not able to accomplish what they promise. Some were discourage and some failed along the way. That's why i came up with this idea. Enough of scam cryptos and ICOs. Now help me to decide should I Or should not continue this vision that I have?

I like your opinion. Everyone should think so. But the question is how to choose a high potential profit and low risk coins. I think that community plays a great role and having a maximum supply of coins may assure that the coin will have a value, just because it is limited in numbers.

Yes that will be great. Now many people can engage in mining, we do hope that phones can handle mining though. Since the requirement in mining on computers is too expensive.
This is indeed a great idea. But if you want to achieve it also needs a great mobile phone. Or reduce the efficiency of mining. Let's try to find some really interesting projects mates! No betting, no shopping, no peer-to-peer marketplace doing something, no anycoins. I want to learn about and invest in some really disruptive projects. Projects aimed to change some area fundamentally, not just to launch another service. Real changes on the market only.
