Everything seems to indicate that everything related to the metaverse has been developing very fast recently. Even Zuckerberg mentioned the launch of the Meta project.
It's just the beginning right now, so it's hard to say how far it will go, but in my opinion it could even be as big as Facebook.

Alt coins that surge when market is down are limited in number and they are harder to predict, it's a general idea that once BTC start going up every altcoins will follow at one point but not this coins, there is no reason to keep such coins I'd rather choose from the list of normal altcoins we all know.

2020 Covid-19 dealt with us globally that affected every sector of the economy both in crypto. During the covid-19 period, there where a lack of investors in crypto which makes so many projects not to be able to succeed in carrying out their projects. The price of BNB was a bit cheap and affordable compared to its price now. This shows that BNB is a potential coin that has a wonderful future in crypto.

BNB is a good coin to invest in, but don't invest in only it foreseeing magic to happen so soon. The best way to go in crypto is to diversify your investment with other altcoins

People need to stop thinking only about the profits but to think also about the risk they are taking, even if investing in a new coin could give 100x what are the chances that you can get those results? Anything smaller than 1% and it means you will lose money over the long term, and in my opinion just by making a fast calculation the chances that you actually earn that amount of money are closer to 0.0001%, and that is in the best case scenario, so as we can see it is not worth to look for those coins and instead look for something safer like bitcoin.

I think I will begin by saying last year was more of DeFi while little was heard of NFT, and of course DeFi trend was  okay which saw many projects trying to blend in through bringing in one Defi services or the other, while it worked for others, it didn't work for some. Nevertheless, currently NFT is now being heard of hugely than DeFi which shows the trend has changed, and the growth of many NFT tokens is a proof to that. However, I like the part you said, "Do Your Research", because everyone knows that when a trend like this starts, scammers will always look for ways to leverage on the opportunity presented hence doing your research is always important.
Lastly, the market is not too good but who knows NFT trend can still be massive, since no one can actually predict this space
