Start the client with the "-salvagewallet" option, I got lots of coins back.

The release date has been pushed back to Friday because of complications of pools adding the coin. We are looking for a easy and fair release date with no panic involved. I hope you guys truly understand. The main website will be up by tomorrow with everything you need to know.

I was using the unaltered quarkcoin miner, which the OP clearly states does not work!
So I compiled the Animecoin miner from OP and now I am getting coins in my wallet.
can you release that windows version?
