There is a bootstrap daemon option that allows wallet to use a remote node while blockchain syncing. You can use the GUI as a lightwallet that way. Try it!

Overview
This is the major release of the Sumokoin software v0.8.0.0, code name after Niigata (which is the capital and the most populous city of Niigata Prefecture located in the Chūbu region of Japan. It is the largest city on the west coast of Honshu).

NOTICE: There are 2 consecutive hardforks enclosed in this release:

Hardfork v10: at block# 502257 to allow both MLSAG and CLSAG (expected to happen on Jan 15, 2021)
Hardfork v11: at block# 502617 to prohibit MLSAG, allow CLSAG only (expected to happen 1 day after hardfork v10)
The hardforks should happen automatically with no manual intervention needed (as long as your node is updated with the latest release).

What do you mean, you can't? The pools send the coins automaticly. Best thing is to ask the pool admin. They should be able to check on the issue.
