WOW... now you guys are saying you are not in control of the money...
The whole point of the escrow was to safeguard the money of anyone who invested.
As the minimum target was not raised, the refund will be made minus the transaction fees. None of the amount will go to the devs or the team.
This thread is crazy 😜 is respectonomy going forward with the project? What's going on? I read the last thread and that is crazy if it's true hope not because I actually supported respectonomy

Don't worry if you sent them to the escrow address your money is safe, escrows will give it back to you.
Are you sure the Escrow agreement, there so many ways to get around Escrow now, Ascendancy team did it. I'm still undecided about this project being a scam or not but them not showing their identity gives me a lot to ponder
Going around the escrow will not help us in anyway. We want this network to become a reality. Cheating and scamming is not the way to being successful.

This thread should be locked since this is already obvious for Scamming people.
We have explained this multiple times. We are not here to scam anyone. ICO funds are not under our control. It will be released in parts as and when milestones are achieved.
We will continue with the development of Respectonomy regardless of the amount raised in the ICO. However, the development schedule will slow down (not stop) due to lack of funds.

We have no access to the ICO funds. They are under the control of Dabs and SebastianJu. Respectonomy or its team have will not receive any of the funds until both of them release it. So its pretty safe to say that the bitcoins of those who have invested are safe.

Let's get things clear once and for all.
1. The developers are new to the cryptocurrency world and not coding in general. You can quote all the previous posts on this forum but it won't change the truth.
2. Our advisors are experienced in blockchain development and are guiding us in this project. The whitepaper has been written with their help but due to their wish to stay anonymous, their names have been excluded.
3. Respectonomy is in no way like Ascendancy. To avoid any notions of scamming investors through the ICO, all funds are under the control of Dabs and SebastianJu who are the escrow for Respectonomy ICO.
Respectonomy team has no way of accessing these funds until Dabs and/or Sebastian release them.
4. If the minimum target of 100 BTC is not achieved, Dabs and Sebastian will refund all the funds collected. The funds collected from the ICO will NOT BE released unless the pre decided milestones are achieved. As and when the milestones are achieved, the funds will be released in parts. The full amount can only be obtained once the entire project is completed.
5. A total of 5 million tokens will be pre-mined. 4 million in the ICO and 1 million, previously reserved as developer's fund, for bounties, campaigns and bonuses.
Technology behind Respectonomy:
RES is based on Bitcoin and will have a traditional proof of work blockchain to determine fair distribution of the tokens. Mining of tokens can be done via the browser by running the platform or through a mining software.

The reason for our anonymity is due to the fact that the government of our country has no defined laws for crowdsales and could at any time declare it illegal. Disclosing our real identity puts us at risk. We are not scammers and we are not here to scam the community. We are developers of Respectonomy. We are being advised by experienced blockchain developers who wish to stay anonymous for the above mentioned reasons. Yes, we have asked questions on this forum that may not be of the level of an experienced developer, because we are not. We are amateurs. Considering that an ICO scam just ended (Ascendancy) taking advantage of time-delayed forwarding from a non-escrow address to an escrow address, why not have investors instead send their bitcoins directly to an escrow address? The latter is definitely possible, and I have seen it on some other ICOs.
Escrows are not magic, as nothing prevents just releasing a generic clone coin to technically satisfy an escrow and then disappearing without further development. However, an identical escrow loophole to the Ascendancy scam only raises concerns further.
Respectonomy does have an interesting concept and a far better whitepaper than Ascendancy, but, like Gleb Gamow has pointed out (with some legitimate points beneath the humor and sarcasm), there are some serious red flags.

Your concern has already been addressed by Dabs, the guy who's handling the escrow. All the non-escrow addresses that are available will be under the control of Dabs and no member of the Respectonomy team will have any access to the coins until Dabs and/or SebastianJu release it.
