If this info is accurate then I think it's safe to say that the 1.2th miners won't be available until Feb.

I got an email from Bitmine in regards to AMT's chips. The rude fellow I spoke to on the phone at AMT (definitely wasn't Jim) told me if I want a delivery date then call Bitmine. Jim never answered my many emails - so I contacted Bitmine.

What an astonishing concentration of cheer-leading newbie posters in this thread, many of whom claim to have ordered the 1.2TH product:

alsey7:  1 week old account, very first post is a thinly disguised AMT ad
Clenell:  3 week old, took 2 posts in newbie jail before mentioning wanting to buy AMT
Chazaki: 1 week old account, and already "extremely grateful for AMT" as "they are one of the few companies daring to take on this incredibly unstable market." (really?)
NaranKPatel: 2 week old account, second post mentions AMT
YourPalToots: 1 week old account, second post mentions AMT
pierred: 2 week old account, second post mentions AMT
smelly: 2 week old account, took 10 posts before finding this thread. This guy could be legit Smiley
russellthies: relatively old (6 month) account, but inactive (purchased?) until now. First post straight to AMT thread claiming to have bought 2 1.2 TH rigs
lucianoribeiro: 1 day old account, heads straight to this thread
majalen33: 1 week old account. Immediately heads to AMT thread to cheerlead
mrpark: 2 week old account. First newbie thats not a cheerleader (yet?). Might be genuine.
frank754: 1 week old account. Third post is in AMT thread

Now I dont judge people by post count or age of the account, some of the above may be genuine accounts from real people who just happened to stumble upon AMT. But what are the chances of 14 newbies out of a total of maybe 25 posters stumbling upon AMT thread almost immediately after joining this forum, and ordering expensive rigs from a dubious company?

Whats that smell?
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/63/Wash_fish_market.jpg

And sure enough, so far, the only confirmation of AMT shipping anything at all comes from one of those 2 week old members. Confirmation consists of pictures of 3 off the shelve bitfury boards crammed in a PC case, something any one of us could do. Specs cant be right either and for added lulz the machine is reportedly not even working. I guess thats supposed to make it more credible.

Im not ruling out anything at this point, but forgive me for not yet rushing to send my bitcoins to AMT.

tera... man, when i need to hear from AMT I hear from them. my emails are returned. maybe not as fast as i like but returned nonetheless. i have to agree you are sounding a little on the dramatic side. as far as phone calls being received. i can only imagine how many phone calls are placed into AMT a day. not once have i even thought of trying to call them - fruitless endeavor. can you get a hold of someone at BFL? cointerra? i dunno if you can to be honest. im asking.

Clenell, you're lucky.  You get an answer back!  I haven't had a single email replied.  I'm not being hostile in any of my correspondences either.  I'm not demanding a phone call.  Just some correspondence to be returned in ANY form.  That would be greatly appreciated.  But I've had none whatsoever.  You really think I'm being dramatic???  Aren't these normal expectations?

All I'm asking from AMT is to PLEASE send out an update to all the people who purchased back in Oct.   Our due dates for pick-up are Dec 16th (Monday!)....

In fact if they just sent the paying customers an update, all of us customers would be able to disprove the trolls.  Currently, AMT left me in the dark.  And I don't want them to respond to me here.  I hope they'll answer one of my voicemails or emails I left with them requesting an update.  I hope they'll behave professionally and contact me via the outlets provided on their official website.
 Undecided

The only thing reassuring on this forum is that AMT still exists and they haven't closed shop and left with my money.  Before coming across this forum (just this week!), I was totally freaking out when none of my communications were being returned since Thanksgiving!

I understand... but I can not recall ANY store, selling any item, which "gives updates"... What exactly do you want them to do? Call every customer every day, and say... Only 14 more days... Only 13 more days... Only 12 more days... Only 11 more days...

You, by your, "Unusual pestering for updates", "Through voicemails and emails", are probably one of the reasons they are having difficulty answering any questions, anywhere. Pick-up date is Monday, so show-up monday, and pick it up. If they don't have it, then I am sure someone will "update you". If it ships that date, then expect the shipping information to be updated on your account. What other information could you possibly need, that would change anything, other than, "It's here, come get it!"

Sorry, but I personally believe you are being overly dramatic and demanding. Did you call Amazon every day, asking for updates on your x-box-one order, up until the date when they said that it was going to be available for shipping? (That was just my flavorful dramatic example... If you did actually do that, now I know why mine didn't get here on time. They were too busy trying to explain to you how buying things works. You buy, you wait, you get. At no point in buying, do you hound the business, unless it doesn't arrive... AFTER the date expected. Which has not arrived yet, by my watch... Monday is two days in the FUTURE, from PRESENT.)

Please, stop calling them, unless you want to cancel your order. They seem to be answering others calls. Perhaps you should be calling at a more appropriate time or day. Perhaps your email is showing as SPAM, and being ignored. Does your phone have an anti-automated caller-blocker? (One that does not answer unless it hears a real human voice response? Mine has that, and I don't get some important automated calls. They might use a call-back program, which is waiting to hear a human response also, before connecting the call.)

There is also the PM system here. Since this is the "official thread", and they have "filled us in", with more information... I assume you may get a direct response by the person who is responding, privately. (Since you stated, in public, over and over, that you don't want a public response.)

Are you serious?  I cannot recall ANY store that doesn't answer the phone or a single email.

No, no, I don't want a response every day.  Perhaps you misunderstand my previous posts.  I just want ONE single response.  I didn't think I was asking for much.  Several people have gotten a response so I have a ballpark idea of what's happening.  It would be quite pathetic if a 3rd party forum was their way of getting back to me.  I would hope they would check their emails and vm's and keep those as a priority for people they need to answer back to.  I left them my details so they can easily verify that I'm a legit customer.  I think it's odd that others have gotten a response and I haven't...especially being an early buyer.

...But they do lack customer-service for "small purchases". They are obviously inundated with millions of time-killing questions from people who don't even have actual money to pay for the item. Just as BFL had to deal with. They are not selling customer service, they are selling machines. Either you have the money to buy it, and buy it, or you don't, and are just wasting their time, and ours. (That is only to the trollers.)

By the way, there are few people who are in the forums who purchased BFL's 1.5Ths miners, and few who purchase the other 1.2Ths modules which stack by the dozens into cages. Those are big businesses, the ones selling cloud-mining services and who own the majority of the 7000+Th on the network now. Be glad that they are willing to sell such small quantities to us, at these prices, or they will eventually take that away from us too. Not selling unless we buy 10+ 1.2 THs machines at once.

Nothing is stopping you from buying the old crap at 60-100Ghs for $6000, which is still abundant and people are eager to get rid of....

Do not worry, as soon as my unit arrives, I will be giving a detailed review and hosting plenty of information for those who like to read about history.

I was told today that my 1.2TH machine would ship the first week of January. This is what I was told over a month ago when I ordered so we shall see. I too wish some folks who have received miners would post something here but I must remind myself the world does not revolve around this thread.

That's reassuring to hear that they told you that today.  How did they contact you? email? phone?  At least they took the trouble to contact you!

I wish they would lemme know if the Dec 16th date is a go.  Especially since I paid back in Oct.

Ok... I took the bait and purchased two 1.2GH/s miners for claimed delivery on February.

I am making the assumption that they are legit based on the endorsement of bitmine.ch who I'm also assuming is legit.

I also believe that bitmine and AMT may deliver ahead of hashfast and cointerra based on an earlier tapeout date.

Finally, looking at the AMT product line, it's clear that they have existing products that appear to be based on the Bitfury chipset.

These folks appear to be resellers/assemblers for Bitfury and Bitmine, so it is not like they are conjuring up their designs from thin air.

So at this time, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.  After all, what other options are out there?

The options I looked into at the time I made my purchase (back in Oct):

1)Cointerra was promising delivery by mid January
2)Blackarrow was and still is promising delivery in March
3)AMT was promising delivery mid Dec.

A 4th option was another company called VMC but I felt they were too pricy so I never looked into them.

I went with AMT and prepaid back in Oct strictly because of the time factor.  However, after sending out numerous inquiries via email and leaving numerous voicemails (since around Thanksgiving till now), I was convinced that there was no company and they took my money.  But I JUST came across this forum and after going through this thread it seems like it's a legit company.  I just wish they would return phone calls or simply post updates on their website.  Or maybe a targeted email update.

It's really scary when you drop a bunch of money and after a couple months the vender will not return any correspondences!

By when are you supposed to receive your equipment? -thx

In Oct they told me 12/16/2013.  But I haven't been able to get any info from them in the past couple weeks so I don't know anymore.  Hopefully, I'm worried for nothing, and they'll be avail on the promised date.  I just am worried that no one is breathing a sign of life on their end when I send my correspondences.

I should have enough posts and enough hours but I'm still a newby.

Perhaps it's because I've not posted in the newby forums but in the Dutch ones?

That's strange that you're still a newbie!  You have more activity than I do!
Hmmmm, how many hours you have logged at the top of your screen?

Mine was under 3 hours before I became a Jr. Member.

did you guys figure it out yet is it 5 posts or 4 hrs?

I went from "Brand New" to "Newbie" after 2 posts.  Then I went from "Newbie" to "Jr. Member" at 4 posts.  Don't know about the 4 hour limit as I've been on here much longer than that; although under Total Time logged in: 2 hours & 56 minutes!

Hmmm, so there may be something about the 4 hour limit.

What's so unique about Quark Coin?  I understand that Prime Coin searches for new prime numbers; namecoin can be used for .bit domains.  What's the unique feature about Quark Coin?

Is it a script or a SHA-256?
Does it do transactions faster than btc? faster than lite coin?

I just don't know enough about QRK Coin.

Should have signed up a long time ago. Been lurking for awhile, never bothered to sign up. Figured I'd sign up now and get this waiting period out of the way before I "need" to be able to post elsewhere.

How long exactly is the waiting period?  Someone mentioned 5 posts required in order to get the higher status.  I'm not even a newbie yet!  I'm still brand new and I registered my account several days ago! grrr.

Wooohooo!  UPDATE:  I'm officially a newbie : )

I think 2 posts will make you a newbie.  I've officially graduated from being "brand new".  One day....I'll be a "member"   Roll Eyes

wow! At least everyone's position here is "newbie".  I've been "brand new" for a while.  I finally found this newbee forum and realized they have all these restrictions!  I wish they told us this when we first registered.  I thought it was a time limit or a moderater had to give you the ok after a day or two.  Man, I registered 4 days ago!
