Removed.  It turns out it's the right SSH password for all of them, which makes it more valuable to use for myself than trying to convince random crypto dudes to buy it although I don't really blame anyone for not believing it's real.  Anyone stumbling across this that has looked into these things should be able to tell it's real from the partial hashes but I really think this is the wrong crowd in retrospect.

[WTS] [AutoBuy] - Goldshell Box ASIC Root Password (working SSH) - ST-Box/LB-Box

Listing:  https://shoppy.gg/product/g4aoDy4

Some Goldshell Box ASICs have the SSH service open.  With the root password you are able to remote into the miner and basically change anything.  Here's what I've found so far:

**Working** on latest firmware:
Goldshell **STCBox / ST-Box** - firmware 2.1.5 - SSH service open, root password accepted
Goldshell **LB-Box** - firmware 2.1.1 - SSH service open, root password accepted

**Not working** on latest firmware (SSH service not open / connection refused):
Goldshell CK-Box - firmware 2.1.1 - **SSH service *not* open**
Goldshell HS-Box - firmware 2.1.2 - **SSH service *not* open**

**Unknown** (I don't have one):
Any of the bigger Goldshell miners - **not confirmed**
Goldshell KD-Box - not sure if SSH is listening on this device - **not confirmed**

**How I retrieved it** (unredacted version is available in the instantly available file):
-I downloaded the Goldshell firmware from XXX
-I unpacked the initial first stage with XXX which yielded a "XXX" file
-I then ran XXX in Linux to extract all files / images from the XXX image file
-I was able to locate XXX and XXX- in the unpacked files in the /etc directory which yielded the hashes:
XXXXXru9o
XXXXX0W4Y
-I used XXX with XXX using a XXX and XXX and was able to find the new password in my lists
Old: XXXXXu9o:XXXX746
New (Current): XXXXX0W4Y:XXXXX23

As I did this myself I know nobody else has this.  I explain precisely how in the digitally delivered file, although be advised I used my own wordlists / rulesets so you can definitely verify my work but you may not be able to crack future ones if they changed it unless you have some experience with this stuff.

Everything you need for the STC-Box and LB-Box on the listed versions is in the file!

Here's a look:

I'm totally fine with doing an escrow transaction (all the better if there are mods familiar with the Goldshell miners or have a Goldshell Box home miner themselves).  Thanks!

Re: Voskcoin , shitcoin shill, mega scammer

I honestly haven't encountered many communities/places in the cryptocurrency community over the last decade that weren't filled with mega scammers and shills.  Vosk's YouTube channel and Discord server are actually one of those.  I've tested him a few times in there and he's always responded with the right answer and I've seen him turn down taking advantage of dumb fanboys on multiple occasions and he appears to have a conscience.

I don't know what miner/coin video you watched that pissed you off but that's 90% of the time what it is when someone is mad at Vosk.  They watch a video about the hot new miner/coin and are mad they already missed the boat.

OP obviously has zero evidence of any scamming or anything he's saying and is spewing absolutely baseless nonsense.  I've not seen or heard of any such scamming and neither has anyone else.  If someone is actually apparently trying to not be evil then we're going to need to see some evidence on that one and I don't see any.

8 Different Colors Available!

-one CE5 Clearomizer/Atomize
-one Genuine Ego-T 650 mAh battery
-one USB charger

Features:
CE5 Atomizer with wickless design--New wickless design avoids dry burnt flavor (common with old CE4's and other wick based cartomizers)
Capacity: 1.6 mL Battery is rated for a minimum of 300 charge cycles--The battery is genuine and is branded near the bottom of the battery--No cheap knockoffs!
650 mAh battery is extremely portable--fits easily in your pocket and is a great pen to take everywhere and is much more compact than other designs
USB Charger includes safety overcharge protection--The light turns from red to green and automatically stops charging when the battery is full

Operation:
1. The CE5 black mouthpiece unscrews. Gently unscrew it as there are o-rings inside that prevent leaking that can be knocked loose
2. Add liquid up to the top fill line (1.6 mL). Don't put liquid in the small center hole (this is the airflow hole). Do not overfill above the top black line (1.6mL)
3. Press the button on the battery 5 times to unlock it. When you are finished press the battery 5 times again to lock it so that it does not turn on in your pocket. Note: The batteries come about half way charged (ideal amount for storage). It is recommended to charge before use but if you are eager to test it you can--just don't expect it to last long until you give it a full charge!

Mine came today with the power cable and the USB cable.

It's up and hashing with the other ones I have and now I have an extra power cable.  I was out of microUSBs so the inclusion of the cables was a very nice touch and much appreciated!

First of all, the shipping was fast.  Very fast.  Packaging was great.

The units function as advertised.  300KH+sec in LTC only mode..

My gripe is the USB cables.  The listings all clearly say they include the USB cable and I received 2 separate orders both without USB cables.

I scrounged around and got them running with cables that I need for other purposes such as external hard drives and other devices.

My reply from zoomhash was that they were $1 on eBay but these are time sensitive devices I had everything to go except the cables.  He did apologize to me but when I received my second unit and it still didn't have any cable that frustrates me greatly as it wasn't just a one time mistake and he wouldn't make any attempt to make it right.

Zoomhash, I have not left you feedback yet and your service and product was as advertised except the cable.  I sent you another eBay message about my second missing USB cable that you can read at your convenience.  This is a problem that multiple people are having and it should be addressed.

Other than that I am very pleased with the transaction but technically the item I received was not as advertised.

*EDIT:  Zoomhash sent me BTC to make up for the missing USB cables.  Great seller and he did the right thing!*/EDIT

I also received 2 units from zoomhash but he did not send the USB cable like he promised in his listing on eBay and the web site.  This may cost him on his feedback as when I messaged him he said it was a mistake and I'd just have to buy them elsewhere.  EDIT:  Zoomhash apologized for the mistake and reimbursed me in BTC for the USB cables.

I have the 2 units up and running and have everything ready for the one I will receive from this group buy (hopefully soon).

The units I have are hashing great.  They are the gold fin ones.

Just ordered some of these, http://www.ebay.com/itm/300959220193. I will provide an update when they come in to confirm if they fit.

Those look promising.  For the cheap price I'll give one a shot too.

I believe it is the 2.5mm internal diameter. This not as common as the 2.1mm cctv ones. You need to buy what they call as 5.5x2.5mm pigtails.

I found a 12V30A power supply and the US power cable for it to go to the wall.

I've been looking for 5.5x2.5mm pigtails but only seem to be finding a ton of 2.1mm (like you said, much more common).

I'm trying to find a source.  I'm based in the US.

Are those octocables easier to find or something?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Straight-DC-5-5x2-5mm-male-power-plug-cord-connector-cable-for-adapters-2pcs-/131106289737?pt=US_Surveillance_Cables_Adapters_Connectors&hash=item1e868b3849

This looks like one but it ships out of China and will take way too long to get here.

That is it.  Thank you so much demonmaestro.  I didn't notice in the link you sent me that the power supply cord had the ends split.  I thought it was a standard ATX power supply cord.

Hopefully this information helps out everyone trying to figure out how to power their units once they arrive.

For those asking about power.
here is the power supply that is used in the photo's and is a fairly standard industrial power supply 30 Amp will drive 5
in either mode. and be safe. if you are going to stay in scrypt mode exclusively .5 amps per unit can safely run more
than probably be secured without connection issues. (could in theory connect 60 although I always allow 10% on continuous rating)

http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Regulated-Switching-Computer-Project/dp/B00D7CWSCG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1392141141&sr=8-1&keywords=power+supply+12v+30amp

This power supply will allow you to run 15 at full power.  (slightly more actually)

http://www.amazon.com/Meanwell-Switching-Power-Constant-Ledwholesalers/dp/B007K4XZPG/ref=pd_rhf_dp_s_cp_5_YDA1?ie=UTF8&refRID=0EKYF1P7NQRC16GCXEE6

Would be interesting to see the power draw on the new firmware to allow for calcultions on a power supply:) although the 30 amp one would
be a very safe range if staying on scrypt, I don't see it going above 12 watts per unit. at that you could drive 27 without issue.

BTW a fairly standard laptop power supply would drive one of these.

The Guy that works on the equipment that makes Computer Chips.  Wet/Diffusion/Epi/CMP

Thank you very very much sir.  I have been trying to figure out how I'm going to power this unit for days.  I sprung for the 12V30A as I would like to purchase a few additional units down the line.

You said a fairly standard laptop power supply would drive one of these.  Did you mean the Gridseed unit or the power supply itself?

What do I need to drive the power supply?  I don't see a standard plug on the power supply in the pictures I have seen of people mining with these.  I have seen two (sometimes three) wires connected to the AC.  I assume I need something else to take the power from the wall into those AC inputs.  What do I need to power the 12V 30A power supply from the wall?  (I'm in the US if it helps on the type of power brick I need).

Sorry if these questions seem ridiculous.  I've been mining for a while first with USBs on MinePeon and now with cubes connected to the GS800 Corsair power supply.  However, this Gridseed unit has been a jump above my knowledge.  If you could link me to what I need I would appreciate it.  Also if you could PM me an address I'd like to send you a small tip.

Please go checkout the videos posted here: https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=14956

Seems like user hashware already has these and posted a few clips of the devices...assuming this GB is the same as what he ordered and shows in his videos, it looks like it comes with PSU, the devices, and various cables...I think the only thing I didn't see in that video was a powered 10port USB hub.

Thank you very much.

I hope it still comes with the power supply if you ordered 1 unit since it looks like when this guy hooked it up to a 12V PSU it fried his unit!

I have done a lot of searching and haven't been able to get a straight answer on what I need to use my unit when it comes.  I've seen conflicting information about what can power these.

I am planning on running this unit in LTC mode only.  Some people have suggested the USB is enough to power the device in LTC only mode?  Is this true?

If not, what kind of PSU do you need to power it?  Some sort of AC adapter?  Molex?  I have a PSU powering 2 cubes that has more than enough power to run this although I would not like to splice wires if there's any way around it.

So far I have a 10 port powered USB hub (Rosewill), the USB cables and a Windows PC to run the DualMiner software.

What else do I need?  Am I going to have to splice PSU cables or is there a AC adapter for sale somewhere?  If so any links would be appreciated so I can buy what I need now and have the unit running as soon as it arrives.  I have a bunch of DHUB-H7 power adapters that aren't being used as well.

Thank you in advance and if I missed a topic that covers this a link would be appreciated.

Re: How to file a FTC complaint against BFL's illegal business practices
by
the_remote
on 28/10/2013, 21:37:14 UTC
Maybe one of your complaints will finally be the one that breaks the camels proverbial back, and finally gets Federal wheels turning at opening BFL's books and prosecuting them to the furthest extent the law allows.

This is the key part.  One or two people here and there making a complaint isn't going to make a difference.  If hundreds of people make complaints then that will get their attention.  That's why it's important that *everybody* who has been wronged by this company needs to make a complaint.  The FTC has limited resources and are only going to go after a company that they have received a substantial number of complaints about.

If the feds open an investigation of how this company is doing business it's over for them.  The FTC will open a case against them and the likely outcome is that the company would be fined and forced to change their policies.  I don't know how much money BFL has extracted from people, but if the fine was big enough it could actually shut them down.
