China intends to abandon mining cryptocurrency by 2021.How do You think this news will affect the entire industry and what alternative countries can replace this niche? What is the cost of 1 kilowatt of electricity in your country?

I think China has completely banned the involvement of crypto and bitcoin mining.
but if I see what you are linking to, I have to re-read a lot of every news item on china for bitcoin and crypto.
I think China is not a big problem and problem for bitcoin or mining

Re: How will you teach bitcoin if someone does want to know coming from you?

I was ask if I could teach what bitcoin or cryptocurrency is all.about. Since, I am.not.knowledgeable in technical.part then I may have some.difficulty on explaining it. All I know is that bitcoin has volatility in terms of.its market price and this is the only thing I can share with the guy.

I just want get ideas from you guys on where to start teaching the guy. Should I start on joining exchange?, creating Wallet?, how to transfer btc?,

Bitcoin is indeed a complicated technology. Is there any chance that this all could be done easily or simplied? Could you suggest that to me. Post your replies and thank.you in advance.

You can find recommendations from various sources regarding bitcoin and blockchain included in Google search. you can simplify it after a lot of exploring and reading. so I think to know and learn it you must start looking for it instead of just asking

Re: Bitcoin Trader Brutally Tortured
by

on 12/04/2019, 03:39:08 UTC
A crypto trader from the Netherlands had been brutally tortured in front of his 4-year-old daughter, by 3 suspects disguised as police.  The investigator suspected that the criminals stole some private keys, passwords that transferred the victim's fund to the suspect's wallet. How could the criminal know his a trader and identity, location? Could this be an inside job?

More information here:

even I don't think there is a conspiracy that shares the merchant's personal data, except for the person who really knows that he is a crypto trader who has many assets.
and there is no exchange that distributes user data especially to commit violence to take over the asset.
so I think this case is a different case involving people around him

I was surprised by China, because it was always a trending topic for crypto. I think China will gradually change its policies in the crypto industry and bitcoin mining. of course this will be a consideration of China in this industry, because now China really does not have a big influence after banning bitcoin and crypto

Re: Bitcoin Destroyed me at all.

Few months back i purchased arround 15 to 16 btc when bitcoin price was 10000$ to 11000$ each btc but now arround 4000$ each btc .Just waiting for 11000$ for each btc than i should leave btc and i can see bitcoin have no future in this time.

now that growth is happening, I think this has broken the assumption that bitcoin will die. there is nothing we can do for any accidents and this correction is just waiting for everyone to recover.

Re: The situation with IRAN
by
tramadols
on 27/11/2018, 14:47:01 UTC
Iran have suffered with far too much Western meddling over the years, mostly from the US and Britain.  As far as I'm concerned, they're well within their rights to circumvent these ridiculous sanctions.  If Iran ends up using Bitcoin, or some other form of cryptocurrency, to achieve that, it would prove beyond doubt that the traditional banking system is becoming weaker and that there is a viable alternative.  If America want to maintain dominance through the dollar, this could easily backfire on them.  America won't be able to use money as a weapon if people don't solely rely on using that particular type of money.  Sanctions would effectively hurt America more than the nations they try to sanction if the result is that other nations adopt crypto instead.

I don't know much about politics that is related to bitcoin, but what you say is right. Western countries too interfere with the problems of the Middle East country, especially Asia.
I think crypto can be an option that offers freedom in financial terms and bitcoin is very appropriate to be adopted.

I want you give me a simple and clear answer, what is the purpose of the battle between BCHABC and BCHSV? do they fight for popularity and control the market? and when this condition will end ?
this is very sad, bitcoin and other crypto are victims.

yes that's what happened, I think the accident happened a few days ago due to bch and fakeshatosi. and now there are so many FUDs compared to good news or sharing knowledge about crypto and blockchain.

this is not a victim, but it is intentional to drop the price of bitcoin after BCH has no more fans on the market, yes Hard Fork bch doesn't get big success. so this is what we see
bitcoin is bleeding again just based on FUD from fakestosi

hi......... if in case of crypto currency exchange or use of currency  has banned by RBI in india  means what is the further steps to withdraw the crypto currency

At present India has allowed the crypto trade back from peer to peer, yes the government of India has made changes to crypto but can be traded in India.
and currently has no effect on the level of decline or market growth.

I wonder if you HODL because you believe the price will go up? Or are you lost too much already so you don't see any reason to sell because you won't be satisfied with the money you will cash out?
I have this self-conflict for a few months already

This is not as easy as I say, because we all feel a loss this year. I experience a dilemma like you, hold or sell. it kept spinning in my head so it was very painful.
but if I look at the history of bitcoin I have the confidence to hold it back. yes whatever happens I will keep holding it until I get a profit.

Re: Will usage of bitcoin reduce the value of native currencies?
by

on 16/11/2018, 15:22:05 UTC
Will the value of native currency fall down if the usage of bitcoin increases?do people feel that they don't need fiat anymore for the transactions to happen? Is that why people are trying to let down bitcoin ? Many questions are just wandering in my mind at the moment. Can anyone answer atleast few of them?

I don't think so, however, we will need fiat money as a transaction in the real world. except if every country has adopted digital technology such as bitcoin to be legal.
what you say is sure to happen

Re: Bitcoin does not have limited supply
by
tramadols
on 10/11/2018, 14:02:48 UTC
The argument is again and again that the value of Bitcoin will increase because supply is limited to 21 million. But this is quite simply wrong. Every time Bitcoin is forked that is in real terms an expansion of the Bitcoin currency beyond 21 million. To some degree the same is true of alternative crypto currencies which will flood the market. There is already more than 1000 cryptocurrencues ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cryptocurrencies )

yes that's just your assumption, this is the technology with the findings of new findings such as the discovery of hard forks is a gift for us to make a profit

Re: Can we overcome the hard times?
by

Hey guys, what do you think, can we be strong, and overcome this hard times when everything is red? How soon we will finally see bitcoin growing?

we never know when bullrun will run again, the fact now the market is always dominated by a red trend. I think at this time it's more appropriate to buy altcoins that can really be pumped in the next year.

People are calm, but slowly some of us are loosing their cool. With the increasing number of crypto scams, few countries putting a ban on crypto currencies and the stagnant price of BTC at 6-7k mark, it has been a tough and tiring year for Bitcoiners!! I mean last year was fun, with bitcoin hitting 20k. I wonder when BTC will stand up again and bring back the glorious days. Hoping for the best.. Cheers

we all hope the market will find the rhythm again, the bullrun again and bitcoin will be pumped again, but no matter what happens now due to accidents and prolonged corrections.
By the end of this year there were many who predicted the market would be pumped, but I wasn't sure about this. yesterday I saw the market grow but red again.

Re: Bitcoin Price
by
tramadols
on 07/11/2018, 09:53:05 UTC
It is the supply and demand. Bitcoin won't hit even $1 if there's no demand for it before but as time passes, price is increasing and thanks to the people who are adopting it and embracing it as investment, currency or medium of exchange.

That made the demand higher so the price reacts accordingly. There's the market capitalization and divide it on how many supply in the circulation now and that calculates the price of bitcoin.

supplies and demand that make the price of bitcoin soar, it takes time until now bitcoin has entered in a decade. great, no, without physicality but can be a valuable asset. I think you should look for other references so you can understand and understand the history of bitcoin.

Re: Is Bitcoin too difficult to understand?
by

on 05/11/2018, 15:26:14 UTC
So I was watching "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and I came across a video where Jimmy is talking about Bitcoin's Birthday  " Thank you, Bitcoin for turning 10 years today this week which is the exact amount of time it takes for someone to explain it to me what the hell Bitcoin is".
Also, I know it was meant as a joke but don't you think this explains facts in a humorous way!
I feel like the biggest problem with Bitcoin is the "understanding" of it.
What do you think?
If you want to watch the video, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3Hma8DKXS8&t=100s
(0:53----1:07)

yes if you have difficulty understanding it, especially there are many members here who really don't understand technology, especially the blockchain system.
and this almost happens to all new bounty hunters.

Re: Problems with banks you have faced
by
tramadols
on 04/11/2018, 16:22:37 UTC
When people talk about the benefits of bitcoin over Fiat money, one of the biggest advantages is that bitcoin is more secure and the bank has not control over your money. Generally, people talk about the lack of 3rd party.
Give some examples of the problems with banks you have faced that there wouldn't be if cryptocurrencies existed that time.

yes that's true as you say.
however, we are still very dependent on banks for a number of reasons such as payment of water and electricity accounts, especially for savings and loans.
I am a crypto but I also really need a bank, because crypto is not really used as an option in every transaction

Hey guys. Ethereum is looking really bad today. 200$ is lower than on September 2017 ;( Do you think it will recover with crypto market? Or this is the end of ethereum?

Today's ethereum is down again at less than $ 200, this makes a lot of people frustrated. but for me not, I can buy it and wait for it to grow a little and then resell, trading techniques like this can make me make a small profit. but I can do it for daily trading
