I've actually got it going now, and having shares accepted, but the site is still showing my hashrate as 0. Does it take a while to update on the site, or am I just too slow to even register?

Turns out it just took a while. Smiley Now maybe I'll hook up my old USB stick miners, as well...

I have an old Block Erupter Blade that I used to mine BTC with, but shut down 3 or 4 years ago. I'm thinking of starting it up again to mine Digibyte or some other altcoin. At about 11 gh/s, is it even worth trying?

Coinbase is going to be your best option if you're in the US. They're doing things right and they're not going anywhere.

Well, Amazon never did answer my questions as to what the exact problem was, but my app update finally ended up getting approved. Weird, because I see all kinds of bitcoin apps in Amazon's app store.

Assuming that's a serious question, Amazon has an online store so in that way they are similar to Overstock, but that is only one part of their business. Indeed, you could probably say Amazon is more like Microsoft or Google than it is like Overstock.com.

Thanks for that! I have sent it to Amazon along with a link to the word in the Oxford dictionary. I'll let you know what happens.

I have a bitcoin-related app for Android in the Amazon app store (see my signature below). I just tried to submit an update, and they rejected it, saying they need legal proof that I have the right to use the word Bitcoin. Has someone trademarked it or something? I'm in the United States, if that matters.

OK, I'm getting a deprecation message, asking me to update the stratum proxy. I tried a git pull, but it refused, telling me I'd lose local changes. How do I get around that?

The ol' luck thing.
Is is spiritual? Divine? Who controls it? The fact is no one really knows what luck is but it just happens. I may get lucky tonight with my girlfriend.

You just answered your own question - your girlfriend controls it.  Grin

I'm running Minepeon (using BFGMiner) with 8 of the USB BEs. I then pointed my blade at it as well, and it's all working great together. You may want to try something like that.

My problem with the all O's but not hashing:

My problem turned out to be related to a wifi repeater. After unplugging it, the blade picked right up. Thanks to all for the suggestions.

Is this proxy still running? All my miners have stopped.

Indeed, is anyone still there?

I can't think of anything that's just started happening the last 3 nights. But it's down again for the night... The first night I tried a getwork pool and I tried running a stratum proxy on a different machine. It made no difference. Yet my USB sticks have been rock steady for months.

It looks like the proxy is still connected to the pool:

OK, this is weird. After being down overnight for about 11 hours, my blade spontaneously started working normally for about 11 hours, and it has now stopped again.  Huh

I'm having similar problems to others I've seen on this thread, which never seem to have any resolution that I can see. My blade has been working great since November, but then in the last couple weeks the hashrate would occasionally fall for a few hours, and then go back to normal. I thought maybe my ISP was throttling me, but my USB BEs are chugging along normally. I switched pools and it seemed to improve things. But then last night I noticed it had pretty much stopped altogether. I tried different pools, brought up a stratum proxy on my PC (I usually use one on a Raspberry Pi), and even tried a getwork pool. I then power cycling and a hard reset. I left it on overnight, and there was no improvement this morning. I turned it off while I got ready for work, but when I turned it back on it still wasn't hashing. So I left it and went to work. I now see that it finally started working again on its own during the day.

During this whole time, the status has been all Os (no Xs). Oh, and I happened to change ISPs last week (due to unrelated things), so I know it's not a throttling problem - plus, as I said, the USB BEs are still doing just fine.
