Hello everyone, thank you all for your great contributions. I found Bitbay with my best friend a year ago, when it ws a bit over 1c. We both loved it. The difference being, he went out and sold almost everything he had and put it all on Bitbay, while I called him crazy. He called me crazy and said it was the future. Now he's a multi-millionair telling me "I told you so and you said I was crazy" and laughing, and I'm here with my d!ck in my hand 
So anyway, now that I'm in I just want to say this to mr. Zimbeck - the community here and myself really believe in this project. I think you have all the right ideas, I'm all itno this and nothing else. But being in business myself, I cannot stress enough: someone with a mediocre product but great marketing, will always beat someone with a great product and mediocre marketing. I think this is the best venture in the crypto world by far and I'm looking forward to $1/coin, but I really really stress you gotta invest in a really good marketing person. If you even have just ok marketing with your phenominal project, then $1/coin will be just the beginning. Otherwise, it will be the end. You see all these other hype-helium coins with nothing at all out-performing us on nothing but marketing. Imagine what a REAL project can do...

The marketing will come, but now isn't really the time to do so imo. While the functionality is there, the GUI looks pretty dated. Once the new GUI is in play and rolling peg is released, the masses will flock to this coin.
IMO you are way ahead of other coins and have a product. You just need a web release and UI update. Now is the time for marketing which will increase your coin value and in turn drive up your development budget.

No, SHIFT will be used to host decentralized websites.
Example: You made a website, uploaded it to SHIFT's Phantom dApp and it will be hosted on many servers (example:50 servers) and you can point your domain towards your Phantom hosted site thanks to the JENGA solution.
Also, such hosted websites are harder to DDOS and censor by the government (let them try to shutdown 100's of servers )! When will this be possible? Any Roadmap or plans for this exactly?
First they will release their new website (till end of December) on testnet and then we can only wait for the full Phantom release to be implemented on the mainnet, it needs to be stable.

Don't forget to mention as it's not clear to newcomers that the launch of the new Website is a very significant milestone as the website will be hosted on the flagship product (Phantom) that everyone's been waiting for. It will be hosted on the testnet client and first and then pushed out to mainnet shortly after once proved out.
I don't think a new website should result in a price movement, I don't see how the team want to monetise this platform, unless they come out with a good strategy
To the contrary, the new website will be hosted on their flagship product which is what shift is all about. There will be big price movements when the sites out as it proves out the tech..

Was wondering what my chances are however. Have there been any updates to WAVESsince the 15th of October that would make it impossible for them to send me the coins if they are running an older version?

Here goes, feel free to throw rotten vegetables at me etc.
I have 11k MER stored on my Cryptopia wallet.
Noticed a few months back that the wallet was locked and there was a message stating that due to a Waves update trading had been halted until the issue could be fixed.
I never received any email notification from Cryptopia that they were de-listing all waves tokens and the message is still there stating that they are talking with Waves team to resolve.
Every time i logged in the wallet was locked.
I now see they had some withdrawal deadline in October.
Am i totally stuffed? I can still see my wallet in Cryptopia which still shows my balance.
Do i have any options to get my coins back?

I've just heard about SHIFT for the first time, and cannot read the whole thread right now. Is someone willing to make a few sentences summary? Which is the stage of development of this project? Which are the differences versus MaidSafe?
Decentralized IPFS website hosting (Phantom) and DNS capabilities (Jenga) new Shift website is due to be launched before Christmas which will be hosted on their Phantom product. Thus mark the launch of their flagship product to the public.
He said that Jan left the core team which i believe is a correct statement. He is still with Shift but not on the core dev team anymore.
That said i have a different take on the news letter. If they are willing to let Jan go due to lack of focus on shift then the rest of the Devs had the confidence in their own skills to do so. He is still available for assistance if needed.

Is worth to wait for Shift drop or is it time to buy now?
I was thinking the same thing but also haven't decided yet if i should buy or wait.
Looking at the price charts, and this is of course just my opinion and should be taken as such. I feel shift will maintain a bullish trend unless adversely affected by other outside influences. i.e. Large Bitcoin crash.
They have their product running on testnet now. They just need to check for bugs and then release to mainnet. Follow that they are looking at a website redesign and are currently scraping up funds for a big marketing campaign. I believe all this is due by the end of the year, although not guaranteed.
Not many other coins out there that wait till they have a working product until they start their marketing campaign, it's lead to some issues with lack of funds for the devs but nothing that will put too big a spanner in the works.
A strong product with a strong marketing campaign and a website/white paper (which are all being worked on right now) clearly explaining how it all works is sure to do well (IMO!)

For this to happen (which also wasn't clear in the newsletter) 51% of delegates need to approve it.
Delegates from what i can see have the same view, these guys lost their shift cos they didn't secure there wallet properly so tough luck.
I tried to get into the ICO, but finally failed.

Whatever the price is set to at exchange there is always a mass sell off and 99% drop in value i wouldn't worry.
I'm lazy ass shit i took a quick look at shift and bought 500$ of it some time ago now it's worht like 4-5k.

Decentralized Web(like maid safe), + decentralized storage (like siacoin), + decentralized smarts contracts (like ethereum and lisk), all in one, but the first to implement IPFS in a really successful way, there are many other features, i mean, this could be HUGE.
No need for the $10
I remember reading somewhere they are also working on some form of DNS implementation which would obvious reasons be very popular. I could be wrong tho.
Just now i am hearing about this coin and by looking at the charts it looks like it had a huge rally in the past one month and i am not certain about its path but will definitely look into it,since we have more coins it is really difficult to follow everyone.
Look at other coins like Digibyte and RDD, they have rallied 2-3000% in a few days. Shift has had a 2000% increase over approx 3 months so compared to whats going on with the other alt coins out here Shift is a pillar of stability.

SHIFT plans to build a decentralized web. It has a solid development team. has a limited supply of coins and is extremely undervalued with a <50m market cap for what it plans to do. Anyone has any thoughts on SHIFT? I bought a few myself to hold

Buy it now and hold it for 6 months to a year and you wont look back. That said i see it passing the 10usd mark very soon. Trade volume is picking up with awareness and it's also rapidly climbing the coinmarketcap charts.
Buy it now and sell at 10usd if you like and get a quick 200% gain, hold it and your talking thousands of percent as unlike all the random useless coins getting pumped at the moment this one actually has a future with a competent development team and an idea that's only going to increase in desirability as net neutrality etc is taken away from us.
Don't just buy coins just to dump and make money, you are actually investing in a product and this is one that deserves to be a success.
