As I'm sure you are aware, that thread does not provide an accurate or reasonable recent valuation of AM.
At least it is the right place to speculate, estimate or opine on such valuation

Sometimes I feel like this is a forum for toddlers.  Sorry to be disrespectful but this is just silly.

That is simply one of AM's Franchisee's.  Calm down.

"That" being what ? The hash rate ? Or the farm pics ?

Wow. Legit or not, cavirtex sure know how to dupe their early investors.

Havelock why did you not thwart this scuzzy, if not outright scammy, maneouvre ? Is this because you have no teeth or is it because you have no spine ? Or both ?

Interesting though that only this forum was used to sell the tube, you'd think that sales@bitquan would pop up in more places.

As has been mentioned elsewhere, 5.5k views, either self mining is going super great and the need for AM tube kit sales is not that pressing ...  or ....

Also of note, and to further fuel speculation, is  that the TUBE is 'recommended'  to mine at discus fish ?

Quote

8 "can only dig ghash and btcguaid" This issue should be resolved, but the issue is a headache, because this is not a technical issue, but foreign affairs, foreign affairs and often downright much more than technical problems, after all, the major mineral pools feel very fast hardware ............. I personally recommend starting with a fish pond to start. In short, the green box can now run, thanks to the ghash very stable and there is no danger of being temporary walls, digging btcguild only if the green box, then the problem is really serious, because btcguild dig with domestic routes will be very unstable while the site every few days is also a wall.

http://www.iasicminer.com/index.php/action-viewnews-itemid-50

is fish pond .. discus fish pool, or do they mean small pool

1. is discus fish a mainland cn based pool ?
2. sales (and hence advice) are cn internal mostly
3. profit ?

Anyone (FC/bitquan/dogie/CanaryInTheMine ) making a video showing the box-to-boot from parts for the AM Tube ?  As the saying goes:  'a picture is worth one thousand words'; a video could help show the relationship (and quantity) of components and the 'beauty' of the design and so help some buyers estimate the assembly cost/time.

The assembly could include references to the handy tools and extras (thermal paste? non slip pads/tape for the front/back panels, screws, fan grill for the pretty version?,  typical PSU) that could or would be needed but are not for sold by AM as part of the package.

Re: Havelock Investments - Exchange feedback/comments

HaveLock doesn't protect their users like they ought to.
They have to vet the stocks much better than they have.

Starting with LabCoin, SDice... they have continually pulled stocks, leaving the users with nothing but all the funds are in Havelock's hands.

Now Neo/Bee.
I am done with Havelock.

I guess you weren't around for the GLBSE (Not many Were)

But more recently the Bitfunder and BTCT days with exchange collapses and a lot of stocks being pulled.
Basic, Labcoin, Activemining, BitVPS etc among them compared to that this is pretty mild.

That said I sort of miss the days when you could vote in an asset although it did result in a few flops being voted in, that said for the most part the list of stocks havelock uses and what remains now is fairly decent valuations aside.

Of course with Cognitive and Neo recently it isn't that good of a feeling, although with Neo the trade halt wasn't on havelocks side but on neobees request, and Sdice was Everohees buyout and a pass-through of MPEX to begin with so they had no control on the exchange owners decision and the stock in that case.

agreed, sdice was out of havelocks hands.

but not cavirtex which seems to have been forgoten; they set the precedent by removing their shares from trading. Cavirtex's move was a real shitty deal for havelock users but not for cavirtex, which walked away with a nice cash grab.

MP's style is not to everyone's taste. However it is good to see MPEX's dealings with the SEC in the open. I doubt if Havelock Investments or The Panama Fund will be equally as forthright.

There have been a number of good points, requests and queries raised publically by others in this thread ---let alone the SEC--- which should have been dealt with by now.

Let me add to these queries and yet again in contrast to MPEX; which has described diverse and resilient contingencies for operational continuity in a number of scenarios. Havelock Investments is especially fragile and vulnerable in this area (not only talking of httpd/cloudfail). How is this going to be changed ?

For a site of this sort of nature, a well defined policy with regards what is and what is not tolerated is helpful(for both investors and sellers). Can you elaborate on this aspect of the site ?

Yep this sham of a maneouvre sets a bad precedent for the rest of havelock.

What is the point of 'physical' shares in denominated in some local currency other than to create smoke and mirrors ?  With the added bonus of more disincentives e.g. registering and more red-tape as well as new terms and conditions. All in all it is a red herring, because 'and its gone'.

So much for intents, they are a dime a dozen; what about BTC dividends ?

dooglus : I read your graphs and reports almost daily, so yes I am interested in these reports and grateful that you take the time and effort to make them. So definitely not wasting your time.  Many thanks.

Thank you for the update Erik. It would also be useful to have some clarity around your (and other owners / operators) residence, visitor and work status with respect to the USA. Could these be considered within the context of :

* Order date 29/09/2012
 * Order number 7xx
 * Quantity BASIC01 (the $1069.99 72GH/s unit) x1
 * Quantity BASIC02 (the $599.99 36GH/s unit)
 * Quantity BASIC02 --> BASIC01 upgrade
 * Order status currently shown on website n/a
 * Payment type Bitcoin
 * Date refund was requested 10/01/2013

Almost a month since the refund was requested. I didn't get the email requesting the return btc address either; however I did send this unprompted along with the refund request. No sign of a refund for the shipping upgrade either.

Hello, I am amazed, intrigued and amused by bitcoin and its community.

Just as tcp/ip, http(s), smtp/imaps and all things p2p have changed our world. I am hoping to see bitcoin (or something like it) do the same.

Intersango seem to be having problems with their UK bank account (statement says they will be closing it at the end of the month) so perhaps best to wait until they have a solution.

https://support.intersango.com/status

talking of which.

1. Intersango should make this banking issue more prominent on their landing page. Had I not been browsing the forums I would not have come across this.

2. Intersango should post more updates with regards to the issues and progress they have made in this regard.
