Re: PhoenixMiner 5.6d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux)
by

on 02/06/2021, 03:00:36 UTC
The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7a from here:

PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Windows.zip (GitHub)
PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Linux.tar.gz (GitHub)

The new features in this release are:

  • Added lock core clock
  • The problem with the missing GPU temperatures on Nvidia GPUs is fixed
  • Added native kernels for AMD RX6700 GPUs. These are faster than the generic kernels and produce a lot less stale shares
  • Increase the max supported DAG epoch to 550 (should be enough to about Jan 2023)
  • Full support for setting clocks, fan speeds, voltages, and memory timings of AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards
  • The specific hashrate is now shown in the form of kilo hashes per joule (kH/J). Example: if a GPU has hashrate of 30 MH/s with 100W power usage, the specific hashrate is 300 kH/J
  • Added new command-line parameters -ttj and -ttmem, allowing automatic fan speed control based on GPU hotspot (junction), and memory temperatures respectively. Example: -ttmem 83 will keep the GPU memory temperature at or bellow 83C by increasing the fan speed as necessary. These parameters can be combined with -tt, as well as with each other. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added new command-line parameters -tmaxj and -tmaxmem, allowing to decrease the GPU usage when the GPU hotspot (junction), or GPU memory temperatures are above the specified thresholds. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers 21.3.2, and 21.3.1
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers 20.50.x. Use this drivers only if you have Polaris or older GPUs, or the latest RX6x000 GPUs. WARNING: Vega, Radeon VII, and Navi GPUs won't work with these drivers!
  • Turn off the zero fan feature on AMD cards whenever a fixed fan speed is used (e.g. -tt -40), or when an auto fan with min fan speed is used (e.g. -tt 63 -minfan 35). To disable this feature, add -fanstop 1 command-line parameter
  • When -mcdag 1 is specified under Linux, the miner will not wait for the daggen.sh script to finish before starting to generate the DAGs. Instead it will for a fixed 7 seconds. This allows you to do all the following in the daggen.sh: turn off the overclocking of Nvidia GPUs, sleep for 30-60 seconds to allow time for DAG generation, and then re-apply the overclocking of the Nvidia GPUs
  • Other small improvements and fixes

The support for -ttj, -ttmem, -tmaxj, and -tmaxmem for Nvidia 3090 and 3080 GPUs is not yet ready for release. We hope to have it ready for the final 5.6 release.

For more robust integrity check, you can use our GPG public key, which was verifyed with ETH transaction from our main devfee account as explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg56755869#msg56755869.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.7a.

Just a suggestion;

Is it an idea to raise some money to hire a marketing team? And also finalise the website..

Im willing to contribute some money to this fundraising and Im sure many others to..

We can easily raise 50k.. that should be enough to hire a good marketing team for a while!

@ IMI, maybe you can manage these funds and also hire the marketing team?

Hi there,

Just logged into the rise.vision ICO site, and I dont see the rise coins there which I bought during the ico.

can somebody assist what to do?

thanks!

The ICO withdrawal system has been closed for a long time. Most people withdrew their Rise token since last year, but those who still haven't withdrawn can open a support ticket at https://support.rise.vision and we'll take it from there.

Thanks!

I just created the ticket. Do I also need to create an account there to review my ticket and reply? Because I didnt received an confirmation mail of the ticket and I dont know where I can see the ticket now to reply..

I think warm orange instead of the green will look better. is the choice definite, or can adjustments be made?

I haven't voted, but I would've voted for the green. The vote is over. This is what was chosen by the community and I'm happy with the outcome.

At the end of the day it's about building the brand around the logo, not the logo around the brand.

@twistelaar - What's the point with voting, when you want to change the logo just because you don't like the outcome of the voting, which is what majority selected!

Logo looks great, was selected by fair voting, and as asenski said it's also about building a brand.

No worries, I also like the logo! Just thought that orange would be nicer, or dark blue. I never really have seen this colour of green in an company's logo.

Next goal after the litenet voting is to setup the foundation  Smiley

Re: Siacoin Epic Monster Moon

Yeah good points. Stellar was just an example of inorganic price pumps, which isn't uncommon in crypto.

Here's my case for Sia being a winner this year.

1. Market cap of Sia growing with Altcoin market growth.  Siacoin's market cap in March 2016 was $1 million.  On January 1st, 2017, it was $5 million.   Today, it's about $60 million.  That's 12x growth in five months.  Similarly, the altcoin market has also grown explosively. Take Poloniex for example. Literally two weeks ago I saw that it's market cap overall was $250 million.  Today, just two weeks later, it's almost $1 billion.  Think about the amount of time it took from to go from zero to $250 million.  Poloniex has been out for years now.  To think, it's more than tripled in size in just two weeks.  This is good news for Sia.  There are a lot of eyes watching the altcoin space as BTC dominance declines.  Sia is a truly good project and clearly undervalued.  Look at how much crap is out there that is currently more expensive.

2.  The community, technical product, use case, cost, and roadmap.  These are all things in Sia's favor.  Decentralized cloud storage is a compelling use case.  Additionally, Sia claims their product will be 1/10th the cost of Amazon cloud, a nod to bottom line oriented business customers.  Further, Sia is really a backend platform providing the infrastructure that other platforms can build upon and focus their tech on the front end user.  Things like the future Netflix cloud or Dropbox can run on Sia's infrastructure.

It's just a no-brainer to get involved in this one.  A lot of investors are very touchy when their portfolios don't look pretty. Personally, I love it when Sia falls in price because I can buy even more for cheaper.  I think the June meeting comes at a great time in the altcoin market.  The technical achievements Sia will produce this year comes at a time when a lot of eyes are watching.  The confidence will be reflected in the rising value of Siacoin.

Can you or somebody else tell a bit about the JUNE release/news?

What will be released?

thanks!

I'd be happy to contribute a BTC or so to the foundation funds, although I do not believe twistelaar is capable of properly managing the funds (or the community, for that matter).

@EK I think you're obviously the most trusted and capable person who can pull this - are you up for that extra workload?

Based on what do you think I can not properly manage the project in the right direction?

EK said it already 10 times, he just loves to create the platform and doesn't want to manage the business side of the project. He already asked several times if the community want to step forward and take the leadership so we can move forward.

I offer to do this, because nobody else yet offered to take leadership and manage the project in the right direction, if somebody else thinks he can do this in a great way, PLEASE step forward and do it.

Beside that we all have to look how we can contribute to add value to the project.

@twistelaar, What experience do you have in managing a project of this caliber and will you bring other trusted people on board? I was trying to find the thread where you stated something about it, but couldn't find it.

I have previously managed QORA coin. I was the community manager and my tasks where mainly organising and giving instructions, so finding new devs, designers, website builders, setting up marketing campaigns(more then 2k followers on twitter), giving updates to the community, managing social media, making sure everybody did their tasks on time and so on.

In real life I have a mining start up.
I have a pretty big network in crypto around the world. I'm in several private groups and I can always find the right people to push the project forward.

My skills are mainly in organising, structuring, managing, communication and the business side of the project.

I'm happy to contribute with my skills. I offer to do this, because nobody else offers it, I want to see this project to succeed, just like anybody else in the community.

But again, if anybody else has more experience in managing a big project and feels confident of doing this, please step forward.

Your resume sound impeccable, but what happened with the funds over at Qora that a user here is mentioning? I just want to get the facts right.

Thanks! we just had a discussion here that was not adding anything to this thread, so we agreed to delete those posts. Regarding to the funds, I was paid 50% of the amount agreed on initially by the qora dev for my work and the other 50% he didnt paid, because he left the project and disappeared. At the moment I left the project after accomplished many tasks successfully I compensated my self for all the efforts I did for the project(this amount was way less then the other 50% which the dev didnt pay), I did this with approval of the other main leader of the project and we where fully transparent about this to the community. Above user was at that time following the project as well and didn't agree with that decision.

Anyways, we all want this project to succeed and I will help where I can help.
