by the way when u will start to buy ur own company tokens from nominal price of eth (0.00003) as you promised,  I want to sell it back asap to you.

First they will have to have a working blockchain based on a bitshares fork (in 2019), then they will need to transfer the Sharpay tokens to this new blockchain, then they will need customers, till then no customers no buyback.

See the roadmap: https://sharpay.io/nl/#roadmap

Great... Very weak team, and I think that reviews were paid ones. ICO was in March, and now Its September, and only one fkin sht Simex exchange. Unfortunately was a very bad investment.

Of course their reviews were great; one of their paid advisers works for ICObench

They do not even have a regular Telegram channel where people can share complaints, only a one-on-one channel where you can chat with the admin LOL. What a hoax.

the pic this project is unique and funny, i think we will get the good project this years.

Seriously? You cast judgement on a project's worth based on how funny their pic is?

Sharpay reminds me of Dogecoin, it could become a collector's item, a hype. I only do not like the name Sharpay for the token.

These guys are also making a supercomputer on top of the blockchain.

SONM is a decentralized worldwide fog computer for any general purpose computing ? from site hosting to scientific calculations.

Question for the HPP team:

I understand people can rent a virtual host (xen) and cpu-time for parallel processing jobs (opencl) on the HPP platform. What if, in the case of virtual host sharing, there is a power failure or the physical host gets powered down, is there some kind of "high availibility" mechanism in these cases? Will it be possible to implement a Virtual Machine High Availibility Cluster on top of the HPP platform?

David
Hi usr64,
Of course High Availability is a major concern for HPP Platform, and it is ensured by combining three technics :
  • Nodes automatic deployment : if a node get powered down, The Tasks' Scheduler process an automatic deployment to another node using the replicated provider's data
  • Node migration : in case a node receive a normal shut down signal from the User/OS, the node sends to the Task's Scheduler a snapshot of the current state before shutting down, the Tasks' Scheduler migrate the tasks to an available node.
  • Provider’s data replication : HPP platform use replication in order to recover data if a node gets powered down without migration

I noticed from your preview posts that you are very interested in technical details, are you trying to build a concurrent platform  Wink
just kidding  Cheesy you are welcome.
and also if you work on same field (Distributed Systems) you are welcome to join HPP Team.

Best regards

Haha, I am just curious, don't know much about distributive systems or hpc (practically nothing), i am more into Linux, i know a little bit about system programming, but nothing on parallel or gpu programming, i am not as smart as you guys!

Grin 16*16*16 Its too hard for GPU . The current situation is not very good for HPP to move forward,And now the rules of output are more fixed, what do you feel?

Hi Mrzeta,
The choice of Lyra Matrix with 16 Cols, 16 Rows and 16 TimeCost was made with concertation of all Dev Team, we have done a lot of test using multiple parameters combinations, finally we come up with 16*16 and 16 for TimeCost.
The Goal is to have Egalitarian Mining 1:1 CPU:GPU.

A Hard Fork is Planned for the 25 February 2018 (less than 2 months) to activate Masternodes. we will create a voting form soon, and the community will decide to  promote CPU over GPU or GPU over CPU or Egalitarian Mining.

Best Regards
HPP Team

How about you guys implement Multi-Hash Mining?

"Multi-hash mining is our solution for aligning incentives between miners and users of the Zen Protocol. For each block, a miner can choose between one of several hash functions to use, each with its own difficulty. The Protocol has a target ratio between the blocks mined using these functions. If too many blocks are mined using a particular function, then its difficulty increases, reducing the efficiency of mining with that function. Token holders vote to adjust the target ratio, providing feedback on how they want the blockchain to be secured.

This gives miners the strong incentive to do what token holders want, because switching between different hash functions is usually quite expensive for the miner, particularly when using specialized hardware. On the other hand, token holders have no incentive to change the target ratio, provided miners are acting in their interests and the blockchain is being secured."

Hi Usr64,
You are right, the main goal of HPP platform is to build a decentralized High Performances Computing Platform which enable HPP Holders to rent HPC infrastructure (Virtual Hosts, GPUs) and pay rental fees in HPP. we are planning to achieve this Goal progressively, we will introduce new functionalities in each HPP Version, you can review our Road Map https://trello.com/b/w4CnFCdV/hppcoin

Best Regards
HPP Team

So you want to create a decentralised HPC "cloud"...

How does the client connect to and discover the HPC services through the HPP platform?

What are the prerequisites for running a HPC worknode? I read in your post that universities' workstations and laptops may provide those services. Since when are those laptops/workstations capable of providing HPC services? They are unable to form a high network speed/HPC cluster, but on the other hand they can form a HPC grid.

What kind of HPC services will be made available? A combination of HPC grid and HPC cluster services??

I am trying to understand this difficult subject.

David

Looking at the website, it seems you are offering a very similar product as Golem. What is different about your platform that will make it superior to other existing distributed computing platforms such as Golem and BOINC?

First Golem:
Golem is an application specific platform the main use case is CGI rendering and Golem developer are planning to add more specific application domain use cases.

Our platform design is totally different as we target General Purpose High performances Computing. so any entity aiming to do high performances computing can use HPP platform to carry its computations.

Second BOINC :
Boinc is big project for gride computing it is not intended for Virtual Host Sharing
HPP allow users to rent computing power on a time basis and earn HPP as a reward.

Best regards
A. Nejeoui
hppcoin Lead Developer

Dear mr. Nejeoui,

Did i understand it correctly, are you planning to build a decentralized hypervisor on top of the blockchain?
Will we be able to run virtual machines (Windows/Linux guests) on top of HPP?

I wait those GPU miners for a whole day.  Roll Eyes Cry Cry Cry Cry
Do you have a timetable?

We will have a 2 or 3 days Max delay.

To Unsure Egalitarian Mining we cannot release CUDA and postpone OpenCL.

How do i start the windows miner, what options should i pass as arguments? I get stratum_recv_line failed error.

I am trying to do solo mining.
