SDC bug bounty

If you think there are flaws in the code, go find them.

Update: Saturday, Juli 11 2015

Shadow Bug Bounties!

According to Linus’ Law, “given enough eyeballs, all bugs are shallow”. That’s one of the reasons why Shadow’s source code is publicly available; but merely making the source code available doesn’t accomplish anything if people don’t read it!

For this reason, Shadow has introduced a series of bug bounties. Similar to the bounties offered by Mozilla and Google, Shadow bug bounties provide an opportunity for people who find bugs to be compensated. Unlike those programs, however, Shadow’s bounties are not limited to security vulnerabilities.

Depending on the type of bug and when it is reported, different bounties will be awarded. All bounties are paid out in SDC, at the 3-day average of each to a fixed US Dollar value.

Happy hunting!

Like it or not, prospective investors still look to this thread for info and updates.  Cool
Not everyone wants to connect to irc or give up their email address to join slack. just sayin.

I agree with this.  Some of the biggest coins(market cap wise) have some of the largest threads.  First impressions and all...  With just a quick look it would be easy to miss all the work going on over on slack and irc.

Support the Shadow Project in its #FightForPrivacy!

As some of you may know our community has set up a thunderclap campaign to raise more awareness for Shadow Project and the importance of fighting for your own privacy. Over the past 2 weeks we have been asking people to support the campaign by donating social reach using Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr accounts. In less than 2 weeks we managed to get a social reach of 1,300,000 people. This is something we should all be really proud of!

Thunderclap contest! Support and win SDC!

In order to reward all supporters the Shadow Community has kindly decided to hold a competition to support the #FightForPrivacy campaign. We have set up a wallet and added price money (SDC) that will be handed out to 5 people that have supported the #FightForPrivacy Thunderclap campaign. At this moment, already more than 2000 SDC has been donated into a donation address. When our Thunderclap message is blasted out we will pick 5 winners from the list of supporters. These winners will all receive a 20% share of the total amount that is on the wallet at that time. This means that everybody who wants to support the campaign can contribute by sending new donations to the wallet makings things more interesting for all supporters. To give new supporters some extra time to support and join the contest we have moved the launch date to the 10th of may.

Please support the campaign and encourage your friends who care about privacy to do the same. Together, we can let the world know how the Shadow Project will help us #FightForPrivacy!

A big thanks and good luck to all supporters!

Can we create a topic for this in the Altcoin Discussion section?  Maybe label it "Win free Shadow"?  Or is advertising contests not permitted in that section?  Probably get more views over there.

I'm having trouble getting my coins moved.  I notified Cryptsy and they basically said that they are not on the block chain so it didn't happen.  They feel I need to sync or re-download the block chain.  I know there have been some problems with large transactions and there were quite a bit of transactions that went through at the same time as mine.  What should I do next or what should I tell cryptsy to get a better response?

thanks.

We have a nice schedule and updates on zerocoin.  How about some word on AOX/pow?  I have not heard anything since they said there would be a hardfork.

I think those getting out of doge because of the market cap limit removal are a bit short sited, and ive come around to the idea after initially disliking it. This coin is basically on fast forward for its first year, at which point it will crawl along at 5% from this time next year. Sure its indefinite - but honestly how many people are really going to hold for such an amount of time that it will have a profound efect on the coins price?
I dont see people crying about the fact that Bitcoin is going to inflate by 11% in 2014, 10% in 2015, and 9% in 2016. Anything could have happened in this crazy crypto world by the time that the decision to add 5% yearly really starts to have any noticable effect.

Its not just the 5% yearly inflation from next year (10 000 new coins every single minute) for ever and ever its more the 80% inflation in the next 3 years which makes smart money depart. At beginning of year there where about 30bil in 3 years time its 110bil.

With my pension fund i try to increase my purchasing power by 5% not lose 5% yearly, the longer i hold the worse of i will be, year after year.

The average house price in America in 1964 was $14 000. Would someone have held the money till now he could buy very little with it this days. Would he have purchased a average house it would be about $222 000 today. The price of the house has not changed only the currency lost few percent (2-3) every year in relation to it.

I am still holding millions, but getting itchy.

There are 7 billion people on this planet.  I'm guessing about 1 percent of those know what "a doge coin" is.  Its not about inflation its about popularity and dogecoin is the most popular coin going right now.

If anyone wants to know what wolong has planned for DOGE follow him on his twitter https://twitter.com/GameOfDeception

its good to stay in touch with his plans  Grin

So he sold his doge and is now buying unobtainium? Lol... I predict massive spike ahead for that coin, just by stating his intention.
It must be true I read it in the net

Actually from what I see in cryptsy chart, it's spiking already for the last day or so, massively.

He caused the spike now he's trying to get people interested so they will buy it from him.
