Hello Tytanick,

After update 1176, my rigs with 1060s became very unstable, restarting hundreds of times, i'm forced to shut them down at the moment.
I don't know if it's because of the update or other reason, because i didn't have enough time to throubleshoot.

P.S rigs with rx480s are super stable.

Edited: Here is what i receive on the console when rig is starting (picture is on link below):

https://imgur.com/fs0a6IS

After that Claymore miner is started, and as soon as i get card hashrates displayed - rig is rebooted instantly.
When i saw the message i removed any overclocking and the behavior is still the same.

If the service is free people are relaxed and use it, and if it crashes you can say to yourself "fuk it, its good, its free, its normal to have some issues".
But when you start paying for something and it crashes people are more strict about that service Smiley this should apply to people maitaining the service as well, which we can't see at the moment.

Guess i'm moving to another OS, i'm not a fan of this attitude with zero answers from the admin.
The only thing which he said is that there is stupid Nvidia release with no overclocking, so whats the point of that stuff.

If this is not fixed by tomorrow morning i guess i'll make my own Ubuntu distro like i did for my Nvidia rigs.
This auto updating should be optional in my opinion.

Pretty sad that no answers on the issue with cards dropping to 0 mh/s from Tytanick.

Hello Tytanick,

Please investigate the issues mentioned before with the rigs from today (etc. Cards crashing to 0 Mh/s randomly).
Thanks.

Probably seems to you have inapropiate voltage set.. which powerstate do you use?
Which card model  and what settings etc? Please give more info about your rig config.

I'm using powerstate "7", I have my gpu core and memory clocks coded to BIOS directly and they are stable.
Cards are Sapphire RX 480 8 GB.
I'm using smOS from 2 months with same settings with no issues so maybe this is not the case.

P.S since 4 hours they are stable and didn't make a single restart. Before that i had more than 30 restarts on each rig.

Hi,
Is there any update from today because from 1 hour my rigs are super unstable restarting a milion times , and different GPUs are hanging non-stop.
They were super stable and i doubt its a hardware problem on both of them at the same time.
Its for sure the OS.
nothing changed ... thunderstorm?!

I'll go check them at place, because i'm away now.
Lets hope not Smiley just wanted to be sure if any driver/kernel version changes are not presented.

As i can see there is 1098 version so something is changed. Maybe my rigs restarted and applied newer version and then problems started.

Hello,
I found solution for the overclocking.
My driver version is NVIDIA 381.22

Use these two commands reboot and OC is not a myth anymore Smiley

command1:
nvidia-xconfig -s -a --allow-empty-initial-configuration \
--cool-bits=12 --registry-dwords="PerfLevelSrc=0x2222" \
--no-sli --connected-monitor="DFP-0" -o /etc/X11/xorg.conf

command2:
sed -i '/Driver/a Option "Interactive" "False"' /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Sorry, typo, GTX 1070
Code:
m1@m1-desktop:/$ lspci | grep VGA
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation Device 1b81 (rev a1)

I'm in the process of re-imaging my flash drive to eliminate any possibility of that being an issue and will update accordingly.

Hello I have same problem like UberDaemon with Asus Z270-P a few empty rows and no overclocking active for my cards (1060s) i have tested v0015 the result is the same.
I even built my own ubuntu and installed CUDA+driver the result is the same.
nvidia-smi is returning information that for that GPU there is no other supported clocks than base ones. Which is not true because on windows i had overclock them a lot.

P.S when i edit the xorg.conf with coolbits option i don't see "Edittable Performance" section on Powermizer on nvidia-settings.

Please if anyone knows something about that issue respond Smiley I doubt that this is an image issue because it's happening on another linux installation as well.
More like drivers/settings in my opinion.

I have one of these motherboards, but it is boxed.  I will get it out tonight and try to replicate what is happening myself.  In order to replicate the situation as closely as possible: what CPU are each of you using?

On rig G3930 , but i'm doing some settings of the image on another PC so there i have i3 2120 no luck there also.

Also sometimes it does not find the /media/m1/**** directory , workaround is to open the folder (happens on USB flash and harddrive), but this is not really workaround because it needs human intervention.
If you know other way of doing it you should implement it, this is recommendation.

Or maybe I've got corrupted image, i don't know.

Hi, overclocking is just not working, either the script is corrupted or some driver version issue.
Both "individual" and "all-cards" are not getting pointed clock settings.

I'm using the image for Z270.

It is always possible to have a bad image.  To minimize the occurance of this always wait a few seconds after imaging indicates 100% before closing the imaging program, and always ensure you eject the usb before removing it from the build computer.

Which z270 image are you using?  What motherboard and cards are you using?

Let me know.

Hi,
Here is the image:
8xOC_with_first_m2_ASUS_PRIME_Z270-A__nvOC_v0014.zip

Its the only one which i found on that point for my motherboard Asus Prime Z270-P
Video cards are Asus Dual 1060 6gb.

Also i saw some answers with screenshots about adding attributes.
Well i see a few empty rows after "coolbits" commands and then miner is running. I don't see these rows with attributes.

P.S for the guys with same cards, what i found on windows is GPU clock -200 Mhz , and memory clock +850 Mhz super stable at 23 Mh/s ETH.

Hi, i'have imaged the OS to hard drive and its working fine.
Just right after the boot terminal window is opened and start executing some commands with message of sudo password.
Is this by design or i should put some intervention. At the end after 20-30 minutes of waiting i got claymore miner started and got error that no space to create DAG file.

Hi,
i bought a few ASUS DUAL 1060s 6GB , and i'm going to test your OS.

I saw that this v0014 is specific for USB keys, i would like to use 3.5 HDD, will you provide download link to older version. Thanks.

Editted: Thanks ! Smiley
