New wallet is working nicely. I love the new features.  Smiley
Sounds great!

I've wanted to test the new wallet, but my VM is officially dead so I need to rebuild it.

Bingo!  It started right up after that little naming detail! Smiley
I guess I'm a bit of a noob outside of HW Lol
Thanks again to all you guys helping!
Tony,
I figured the issue was something like this which is why I wanted to see your config file.

Glad you got it up and running.

Tom,
Welcome back, glad to hear you're alive and doing well.

I haven't heard back from Tony (PM, forum post, or IRC) regarding the issues with his wallet. Might be related to his conf file.

Tony,
Sorry was AFK for a while over lunch.  Can you upload your config file somewhere? I'll check it out. I'm running Win 7 64 bit as well. I've had no issues after creating a conf file on my VM.

No new wallet that I'm aware of.

EDIT:  You can always jump into IRC.  There are several of us in chat right now.

Still no luck, the .conf file I made is .conf , I double checked in the appdata folder and it is listed as CONF file under the Type tab.  Firecoin is selected as an exception in the firewall.  I also deleted the peers.dat file. Rebooted and opened wallet with no activity in processes. I then downloaded a another qt and did it all again with the .conf file.

Thanks for your help but the only thing left is I'm running 64 bit windows 7. Is a new wallet coming out this week?

Tony,
Do as Mickey mentions in his post. If you save the file as a text file, the wallet will not pickup the addnode data from it. The extension needs to be .conf.

It shouldn't take long, but you may need to exit/re-start the wallet. I did a reboot after adding my conf file and it started a sync before I made it back from the kitchen(2-3 minutes).

Let us know if you get it to sync or are still having issues?

Cheers,
- VR

add these in a .conf file in appdata/roaming/firecoin
addnode=46.165.208.140:49697
addnode=162.243.198.249:49697
addnode=24.85.126.229:49697
addnode=103.22.181.239:49697
addnode=108.163.232.221
addnode=37.59.21.58
addnode=node.[Suspicious link removed]
Thank you for the .conf data. I created a file and placed it in the wallets folder but no luck. I am seeing a 01, 02 CPU use in my task manager, maybe it just needs time....
Hi,
This worked for me straight away, did you save the file as all files as opposed to a txt file? That could be one reason why its not working. I know that's basic and you may have already checked it, just give it a good once over. Also, did you place the .conf in the roaming folder under your username?

Exit the wallet, kill the process if you need to, then come back and check. Also, ensure that your AV / Firewall is not blocking the Fire client.

Anybody know, on the multipool, mining scrypt.......should one see any coins coming in after 20 hours of mining or is it too soon to see some Fire come in?
I know Tom posted about this, but it all depends on your personal hash rate and the FireCoinPool total pool hashrate.  You can check your balance on the pool you're linked to.  Nicehash and Wafflepool both have account/wallet balances that you can check on.

Per WafflePools official FAQ:
Payouts are processed multiple times a day, and anyone with a balance over 0.005 BTC is automatically paid in order of when you reached the threshold. On Sundays we pay everyone with a balance over 0.0005.

Ok so I have been talking to other coins to work with them and help build out all of our communities. The first coin is Global Denomination. They have offered to add us to their auction site https://crypto-auctions.com/#4307aa708684 . This would allow us to buy and sell there for Fire. We believe this is the best way to move forward in terms of market place. Each coin does not need its own mnarket place otherwise each one will remain small. If we combine a few communities on this site it will help attract more sellers/buyers. They would like to know if the community has interest and if we will have things ready to list. They want to make sure it is worth their effort to add us. So let me know if you guys are interested and will be active with this site. https://crypto-auctions.com/#4307aa708684

I also have another marketplace I am working on getting us added too. It is still being built but close to being down. I will give out more info on this site once the plans are finalized.

I just wanted to bring this to current page. Only 1 person has shown interest.
@Tom,
I think most people are just not willing to go out of their way to post.  Sometimes its easier to just read, lurk, and not post :-/

Hopefully more people will speak up soon if they want the coin to continue to grow!

So I have a few questions for everyone. I am thinking of changing the weekly contest a little but need some input. Would you guys rather have large prize but more expensive entry or cheep prize but cheaper entry?
@Tom Great questions. You could try playing around with the idea of smaller price/prize contests that enter contestants into a larger prize.

For example, maybe a smaller weekly prize with 2 or 3 winners.  Each winner gets a small prize in crypto currency plus several free entries into a larger monthly prize. The monthly contest could be a large fixed prize, with additional funds added based on the number of entries.

Maybe monthly contest entries could be purchased, but at double the weekly contest price. This would give people incentive to enter each weekly contest and still be eligible to just enter for the monthly contest.

The time/date ranges for these types of contests (weeks and months) could be changed to days and weeks or anything else.

Congrats to the winner.

Anyone know if the faucet is working? Tried it probably 12+ hours ago but have yet to receive anything. So not sure if it's the faucet or something else.
Yes the faucet is working.

You need to verify your email and then accept each payment via email for your free FireCoin.  If you haven't verified or accepted the Fire via your registered email address than thats the issue.

Takes only about a minute after I confirm via email to get my FireCoin from the faucet!

Just wanted to let everyone know the winner chose the .1BTC. Here is the TX ID hopefully he will come here and verify this was sent to him. 5eb422d2f657515ba265a97fa8e3a52a0ccf53d2e52af5c9726a7aae0e5b1c9a
Yes, I chose 0.10 and I received it.
Thank you all for the congratulations, I've been lucky.
Do not lose sight of this coin, will be a big one. Very small issue. Perhaps this currency above 0.01 it may not have enough sales positions and can be a great rush. I say the same as Tom, the value is above 0.01-0.10, perhaps more than 0.10 btc. The market will tell.
Maybe there are not enough fire extinguishers that can extinguish this fire. An idea is to find if some big company that sells fire extinguishers and fire products, accepts BTC; perhaps want to adopt this coin .....
Thank youuuuuuuu
Also in heaven there is place for fire

I wanted this to be close to the announcement of the contest for the doubters. I paid him

Income in my bittrex account, NO DOUBT THAT THE TRUTH CONTEST

Javierbaco,
Glad to hear you got your BTC from the contest.  Thanks for posting, it helps reassuring others.

Weekly Contest

This Weeks Contest will be for .25 BTC.
Drawing will be 8/10 2pm central USA (7pm GMT)

How to enter. Go to our website http://firecoin.tk/community/weekly-drawing/ or Send FireCoin to pay for entry to the donations address listed in OP. I will use you tx ID as your entry ticket and if you buy multiple entries I will add appropriate number of entries. PM me your tx ID and I will draw from all tx ID's the winner AUG 1st GMT.

Cost of entries
1 entry equals 20 Fire
12 entries equal 200 Fire

Please only send in increments of 20 or 100. ie: 20 40 400 not 25.

We will be updating the Website ASAP to the new contest prize. You can still enter there and it will go to this weeks prize of .25 BTC and not last weeks .1 BTC.

I have also had to raise the price for entry due to the cost per FIRE has dropped since last week and I am offer a larger prize this week. At Current price it is roughly $1.20 per entry for a chance to win $150. Please spread the word. The more entries we get the more I will raise next weeks prize and the lower I can keep entry costs.

Tom,
I think you want to update the date the winner will be announced.  You said August 1st, but I'm sure that was just a cut and paste from the last drawing.

Keep up the great work!

It is great to see an increase in hash on our Multi pool. Hopefully more will consider it. It will help the community out by helping create buy orders. http://www.firecoinpool.com/
Tom,
I've already been seeing a steady income of FireCoin through the multipool and I only have 2 small miners setup!!

So far the multipool has paid me in FireCoin yesterday AND today!  Hopefully more people will jump aboard soon and realize how good this opportunity is.

i am hanging to my coins but nowhere does it state you have to have .005 to get a payout. and furthermore the miners have to pay more than worth value for the coin they are mineing for really.

Multi-pools dont have "instant" payouts. Most typically have a minimum amount and payout on a set time if you're under the amount. I agree that the site doesn't list the min coin amount (hopefully the creator will add that) for payout, but a minimum coin for payout is standard.

and furthermore you're not paying more than the coin is worth.  You're paying exactly the standard market sell value. If everyone is selling bitCoin at $600 and stinger1969 wants to buy it at $500 does mean the value is $500? No.

Announcing The Official Multipool is Live!!

http://www.firecoinpool.com/

Once you enter your Firecoin address and click register it will tell you how to mine. SHA 256, Scrypt, X11, X13, Scrypt N, and Keccak. Happy mining Let me know if you have any questions.

The multipool is really nice.  Shows mining stats for Wafflepool/NiceHash at the same time along with stats for each algorithms, and total unconfirmed/confirmed BTC.  Forward my props to the multi-pool guy.

What are people getting with undervolted/underclocked cards?

I'm running 2 R9 280x cards down at almost 1.00v and 930/1220 @ 18intensity. They're getting about 2.8Mh/s, is that terrible or ok if they're running 930/1220? Running them low to save on power/heat, and its hott as balls in my place right now.

"intensity" : "13",
"worksize" : "400",

UPDATE!
Code:
New miner: https://www.dropbox.com/s/59lvecndm866bzz/sph-sgminer_x11mod_b2.zip (fixed bugs) new rev
Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=616786.0
set kernel to x11mod, about 35% increase in performance with the same watt usage.

What date was this update and when was that new miner build released? I've gotten newer kernals from sgminer builds released this month. The sgminer build I'm using is dated July 7th.
