i got a theory behind this. people invest millions in china into crypto most bad years china bans cyrpto so Chinese people sell in for fiat currency suddenly china's got lots of extra money to prop up there faked growth figures and attract millions from stupid inverters.

china is actually a failing country but news is controlled and so are government figures. its also THE most corrupt country and nothing like how communism is suppose to work

Wright is currently trying to sue several bitcoin companies because he "lost" his keys. hes also not satoshi and i can tell you why very simply
hes NEVER publicly signed a signature from a know satoshi wallet that could simply be verified by anyone that wants to check.
i can fully buy and understand the fact hes lost the wallets most of us have been there at some point. but the big thing for me is satoshi has been around several times to say no this person isnt me. if DR wright is satoshi he could sign into his account on any platform and simply say see this is me. i believe that satoshi simply wants this to play out and see what happens or has passed away.

if the court believes wright is satoshi then hes going to be in and out of court for years getting sued (especially if he wins the court cases for his lost bitcoin) and if hes proven not to be satoshi hes still going to get sued for affecting companys credibility. its another reason i dont think hes satoshi, Satoshi was a smart person coverd his tracks careful who he spoke to Dr Wright is in a loose loose situation something i cant see satoshi doing.

Several problems with this

No.1 you loose your keys your coins are gone if he really invented bitcoin he'd know and accept this.

No.2 if he really was Satoshi he'd either have signed a message from the original wallet when he was challenged on it years ago or simply log into his account on here

Id seriously think twice about turning up anywhere with that much cash. Id suggest doing it in a bank branch. Or divide it up into smaller chunks.

If its bad chips on the haphazard there usually easy to spot especially if there under there own heat sinks like the older miners as when you mine the chips usually stay cold or very hot so just work along the rows with a thermometer  or by touching the heat sink.

Controllers from bitmain  are a bit trickier last time I checked each one needs flash e.g a S7 needs to refresh to an S6 for it to work properly or detect the board.

lets clear a few things up shall we using a Public DNS isnt dangerous so stop with the crap already... is it more likely to be targeted? yes as more people use it but its also alot more likely to have the latest software and patches applied... next there are many Public Dns's out there hell even cloudflare brought one out 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 (your welcome) its not hard to do a few checks. if your really paranoid use the bloody ip addresses so you can get Middle man attacked (DNS hijacked)
VPNs can be a good option as most of the time they user there own DNSbut the easiest and best option is look at your address bar... see the green lock... its there for a reason it means that site is who its claiming to be. quick easy stuff will keep you safe against the 99% of scams out there and always ALWAYS try to use 2FA that way if you log in to a bad website youll still have a 2nd line of defense even if they grab your password they cant hijack the email (unless your one of those that use the same password for everythign in which case good luck.

think you need to have a look again as they now let you buy and swap bitcoin (and i think a few altcoins) iv used them a few months and prices are quite good for UK standards they have a full crypto side to it now

there isnt really an advantage to downloading a full node these days as they take up a not so small amount of space. id honestly stick to using lightweight or even online wallets... suprised no one has metions one of the oldest and most trusted online wallent https://www.blockchain.com/ (AKA blockchain.info) id just use them, remeber a good password for both your email address and wallet are esential and dont use the same for both. enable 2FA so any login needs an email conformation too... you pretty much sorte then and can have a neat little moble app if you want to take it with you.
