Through the search engine, I found many links to similar coins! Is this all fake? I would like to see the original links to TOKC (Tokyocoin) resources! Is the project alive or dead?
Tokyocoin is alive!
Explorer is alive (https://tokyocoin.xyz)!
Graviex and freiexhange trades is alive!
Other resources are not our

You need to fix Certificate on this tokyocoin.xyz domain. it's nothing critical, but a new user gets a warning when he accesses it, so it seems risky.

I think I still have a wallet file somewhere with some value of this coin. Now is worth less than 1 satoshi  Cheesy as far as I remember, he went under when he appeared in the Yobit scam investment scheme.

Surprised the network is still chugging along. At this point is't more about nostalgia than money, but anything is possible.

Tezos... Most energy efficient, earn 5% or better staking, price appreciation is almost guaranteed, already does nearly everything the ADA, ETH, etc. are trying to do. Been successfully doing smart contracts for years. No hard forks, and record of successful upgrades on the fly.
Massive advertising campaign that is coming. RedBull, McLaren, The Mets, NFTs, and people in the know piling in.
Compare dedicated web sites, and actual functionality. Tezos isn't based on hype, they earn it.
On top of that security. Look at how many flaws have been found in ETH, and how much money has been lost.

10x to 100x predictions all over the place.

Dead coins... Got hundreds of them  Grin
It's my personal cemetery of dreams... They will sleep forever in my wallets, reminding me that everything in this world is mortal  Smiley

Somebody should do a dead coin NFT. I have over a hundred, Lebowskis, Klondike, Megacoin, etc. They remind me of some great times in the early crypto scene.
Back then it was like a game, today it is serious business.

I stepped away from investing in tezos during the ICO because there were to many red flags for me. Looking back I am glad I did not. With all the stuff that went wrong, it might still be a long way for Tezos to overcome this. Will monitor the project though

Even there are lots of conflicts, I'm glad I invested in Tezos. Time will tell it was good or bad idead though  Cheesy

Tezos was looking very iffy for a long while. Now pretty much all the conflicts are sorted, and Tezos will easily be a contender for a spot in the top 5 market caps.
There has been lots of great news lately, and yesterday there was reason to believe the network will go live soon. Looks like Tezos ICO investors will soon be rewarded for sticking it out for all these months. In my opinion this is the best opportunity since the Ethereum ICO. I don't think it will take long to see if I'm correct.

This is an older article, but it definitely speaks volumes about Tim Draper's genius (one of the few who accurately predicted Bitcoin at $10,000 3 years ago). Also interesting to note that he avoided investment in China before the government screwed their crypto markets.

I hope in march we will get official TEZOS launch date

I feel certain we will have a launch date by next month. With a little luck Tezos will go live next month.

New strong members of Tezos board have been elected today https://tezosfoundation.ch/news/tezos-board-expanded/
I suppose now XTZ is 100% ready for the launch.

Things getting on the track. Olaf Carlson-Wee one of the favorites of the community as a board mamber.
As I remember he was with T2 foundation too.

Absolutely. He is close to Arthur Breitman, and that was the problem Gevers had with him. Now that virtually unlimited money will be available to the developers this thing will take off like a rocket.

https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/tezos-foundation-adds-four-new-members-paving-way-platform-launch/

do you think the fund raised money will go back to the foundation? it is almost worth 1 billion.

The foundation has always been in control of the money. The problem was that Johann Gevers was not releasing any of it to the development team. That issue is now resolved, and the new foundation members have already stated that the developers and other projects will be funded immediately.

The Breitmans are in the drivers seat now, which is exactly what needed to happen. The Tezos project will start to move rapidly now.

Tezos is its own blockchain, not a derivative of any other blockchain. Tezos is a secure, future smart contract system. Tezos price for today is $2.146. I thing this a good project. I hope stay invested on Tezos and the marketing of Tezos continues to grow in future.
Future for what? Tezos still on the battle with the government. for a project that worth more than 200 million dollars and this looks terrible. The blockchain of tezos not even developed. How can you say that tezos is future, secure  smartcontract system? tezos is fail and that's from various analyzation. Look at cardano and other. How they don't need a lot of money for that.

For the record Tezos isn't battling any government. It is my opinion that all the lawsuits will be dissmissed. The "The Fundraiser" clearly stated that all contributions were donations, and that there were no guarantees that tokens would ever be distributed. That said, it was only common sense because delays happen, and idiots that didn't read the terms file lawsuits that will only contribute to FUD and slow things down. As expected the Tezos project is back on track, and I expect it will reshape the Crypto world in a few short months. I believe the current cash on hand is around $1 Billion, with a market cap of around $3 Billion. http://www.tezosmarketcap.com/

So to say Tezos is a fail at this early point would be quite naive.

I am planning to buy a Raspberry Pi 2 for mining Tokyocoin. Can anyone point to me some websites or links that would help me mine this coin? I am really interested in mining but I don't have the know how. Many say you need to be a programmer to understand the language but I am only in for the mining part. Can someone help?

My stake computer is a small itx board with quad core cpu and linux. I have a raspi2 too. You have to use a fast micro sd. Class 10 is recommended. But iam not happy with the raspi as wallet. All in all its very slow. Maybe it runs better without gui wallet. But i dont like that way.

I dont know where you from, but you can google it in your language. I have this board:
https://www.reichelt.de/?ARTICLE=188098&PROVID=2788&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvsLf_Oy02QIVjcmyCh37XwqoEAQYAiABEgJ6rvD_BwE

With pico psu, 4gb ram, hdd and itx tower, it should cost less than 150$.

I have a Nav, Tokc, Gplay and RDD wallet for staking on this and everything runs fine. My Os is Lubuntu 14.04. Its a lightwight easy to use os.

If your only option is a raspberry pi, you should use lubuntu 14.04 ARM. Tokc wallet runs into openssl problems with newer ubuntu lts versions. Maybe there is a easy workarround, but the easiest way is to use a compatible os. I never used tokc on raspi, but i dont see a reason, why it should not work. My english is not the best, but its not a problem for me to give help. Feel free to write me a pm, if you have any questions.

Edit: You dont need to be a programmer to mine tokc^^ Its very easy. Install the wallet and let it stake.

Thanks for the heads up mate. My main reason for that plan is basically to be able to leave a computer 24/7 without any issues so I can stake my coins there and I will be able to make sure that I can leave the said cpu on without experiencing any problems. Though it was also mentioned that it is slow so I am not sure if that will help stake multiple coins.

My itx board is 24/7 online without any problems. Power consumbtion is only ~10 watt. You can run it headless from everywhere in your house and control it via remote desktop. Only power cable and network is needed. I think that is the best way for a staking rig. And you have the option for more than one coin. On Raspi you can install max 1 wallet. And its very slow then. Maybe raspi 3 is a bit faster. But i dont know.

I would suggest a cheap used laptop. You can buy one for around $50. Very low power use, and you can run as many wallets as you like. Also very easy to secure if need be.
Just make sure to encrypt, and back up your wallets.

Just thought I'd say hello to everyone. I lead a small group of Crypto investors (about 30 of us) that discovered TokyoCoin a few weeks ago. We are buying in for the long haul and the nice staking.
Good looking web site, and simple honest concept. I expect this coin to do well once we get some momentum, and people discover the power of compound interest on their stake.

Best of luck to everyone!

Please update your wallet to 0.10.3. We need a good support for the next Update 0.15

Why start a new thread, and lose all the important history in this one?

Especially considering we have a recent comment from Kimoto? Upcoming attention???

Figures, I threw in the towel on Megacoin a few months ago.

So many idiots in the world.  Roll Eyes

At this point a class action lawsuit is only going to hurt investors. If you got in on the ICO, the value of your Tezos is still up some 500%.
Quite impressive considering nothing has happened. It was obviously a mistake to partner with Johann Gevers. But I would still trust the Breitman's, and give them some time to get this resolved.

This was never an investment that had any guaranteed timeline, and February still seems fair to me. A class action lawsuit will only add to the problems and delays.

I know the old account "snakey" from Megacoin.

It is still a scam... i hope i can help.

Kind Regards Christian

Thank you Christian...

To admin, me and Christian were working on the old megacoin forums trying to revive the coin years ago and I was the one who got megacoin added to Bittrex by raising the 3BTC fee back then...

Please recover my account.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner... Been on vacation.

I also know "snakey" from these forums, and the Megacoin forums.

Let me know if I can help with anything.

The negative comments seem to indicate immaturity, and lack of understanding the history of crypto currencies. The best indicator of a coin's future is the number of people who invest, and the talent and organization of it's leadership.
It seems foolish to underestimate Tezos when you consider the support behind it. I'm betting most of the folks trying to find reasons it won't have massive success are really wishing they had invested early.

Possible reasons?

  • Nobody knows
  • Nobody cares
  • Kimoto returned from his spacecraft and visited btc38

The problem with Megacoin has always been "Nobody knows". Virtually every coin is driven by speculation, but Megacoin fans have always needed an extra measure of faith.

I really miss those early days when the impossible seemed inevitable.

Maybe it's just a moment to admit that a good coin doesn't necessarily need to have a beatiful announcement full of bounties and crap and random people not even capable of using Google Translate to communicate in English..

best post i have read on this forum.
Thanks mate  Wink

4 years, and hundreds of millions of dollars invested, and only 5 pages of bitcointalk posts?

some meaningless bla-bla-bla Pitty if you invested money in this.
Sorry for you to haven't had a chance to do so. You will be able to recover (if you're smart enough) and buy some in October, for x10 ICO price, but who would really care?

I don't know about 10x the ICO price by October, but I am betting we will see at least 3x to 5x. Tezos is the future.
