Agreed too.  Block is SO undervalued right now.   Even if you dont have enough to run a node, there will be a nice profit in the coming weeks after the Fork and then after that with the UI launch. HODL!

How much you need to run a node?

Blocknet - Polo, Kraken, Bitfinex killer
by

Blocknet could be the best investment of 2017. Here's why:

Exchanges are centralized:
- They can be insolvent without you knowing
- They decide which coins to add -- which hurts a lot of crypto projects
- They could be trading against you without you knowing
- They require KYC to stay complaint and you have no idea where that information goes. Isn't it strange that people want privacy with things like Monero and Zcash, but we give exchanges our identification?

Interoperability of blockchains is going to be huge:
- With a Blocknet backend, people can trustlessly use any cryptocurrency they want for anything that accepts bitcoin

Poloniex, Kraken, and Bitfinex have each been facing problems, and soon people will look for decentralized exchanges out of need, not just a "nice to have".

Blocknet is the only fully trustless cross blockchain exchange that is working. Right now it's working in testnet with BTC/SYS, BTC/BAY, and BTC/LTC. The devs can trivially add any currency that is BIP65/CLTV (including ZCash, Dash etc.), they plan on integrating ETH soon, and the exchange works for any combination of pairs.

Re: [ANN][INCNT] Incent Loyalty | Waves CAT | On Bittrex | Roll-out Q1/Q2 2017

any plan for masternode down the road?
Answered you in Slack. Incent doesn't run its own blockchain, it's a digital asset on the Waves blockchain. There are no plans to introduce master nodes to Waves, however.

So to recap:
Yes, we're not buying in realtime right now - though hopefully this should be deployed soon, so that every ICO deposit leads to an (almost) immediate exchange buy of Incent.
This time around, for reasons explained, we need to bundle up a few payments and submit them together.
Anyone who is following the progress of EncryptoTel's crowdsale might be interested to know this.

so the buys will be made at the end of these ICOs? Someone said incent will make some buys today.
https://twitter.com/Epimetheusz/status/856506301773471745
Is that correct or no?

Woulnt that just make price jump immediately and then people just dump back into this? It is not clear from this answer when will the buys occur. Better to buy slowly, isnt it?

A series of updates to Waves meant there were issues to fix in the main software. This time, with EncryptoTel, it was safer to bundle a bunch of buys together and make them all at once. In general, each buy will be made in real time, separately - just like every merchant transaction.

ah,so the buys were already made for EncryptoTel?

So how does it work with mobilego then? You check how much was raised that day? Or once per week? Or when the campaing is over you start making small buys or do you make buys during the coming days?

No, they buys haven't been made yet  Smiley

Not quite. Basically every time a deposit comes in we take 0.5% of it and purchase Incent from the secondary market. Whatever amount of Incent we get for that is credited to the investor. This happens in real-time (within a few minutes after the deposit) and investors are able to withdraw their Incent right away.

The two points you mentioned seem contradictory. Lets say the Mobilego crowdsale is tomorrow at 11am, before 9pm will you have purchased INCNT on the market?

How prompt will these payments be? If MobileGo raises 10 million in the morning, should we expect 50k of INCNT to be purchased later in the night (by latest)?

Some stuff I was able to gather in slack about what is happening next....

Note - nothing is set in stone as things change due to community needs and consensus.  That's how the Block community works.

So....

1. Apparently the API will be worked on shortly very soon in readyness for the...
2.  ...development of the UI which will start in about 7 weeks.
3. Efforts are being made to add Block to AT LEAST  one other exchange. YOU CAN VOTE FOR BLOCK HERE TO BE ADDED TO C-CEX:
https://c-cex.com/?id=vote&coin=block
4. A percentage of staking coins will be sent to the Dev fun.  % to be determined.
5. The integration of SPV so nobody has to download chains for coins on the decentralized exchange. (not confirmed but looks positive - apparently this work could be done while the UI is being developed at its 2 different people)
6. Various marketing ideas are being discussed and will probably be voted on.
7. LTC testing has started. BitBay will be next with possibly Zcash after that. (not confirmed)

In short...

LOTS GOING ON.

Important thing to keep in mind: "if it supports the same api interface as btc 0.13.2 code base w/ BIP65/cltv then it is trivial to add" - @atcsecure.

Soon there will be A LOT more currencies. #GoodbyePOLO

Just give the users the option to query chainz. It is after all their security in their own hands. And I trust chainz enough... especially if you
get 2 other decent block explorers it can poll.

Presumably a faster solution but it sounds a tad centralised by it's nature of being reliant upon 3rd party APIs.

In the long term I would prefer the SPV approach championed by Synechist as it's more in spirit of what's been accomplished thus far. However, I'm also grateful for any and all development and querying an API service does get the job done.
I think 3rd party open sourced APIs should be fine for the short term. Similar to how a lot of us don't run the bitcoin software, but use an open source wallet to interact with the network.

Zcash creator is tweeting about Block enquiring how to integrate with it: https://mobile.twitter.com/zooko/status/854841822417498113

This adds further legitimacy to the Blocknet project.
There should be no reason (other than tech incompatability) stopping cryptocurrency founders from working with Blocknet. If the core dev team can work on the tech, as a community we can work on increasing the top of the funnel so people are always wanting to integrate.

We can send btc, right? From stock exchanges?

You should not send BTC/ETH from an exchange or you risk loosing your coins. You should hold the private keys to the wallets you use for crowdsale.

You can take part with BTC for the first 24 hours. 1 BTC  = 6000 RLC
You can take part with ETH through the whole crowdsale. Price of ETH/RLC will be adjusted every 10 mins according to Kraken price

Hope this helps

Why only Kraken? Largest ETH exchange is poloniex, you should use a average price or poloniex instead of Kraken's price.
They are just looking at the quoted price. So the difference will be negligible at best.

5000 to run a node.   I have seen some crazy calculations on what you could earn if you run a node.  Even with low fees.  If everyone is trying to buy 5000 block to run a node at this limited supply, this could go nuts.

Not only that, Blocknet will enable diffeent chains to talk to each other!

You mean masternodes, right? The concept is extremely popular after Dash's surge, it helps the price pump and we will go up higher.

> To avoid any potential confusion, the Blocknet does not use masternodes.

> A "masternode" is something people use in coinjoin to try anonymise transactions.

> The Blocknet uses "exchange nodes". Exchange nodes won't control any coins during a trade; they will function to distribute the trade fees across the network.

You do get paid for running a node though, but it's different from a dash style masternode.

So there is no one running the project? I see no changes have been made on github since 2015. Is there still an active dev/leader?

base of cryptocurreny is open source, anyone can be the dev or leader here Smiley, would you like to be marketing of icash??what you wait?we can work now.!

so there's no dev and it's pumping? smh
They mentioned Limx Dev is going to do contract work. From there I believe they'll try to build a community and revive the project.

My masternodes generate a nice income at this rate 😎 i just have the feeling this is just a start. More nodes come a live, so more coins are off the exchanges 😆
How much are you earning per MN per day?
