Re: What comes to your mind when you think of Japan?

The Japanese have strong traditions and religious beliefs. I think the problem is more to do with the strict upbringing they have to deal with than the religious problem. From childhood, they learn that they must live by the rules of being the best, getting into the best university, studying hard, honoring the family name etc.Society puts too much pressure on their shoulders and when they don’t achieve their goals, when they fail, they lose hope and the easiest way outfor them is to commit suicide.

Re: How to be a good speaker?

There is a commonly cited statistic that people are generally more fearful of public speaking than they are of death. The idea of performing a speech in front of an attentive audience is a nerve-wracking concept for most people. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be. Being a great speaker is a skill that is learned just as much as any other. When you have a strong command of your voice and self-presentation, confidence with public speaking tends to fall into place.

Just try to :
1. Articulating Your Voice
2. Talk slowly and
3. Minimize filler words and stammering.

Re: How to build a website?
by

on 20/04/2018, 01:59:13 UTC
Choose the right platform, If you want to build a good, mobile friendly and functional website quickly, you’ll need to choose a platform (also known as content management system). What do I mean by “content management system”? Well, back in 2004 when I got started with web development, most sites were built using HTML (code), CSS and even Flash. These took a lot of time to learn and were tricky to master. That’s why most people still think creating a website from scratch is difficult or requires a lot of coding and design skills – but that’s no longer true. In 2018, content management systems (CMS) like WordPress have made creating a website accessible to everyone. To put simply, a content management system (or website building platform) is a user-friendly platform for building websites and managing your own online content, instead of using a bunch of loose HTML pages. Try WIX to begin your journey of website building.

Re: Healthy Diet

I suggest you find the best fitness friend. A workout buddy is hugely helpful for keeping motivated, but it's important to find someone who will inspire, not discourage. So make a list of all your exercise-loving friends, then see who fits these criteria, says your best friend maybe. And also you have to know when to weigh, You have to follow your diet for a whole week. Weigh to go! Now it's time to start tracking your progress (and make sure pesky pounds don't find their way back on). "It's best to step on the scale in the morning before eating or drinking and prior to plunging into your daily activities," says Newgent. For the most reliable number, be sure to check your poundage at a consistent time, whether daily or weekly.

To Australia on Sydney harbor bridge, this bridge gives 360° view of Sydney, including the opera house. the climb is very much exciting and fun. it is indeed the world’s largest (but not longest) steel arch bridge. a number of couples have become engage some have even gotten married at the top of the Bridge. You don’t need to be an athlete. You’re not climbing ladders or using ropes. All you’re doing is walking up steps, most of them shallow and punctuated by ramps and horizontal catwalks. There are also plenty of stops where you take a breather and listen to your guide tell you about the Bridge. The only part of the climb where the steps get steep is at the very end, as you ascend to the summit. You can climb the Bridge at night. there is a twilight climb, which begins in daylight and ends after dark, so you get both daytime and nighttime views. (If you’re lucky, you get a sunset too.)

Re: What is Your Plan for the Future?
by
whandut93
on 19/04/2018, 06:07:49 UTC
My answer is that I have no plans for my future life and I have no qualms admitting this. It is a life’s lesson that I have learned and that too the hard way. So, now I believe in living in the present moment and giving my best to it. Rest I leave to Him, lest it should lead to unnecessary stress. It has happened numerous times with me as well as many of my acquaintances that things did not turn out the way we had planned. Then one is bound to feel frustrated, hopeless and exasperated or at least dejected.

However, if we just continue discharging our duties to the best of our abilities, then at least we would not suffer from pangs of compunction even if events don’t unfold as per our expectation. It is because we know that we had given our 100%. On the contrary, if we know or feel that had we put in more efforts, the outcome could have been different- then it hurts inordinately. Now, I try to take things in my stride as they come and do whatever I think would be the best in those circumstances. Given up planning for future! Don’t ruminate about the past, don’t worry about the future, live in the present moment and be happy. Yes! that is what I strive for- HAPPINESS!

Re: Forget the past
by
whandut93
on 18/04/2018, 02:35:22 UTC
The challenges of the past. Unresolved past experiences can sometimes produce lasting psychological and physiological effects. In such cases, it’s important to come to terms with how your past is affecting your current outlook or habits. An important first step is to stop trying to pretend you aren't affected by past events. You can't get over the past until you accept it. If something happens that reminds you of a traumatic event or triggers a strong emotional reaction, try to calmly acknowledge to yourself that this is the case. Let yourself feel what you feel about the past. Later steps in this article provide some specific strategies to help with this. For example, if you find yourself in a social situation that triggers powerful emotions about the past, don't try to push them away. Instead, excuse yourself for a moment and step away from the group. Then, take a moment to reflect on the past and how it is affecting you before rejoining the group. The impact of past traumas can be especially strong if you are without a strong social support network. Sometimes, the trauma resulting from past experiences can be so intense that it affects the people you care about.[2] Unresolved past experience can prevent you from building strong relationships with your loved ones. They can also keep you preoccupied with dreams that never came to fruition. This, in turn, can affect your current outlook and habits in ways that make it hard to cope with obstacles in your life.

Re: What are your goals in 2018?
by
whandut93
on 18/04/2018, 02:32:06 UTC
I have many Goals which I will not be sharing this answer but there is a HUGE one I believe it will resonate with many of us heading into 2018. First of all, this goal will be dedicated to this short speech by Benedict Cumberbatch one of my favorite actors. Why You Should Practice Being Stupid, Dumb, Unthinking | Benedict Cumberbatch

If after watching this short clip you still do not realize what the goal I want to share with you all is, then I will simply share it now.

Action, just do things. Shut that voice up in your head that keeps talking. Silence the voice of judgment and fear. Rather gather the courage and do what you want this year. For 2018 I will be doing my utmost best and give 100% to taking action towards everything I truly desire for my personal values, goals, character, and ambition. To stop thinking and worrying so much rather use that energy to go out in the world and create, strive, and experience. Experience only comes from taking action. Not from watching videos and reading all day. A new result will only arrive if we drive with a new intention. You will not see change without striving. You can only go forward with momentum by creating and talking the first step. 2018 will be about talking constant action and not let thoughts slow me down, but rather progress with courage even when the fear is still there. I hope you all achieve your goals and personal missions for 2018.

Re: What is the right age to retire?
by
whandut93
on 18/04/2018, 02:18:06 UTC
Average retirement age in the U.K. is 63, according to the U.K. Census Bureau. But that doesn’t mean 63 is the best age to retire for you. In fact, it is probably better to wait until you are older since Social Security benefits are reduced and Medicare isn’t available until you’re 65. That said, optimal retirement age is specific to the individual and only you can decide when the time is right. Below are discussion points that can help you with that decision—starting with what is perhaps the most important point to consider.

One of the regrets voiced most frequently by retirees is that they did not have a plan in place. The euphoria of having “nothing to do” is often replaced by the sad realization that you have “nothing to do.” To avoid this scenario, spend time before retirement thinking about life after retirement. What do you want to do? Travel? Work part-time? Volunteer at a nearby school, local museum or nonprofit group whose work you admire and want to support? Perhaps you want to take some time off to relax before diving back in. That’s not a problem, of course, but it’s best to explore more active options ahead of time and put them on your “to do” list for later. What’s most important is that you remain physically and mentally active in retirement.

Re: What are your best memories?
by
whandut93
on 17/04/2018, 02:37:17 UTC
My best memory was the worst memory, It began when I was hearing that my Mom might have leukaemia. This hit me really hard. As a family, we’ve been very lucky to not have any major health scares... Just imagine everything being great/business as usual and then BAM. It was the emotional equivalent of getting hit by a dump truck. The time between hearing it could be leukaemia to finally getting the results back was like being stuck in a time warp where everything simultaneously slowed down and sped up as I strove to spend as much time with my Mom as possible. Consequently, the best memory I have is when we found out she definitely didn’t have leukaemia. I’ve never felt so physically winded and emotionally relieved in my life. All the tension and uncertainty instantly melted and all I could do was sit down and smile and breathe sighs of relief.

A distant second for best memory would be a time during college when my friend Phil and I narrowly dodged certain death by speeding car into local boulder thanks to my downshifting and braking abilities on a really fun and really windy road. For my own safety…we probably won’t be going back there again. It would be like playing with fire. Really….really FUN fire.

My wife and I have both never been out of the country so I really just want to go to an international destination. My preferences would be Italy, Rome, the United Kingdom, and my wife wants to go to Germany.

We are going to either Mexico or Jamaica more than likely for our honeymoon, and then we are going to try to save up money each month so we can take a trip abroad every other year. There are great cruises or all inclusive deals on travel and we will just look at prices when we book, having never been out of the country we aren't too picky in what we experience, we wanna do it all!

Re: still haven't got a job
by

on 12/04/2018, 11:56:45 UTC
Job-seekers today can’t rely on passive methods of job-hunting. You have to meet people and tell as many of them as possible that you’re looking for a job (be specific). Take your resume everywhere and give it out to everyone you can. Try informational interviewing, it’s a highly effective form of networking.

And you have to rely strictly on ads in the newspaper. Also, you have to decide that Internet ads will be the source of your next job. Don’t search in only one sphere. Only a small percentage of job-seekers find jobs through either print or Internet want ads. But don’t even limit your search just to networking, incorporate every form of job-hunting into the mix.

Re: Offline games
by
whandut93
on 12/04/2018, 06:33:12 UTC
Appear offline allows you to set your status to show you as “offline” to your gamer friends while remaining connected to the internet. This means you can launch the app and game away without distraction.

Appearing offline will show you as offline to everyone on your gaming friends list. Once you have joined a game, the experience of appearing offline might be slightly different depending on which game you are playing. In the case I played The World of Warcraft, your guildmates will not see your character come when not online and when you enter WoW’s in-game offline, anyone who has you as a character-level friend will never see you're online friends' list. Everyone outside of the same game as you will not see you when you're not online or playing any games.
