Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity)

I don't have the .onion address. But it looked similar to the one mentioned earlier.
And as I have already told I have the wallet keys files, but nothing else.

What's so weird about mining on laptop?

UPD: Here's the file if you want to have a look https://anonfiles.com/file/a6a540eeb9b5fb8be89460951457a9fb

No, I'm not. When I saw this thread I rushed to my old laptop and even found a wallet file there.
I'm such a looser, you know. I don't remember the password. I may have had 60 BTC when the rate was 0.0000006.

Wait for the quantum computers - bruteforce is your choice.  Grin

Don't rub salt in the wound. I tried all my usual passwords but no one hit the mark.

I was at Bitcoin London Conf in 2012 and went to have a beer with friends to the nearest pub last evening. I met a guy there (don't remember his name. something like Jeff or John, maybe).
He told me about ring signatures and mentioned something about CryptoNote. I felt interested and tried to ask him for more details. He was with a company too(10 or 12 people meetup) so our conversation was rather short. We chatted a bit and he gave me a card with .onion website address. He said it would be a currency of the future and I had to mine it.

Another thing i just stumbled on is they mentioned a meeting somewhere in London around Sept. 2012. Around the same time there was a Bitcoin Conference in the same city.

It was mentioned before, sounds legit. Jeff Garzik anyone?

Jeff Garzik? Maybe, I don't remember. But doesn't look like a guy.

Old community army is coming at us? Lol.

So, been mining much in 2012?

I used to mine with my old laptop. Difficulty wasn't that high and I used to find blocks rather regularly. So I did around 100M for a week, but I saw no reason to mine further since I knew no places
to spend it. Also I didn't know where it came from and where it would be.

Good for you... I guess.

Are you going to dump it on us? Grin

Hello all. I haven't been here for a while so I saw your BCN thread for the first time yesterday evening. You know what? It seems to me I had been mining Bytecoin in 2012.

Im looking for a moneypak for 0.82 btc, as long as im not getting screwed, you can choose the market to base the rate off of, and im only doing this thru escrow. I sent a couple messages on localbitcoins so if i get a good deal on there i might go that route.

A couple weird payments...
by

So ive already read the sticky topic above about "Unconfirmed 0 Confirmation Transaction Fee", but that only answered a few of my questions. First, i received the payment:
https://blockchain.info/tx/1eefdb2ad1ea07f9e7c40f9c5cc34e6cb083044998091a60ffdab86ae6bc4a70

The thing about this payment is the 0 transaction fee, i received this to my blockchain.info wallet, so i should have this resolved in about 30 hours. Next, i received this payment:
https://blockchain.info/tx/7f49786b19f09c91c5e2f7c295889268378a655bbb6d1289c1b11329b94ef5b3

This one has the transaction fee, but it doesnt have a sent time, and the "Relayed by IP" is 0.0.0.0 - i have no idea what that is about. Anyone had this happen to them before?

Other escrow sites work as well. Im on torchat (fimedzzo4shswv32) and i only trade with escrow, so if you cannot do escrow, dont bother asking. Im looking for around $80, but its negotiable.

I cannot figure out how to mine any ALT currencies with my ASIC USB miner and CGMiner...
It's not possible. You can't mine scrypt coins with a sha256 ASIC.

I see...
