One question... the Silver Bitcoin wallet (1 oz.)... it says .25 BTC on it... does it really contain that .25 BTC?
No, the coin has no actual bitcoin's in them. The 0.25 is the nominal worth of the coin at the time of production. It's a 0.999 ounce silver coin.

It seems everything is more expensive in Bitcoins? I'm not sure what would justify it, because the BTC rates you use are much lower than any exchange. So essentially you've priced everything to be few percent more expensive if a customer pays with Bitcoins? You should mention that in FAQ.
It certainly isn't more expensive to buy at bitgild.com in bitcoins than with normal fiat. In fact it's much cheaper to buy with bitcoin than using regular payment processors like paypal or creditcard, as these will charge an additional 2,5% on the order, while we made all bitcoin orders free of any extra fee.
All bitcoin rates come from bitpay which you can find here, and are always reliable and fair compared to all the "good standing" exchanges.
Prices in the webshop in bitcoin are updated every 3 minutes and like mentioned in our FAQ should be used as indication. The most accurate price will be calculated during checkout by bitpay so you are sure you will always pay the most accurate bitcoin price.

Ordered one coin last night... let's see how long it takes to get to me

So I ordered one Krugerrand on 15 Feb, arrived via UPS on 20 Feb. Checked it out with calipers and electronic scales and the measurements checked out. Not exact but close enough (there is some variance I understand).
I also ordered one of those coin checkers from goldcoinbalance dot com (they take Bitcoin as payment too) though it arrived much later and the coin checks out- passes all three tests for diameter, thickness and weight.
Being my first gold coin purchase ever in my life, I was a bit weary, but short of actually taking a filing off and subjecting it to an acid test, I think I have done all that can be reasonably done to test it and am happy with the coin.

I can see this making sense for some items where supply might be uncertain but wouldn't it make sense to let people order the more common items even if they aren't in stock?
We agree that this solution is also not ideal and are rethinking how we can improve the information on the website with correct stock identification. Thank you for your feedback.

We have been busy updating our website to make sure all information such as price information is even more accurate than before. We have decided to not show categories that only hold products that our out of stock. As soon as those products are back in stock the categories will be visible again. This should clean up the website and eliminates the possibility to land on a empty category page.
Furthermore product prices on category level were sometimes not correctly displayed and were different from the product page prices. This is now also fixed.
We have been busy updating our website to make sure all information such as price information is even more accurate than before. I ordered some Kinebars on the 1st Dec., and was told after paying that they weren't in stock (the 2gram ones) and that they would be in on the 6th Dec. and then my order would be shipped immediately. I still haven't heard anything concerning my order though. Any news?

Thank you for your question. Your order is indeed delayed and most of the times it should not take that long. We are currently chasing our wholesaler. In fact the 2g and 5g are already here, but their are some delivery problems with the 1g kinebar. We will keep you updated on this order.
