I am wondering that adding exhaust fan makes any difference on top of the current setup? Please advise.
You're wondering if venting heated air will make the place cooler..?

Yes, technically I want to know it really helps cooling the room.

Adding more exhaust capacity to get that hot air out is very important.  90F is not too hot for the hardware to be safe running 24/7 as long as you can exhaust that hot air out of there and keep the GPU temperatures safe.  How hot are your GPUs running when it's 90 F in the room?

They are about 75-78F when it is 90F. Temps are here : https://ibb.co/kuBbAw

AC is a waste of electricity unless you have  free power, your exhuast fans need to be ABOVE your rigs not in at the same level and you  also need to make sure your room is somewhat presurerized

you can tell this by when you open the doors you feel the suction of the exhaust fans pulling heat up.

I have 30 rigs in my garage with only 1 of six exhasut fans going and my temps are like 30 degreees in winter, fall with three fans going like 60

How big size is the exhaust fans? I wonder what type is the most useful for venting.

    Option 1 : http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/hvac/exhaust-fans/exhaust-and-supply/24in-heavy-duty-exhaust-fan-with-integrated-shutter-if24-4100-cfm?infoParam.campaignId=T9F&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIicG6v5K01wIVhoWzCh2UqwtCEAYYBCABEgIMOvD_BwE

    Option 2 : http://www.globalindustrial.com/p/hvac/fans/blower/portable-ventilation-fan-12-inch-with-32-feet-flexible-ducting?infoParam.campaignId=T9F&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIicG6v5K01wIVhoWzCh2UqwtCEAYYAiABEgI5kvD_BwE

I want to test Option 2 to vent the heated air to see if it works better.

@Phil : Sorry to dive into your conversation.

If you have your GPUs only running the fans at 30-40% or so and your temps are still only in the 70s Celsius (going by the image you linked) then you really are doing great. If you would run your fans at 60-65% you would have lower GPU temps and still have plenty of longevity for the fans themselves.

I think the only thing you really need to be worrying about is ditching that AC unit and getting some good industrial exhaust fans installed... that will save you allot each month on your electric bill and keep things just as cool and probably cooler.

Thanks for your suggestion. I will buy a portable version to test venting the air.

both of those are wall mounted ,  i suppose as long as they ate above your rigs either should work

the one u get depends on your mounting options

Will test it. Let's see how it's working.

    Hi Guys,

I have a weird question. I know this has been talked over the tread but it is little different. Here is my setup.

I have about 50 rigs in a warehouse. I am having excessive heat problem right now. Ambient temperature is ~90F in the room if I put all the rigs up.

There is a 5 ton Industrial type AC system at the top. Also, 1 exhaust motor on the wall which sucks the heated air.

I am not sure what solution I should go. I've talked HVAC guy and he suggested a load calculation for the room (2000SF). When I do math, it goes 12 ton AC unit required for this project.

I am wondering that adding exhaust fan makes any difference on top of the current setup? Please advise.

Getting this board tested... generic board - 9 slots PCI and 1 compute card that I got from Panto-tech in Alibaba.

I am too lazy to do this test in the farm because it hot as hell 35-36c - I may faint after 30 mins or so...

My nice and comfy air conditioned office is one floor below the farm.

I have to use the lowest power card available not in production with a 6pin power input.

    Found 9 pieces of GPUs.... Asus Strix R7-370 x 8 and a lone R7-370 Nitro+

Really old cards these but safe enough not to power trip the whole warehouse.

I think these cards will consume more LESS than 1000w (fingers crossed) and whole rig below 5A - my workbench is connected to a 20A circuit.

Okay..... here's some findings on this board

    1. Wont post with smOS USB stick
    2. Planning to install Windows with 8 x GPU (dumped this idea)
    3. Quick chat with Panto tech team....

    - this board is designed and certified for P106 mining GPUs
    - 1070 maybe just maybe depending on PL for each card.
    - Windows supports 8 GPU
    - Linux supports all 9 GPU slots

for 1070, 1080tis, they suggest the board like what Phil is testing so that you can juice up 4gb or more RAM and faster CPU.

I wouldn't use this board if only for P106s.

Maybe for 1070s or RX470s -- investing on boards like this is NOT worth it -- otherwise good to have and not necessary because I am not intending to win the most sexiest mining rig - main objective is get-rid of risers as much as possible, and improve density further to 7-9 cards per rig - riserless.

What CPU board on it? and how much is that? I believe you need to buy separate.

I don't think that Bitmain want to sell all of their D3 inventory. They want miners always chase their products. Some sources of mine in China states WHALES don't want small fishes in the game and they got majority of the miners in China before selling to the world. It is not hard to pretend their web site is so busy and you don't get the reach out proper site to order product. I think they are playing with customers.

Last week one of my China contact said they sold 150 L3+ for $4200 and if you don't have big money, you are not in the game.

Gorunuse gore bu anakart 3PCIe ve 1 PCI girisi var. 3 GPU baglaya bilirsiniz. Ayrica 1 to 3 PCIe multiplexer baglamayi deneyebilirsiniz. 5GPU ya cikma ihtimali var. Tabi Multi GPU kurulumda, CPU anakart sinirlamasi olmasi muhtemel yinede karar sizin.
