Re: Will there be an epic dump?

there's an army of noobs. noobs mean weak hands. none of them understand what they're getting into and they'll screw up eventually.

Well I don't know if noobs are responsible but we had our epic dump.

I'm not worried though, rather the contrary.
It was NOT an healthy rise whatever some fanatics were saying. It was not an horrible bubble but it's not a normal rise. Why should the price double in less than a month? Everyday we had like 5% rise, without any serious correction (apart the few 50$ ones)

It's great we had a good old dump. Now price will steadily rise again and we'll be able to sell the coins we bough in the dump ^^

Shorting bitcoin? Judging from the charts that is a bad idea.
Current price is higher than yesterday's price.

Buy every dip and hold your coins I would suggest.

Yeah I tried to do so and got burned as hell ><

It's not even that the opportunity doesn't exist. It's just that prices moves so fast and with such a great range that...
I guess I'll never really get the hand of btc trading. Forex is easier  Tongue

There definitely will be pull back, but trying to time it is out of the question.
For all you know, Bitcoin could first rise to $5000 and then crash to $4000.  Wink

Please be right please be right please be right

I wouldn't like a new pump and dump scheme like we had few years ago, this would be the worst!
The only thing that is a bit worrying me is the difficulty of access of trading platforms!
You could expect they would have learned no? Well no! Not at all!!! This is stil completely ridiculous, you can barely have access to your account due to their pathetic servers not able at all to handle the number of orders transactions and people trying to buy and sell!

Quick question as I'm an old player
Did you ever sell ISK already or is it the first time you're doing it?

I've got few friends who tried to sell their overproduction and they got their accounts banned as well as the people who bought the ISK...
Eve staff is pretty harsh on punishment on those things, you're used to safety measures?

Re: Dmitry Bogatov arrested by Russian authorities

I wonder you seriously think that you can help him. Putin crushes the whole West and nothing helps. To fight with him no one wants, and voluntarily he will not change. Putin is cornered and he knows that if he surrenders then will be destroyed. Sanctions only affect ordinary people and, therefore, Putin will stop any attempts which can Wake people.

Sanctions aren't effective here...
In fact the problems are important:
1/ First Putin doesn't attack anyone on the outside (or anyone powerful) so we can't really motivate Western nations to attack him or Russia directly, they're not a threat to anyone to be honest, they're mainly attacking themselves. Putin is a dictator but isn't invading its neighbours, simply killing Russians.
2/ Putin has control on the whole European gas. That's freaking important. Without Russia, Europe would go dark in 3 days, they NEED the energetic supply, whatever they want or wish for they NEED it. That's a bit like Saudi Arabia for USA xD

russia = north korea Wink

No.

I mean Russia has tons of problems I'm NOT denying that.
I just want to point out that North Korea is really a crazy country.
North Koreans are barelly humans anymore. And I don't want to be rude or anything. It's just that they were born and "educated" in a country where EVERY CHOICE is made by the government. E V E R Y C H O I C E

Your hair, your clothes, what you eat, what you read, what you say, what you sing, what you discuss, who you appreciate, who you hate...
It's very close to brainwashing and people never make any choice on their own. That means they're... They're clearly having huge trouble to think properly if they're left alone.

I can't help but thinking that this is going to end very badly. There have been minimal to no corrections since late 2015, with corrections becoming more and more minimal towards the current price. The price has risen 3x this year alone, and risen 11x since late 2015.

Who knows? But both 2013's high and subsequent hangover were excessive and that brutality was caused by factors that don't exist any more.

It's all still being made up as it goes along and visibility is ever growing. Still, if it's sub $1000 I'd be tempted to buy a little more.

Everyone talks about "healthy growth"

But there is something I don't understand...
Healthy growth on a product, whatever it is, means that the growth is backed by a growing demand and/or a diminishing supply. In general it will be backed by an increasing use.

Correct me if I'm wrong of course, but what exactly is explaining the btc doubling its price in a month?
Did we double btc use? Btc demand?

I don't see what's healthy in this growth. I can't say I hate it though of course, but I'm much more sceptical about the "healthy aspect".

So what happens when the exchanges run out of bitcoin, low liquidity, then the Altcoin bubble bursts and all the alt-loving newbs frantically run for the trade back to btc?

Right now it's more like dumping coming.

Don't know where and when it will stop.
Not sure we will have the needed support for what's coming! :/

Congrats Primedice for a great achievement....

unfortunately i have left gambling and concentrating more on trading...

Which is more or less the same.
Especially with bitcoin.
I mean oil prices make sense. It's all a matter of control of supply and demand.
But btc? Man this price can swing more than my grandma and without any reason xD

Re: Government Buy Submarine Etc. - Taxpayers Will Pay Some Extra Billions In Taxes
by
xslugx
on 24/05/2017, 08:40:50 UTC
If country government want higher taxes or make some larger country debt, it can buy more weapons, for example some extra submarines. For example US Virginia submarine costs 2.68 billions USD. The same weight gold - 7900 tons costs around 0.3 billions USD only. See link here - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia-class_submarine. If Donald Trump will make some new submarines, it will cost some more billions USD from taxpayers.  Grin

That is the reality and we cannot deny that fact. Actually it was the same with the previous presidents especially in world war II. In world war II Americas expenses was in trillions and we can tell by those numbers that war and militarization is very costly. But just imagine if the US will be invaded since they lack the weaponry the losses will not only be money but millions of lives.

Duuuuuuuh
That's why we need to have a bigger army than the 50 next countries?
Out of which more than 20 are our allies?
What's even the point??

Come on it's completely fucked up and we DON'T NEED THAT!

Some of us actually are here for the Bitcoin, because we think Bitcoin is better money than dollar or euro.

And you're real heroes  Cool

Anyway don't put your eggs in the same baskets.
I mean come on everyone likes euros and dollars too. Being rich in btc is great but taking a slight bit of the profit you make and put it in dollars can't hurt anyone Wink

This way if it IS a bubble you won't be completely fucked.

Hello fellas, I am a new member to this forum... so my question is this:

Is this website legit? https://bitroi.net/

It sounds good to be truth or what? They promise that If I send them 0.001bitcoin in one day i'll make 0.002bitcoin

I am thinking about invensting there do you think I should or is this a scam? I searched everything for an opinion my I haven't find anyone saying if it is legit or not? Please help.

Thank you.

Ok just thinkg about it 1 min.

2.5% daily means you're ROI in 40 days.

Now can you imagine an activity doubling your coins in 40 days? Now can you imagine someone being able to do something like this actually asking for your money?

There you got your answer.

what part of my belief are you not grasping, facts do not care about yours or anybody elses opinions, unless you have proof that my claims are incorrect, EVERY single bit of new technology is effectively stolen by the military industrial complex and militarised, and classified... and every single military classification last for minimum 50 years.....

sorry if you dont like reality, but welcome to the real world, you may want to look into the 125 scientists that have been murdered by guberments of the globe in the last decade, or the 45 bankers in the last 2 years, i will apologize for being more in the know of the real world even though its you who should be apologizing for not being upto the same page or even chapter as i Smiley

Ok but where do you take your info from?

You're making a claim. Fair enough. Do you have any kind of proof?

they are all common knowledge, only an idiot asks for evidence of something which is common knowledge, give it up you can not beat me Smiley

Common knowledge? Might want to ask around who's aware of that? Cause I'm ready to bet 10btc that 90% of the forum at least never heard of such "theory".

And if it's such common knowledge it should be incredibly easy to find any kind of evidence.

You see the fact that earth is round is a common knowledge. Well I just have to write "round earth" in google to find evidence. Whereas when I type your theory on google I have nothing.

The kids they adopt will probably be better off than an orphanage, but way worse off than in a heterosexual family.

Cool

You know that's funny that's the main goal of homosexuality in Nature.

Penguins for example see there rate of homosexuality evolve in correlation to number of orphans.
And homosexuals Penguins raise the orphans!

Funny no?

I repeat: I'd like an example of a centrally planned production quota winning out in efficiency over a free-market supply-and-demand model.
Where do you see centrally planned production quota? Core devs are part of the free-market supply-and-demand model. So is ''classic' and 'XT' forks. But they lost the competition with superior Core vision.

Hmm... Might be wrong but btc in itself is a perfect example of centrally planned production no?

Re: What's your opinion of gun control?
by

on 03/03/2016, 18:08:12 UTC

I've invited you to show the correlation.  That means I am open to objective evidence.

If you used to words loosely, though, and did not mean actual scientific correlation, just say so.

I am happy to debate the topic on opinions and principles.  Because you and I just don't need guns, you know.  All of the problems encountered during the day, they are solved with hammers or keyboards or gadgets or whatever.  See?  So we don't need guns.

Until, you know.  Until we do need them.

I understand your point of view. But with such argument you can justify anything.

"Why did you kill your neighboor?
Well of course he was a really pleasant dude and everything went smooth! But you never know. Maybe one day he would have threatened me."

That's why you get to know your neighbors. You have clam-bakes, and potlucks with them. You all learn to be friends. Then, when you need gun help against somebody from the outside, your neighbors are there to back you with their guns.

Cool

And then you become a fucking closed community unnable to evolve because of the global consanguinity.

Welcome to Texas!

this go in speculation, and no, nothign strange this is normal market activity, you can expect more of this in the coming weeks

ping pong between 4xx and 450

I'd say there is also a bit of fear regarding the size issue. It seems to me like the issue was forgotten, not really dealt with.

Re: 2016 will be a boring year for bitcoin
by
xslugx
on 03/03/2016, 15:55:35 UTC
I don't really agree.

Bitcoin will be stable in price that's for sure. But bitcoin technology will evolve! In a truly important way!
The 2016 year will be the year for btc to scale! If they can't make it scale, 2017 will be the last for btc!

Yes this year is not the boring year. As halving is taking place in this year surely there is a increase in
the price of bitcoin. The years starting was a bit bad. With that we should not conclude.

Oh yeah and there is the halving too. Forgot that one.

Though I'm not sure it'll be really important because let's be honest it was probably already priced in ^^

So when you are teaching child about drugs, you must tell him to try for himself to
learn on his own skin that this is bad and wrong. Because never belive to no one..
Yes this can be apply to religion and politics but not on moral and life principles,
this must come from father and mother teachings!

Or father and father teaching.

Or mother and mother teaching.
