Re: Merit is required?
by

What kind of post gives good merit? Huh

My advice is to make quality posts and the output can help friends who previously didn't understand to understand.
To make quality posts, of course, you must have knowledge besides that it also needs to be organized and adjusted to the Forum Rules,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0

The first thing you need to do is read more, avoid spam, shitpost, and low-quality posts.
Spam and shitpost will most likely be removed by moderators. Apart from these 2 things, out-of-topic posts will also be deleted.
If you have done the things above, you will most likely get merit from a merited member.

Re: Newbies, don't be naive
by
yagamitaichi
on 01/12/2021, 00:45:17 UTC
It wonders me a lot how does a newbie invest in something he has no single knowledge about. Just in the name of making money.
There's this friend of mine that has invested in so many projects but she doesn't know how crypto works. What and what do you need to consider first before investing in any altcoin. I was asking her how does she manage to know about altcoin to invest in. She told me that a friend of hers do tell her the coin to invest in nothing more.
From our discussion, I get to find out she has no single knowledge about crypto. She's in to make quick profits.
At the end of it all, I started lecturing her everything concerning crypto. Volatility nature of the market, things to consider before investing. Cmc ratings etc I spend hours lecturing her

I am one of the naive newbies. I do not deny that I need a lot of money. But for investment promotion with profitable promises, I have to be selective in responding to this. Because it's about money. If we are wrong in investing, our money will not come back. For that, I prefer coin mining or participating in the airdrop, even though the results are small but it will not hurt because it is free with no frills for a deposit. Not people who do not want to be rich and have a lot of money. But earning a lot of money with shortcuts is also impossible and not even possible. The best way is to be more patient and grateful for what you have. If you really want to invest, make sure you look for information related to the investment in detail and make sure you have considered the risks that will occur.

Re: I missed the boat is not new concept..

The reason why i am making this thread is to make newbies aware that sometimes we feel that we already missed the boat but in reality it has not started the voyage at all.All those coins if stored safely would now be worth millions or even billions if you made the excat calculations.

There are lot of altcoins that might be shining at this time but Bitcoin has been the king of CMC from long time and will remain the same and there are more chances of growth so you better don't get eroded by all such things like you missed the boat and do the same mistake they might have done.Just jump in and enjoy and stay safe.

Thank you for creating this thread. Now I realize that it is never too late to invest in BTC or any other coin. I found out about BTC in the middle of 2016 after my computer was hit by ransomware and the creator of the ransomware requested BTC as a means of payment to recover the data on my computer. At that time the price of BTC was approximately 434.46 $. Because I don't want to pay for it, the data on my computer couldn't be recovered. At that time I was also not interested in investing in BTC. Because I think it's just a hype that will fade with time. But I did not expect that in its journey the price of BTC has increased from year to year. Of course at the moment I can't invest in BTC because the price is very high. I am currently starting to invest in coins at an affordable price. With the hope that the coins that I have invested will benefit me in the future.

Re: Runaway beginner

on 10/11/2021, 00:11:52 UTC
I still remember initially when this forum was first introduced to me by a colleague, the enthusiasm I had towards it was very skyrocketing but with time the interest died in ways I never expected reasons being that as a novice I didn't and still don't know how this forum navigates and it's growth processes for a member, and this was as a result of the fact that the person that told me about this forum never gave me a clear clue or a mentorship hand about the processes. So with time I was so discouraged about the whole thing cause like they say you can't obviously have knowledge of what you don't understand, so overnight I just lost interest and ran_off, like for months I never logged in into the forum cause I felt a waste of my time and data.
Fortunately for me today, am back to it again, cause maybe I really want to really get apt insight on how to learn and grow from this platform. In other words, I really need to know how things work here, so please those that have been here before me I could really make use of your ideas and suggestions as a fresh beginner ones again.
Thanks, looking forwards to get helpful replies!

I'm like you. the first time I created this account, on the second and first day I was still excited and very enthusiastic to find information about BTC and participate in discussions on the bitcointalk.org forum. But somehow for a long time I became bored. But it is true from the comments of friends above. I opened bitcointalk.org again because the bitcoin price is in the process of increasing day by day. So that's what makes me excited again to return to this forum. But in the future I hope I will continue to have a high spirit to seek and participate in discussions in this forum. Is it BTC going up or down. The most important thing is the knowledge and information that I will get on the forum, which will be very useful for me in the future. Because knowledge is something very valuable. Knowledge never runs out or perishes, but on the contrary, wealth will be destroyed in accordance with the passage of time. Thank you friends for sharing your knowledge. Now I know what I didn't know before

Re: How to trade properly for newbies
by
yagamitaichi
on 07/11/2021, 00:13:20 UTC
1. Position is the most important thing
2. Always set the profit/loss ratio above 1:1 (2:1, 3:1)
3. Always set stop loss below 10% of the account
4. Do not borrow, deposit too large (under 25X is safe)
5. Do not leave orders overnight
6. Adjust emotions when entering orders. If you lose, remove the other bets

I underline for point 4 and point 6. Because I think that's the most important.

"4. Don't borrow, deposit too large (under 25X is safe)"

It is very dangerous for us because the too high interest will make it difficult for us to pay it. If we can profit from trading if we lose? how are we going to pay for it?

"6. Adjust emotions when entering orders. If you lose, remove the other batch"

don't use emotions for trading but use knowledge and thoughts when trading

I have seen Bitcoin go down in the last few days. And it also affects the price of other coins. As a beginner, I would like to ask the seniors in this forum. Why does Bitcoin greatly affect the ups and downs in the price of other coins?

Thanks in advance.

Re: best crypto venture for beginers
by
yagamitaichi
on 03/09/2021, 09:13:21 UTC
I created this thread for discussion and suggestions.

Haven’t experience over the years the challenges faced by newcomers in understanding what it entails in cryptocurrency ventures such as trading, mining, staking and defi farming, with so many newcomers not really understanding of what it takes to venture into this different cryptocurrency aspect that maximize it full potentials. many newbies end up losing their resources in the curse of these activities because of lack of knowledge because of greed and quest to get rich quick through cryptocurrency without knowing the risk involved.

what are your suggestion and guides for new investors in our midst?

It is better to first learn about cryptocurrencies along with the risks that will occur if you make the wrong decision. Because the cryptocurrency market is changing all the time. Therefore, as a newbie, you must know about trading. Don't be tempted by the lure of big profits. Because it's about money. If you make the wrong decision you will lose your assets and money. So you have to be more patient to get big profits. And don't be shy about asking seniors who know more about cryptocurrencies and trading.

Hello legendary, and hero members..am new into the forum..
What is merit and how can I get it?
What's the main porpuse of the forum and how can it be achieved?
🙂

It needs a process Bro if you want to rank up and get merit. I suggest you actively make posts in forums. And make sure what you post is on topic. Make good posts. After a long time, you will also rank up and get merit. Nothing is instant in this world bro. So, "Enjoy the process to get the progress, then you will be successful".

Re: [General] How to earn Bitcoins - Part 1
by
yagamitaichi
on 02/09/2021, 00:11:39 UTC
I think if you are using bit coin just for some extra income and not really for  your regular job. I think it is better to start with faucet on your extra time or on the time when your are on your office and you have nothing to do. You can earn small amount of bit coin with out any expenses and it can also be a good past time. Other thing it is good to recruit others to claim in faucets because you will have referral commission it can make your earning bigger. But if you will use it to make a living, it won't work unless you have a million of referrals that is claiming everyday.

I am in your side. Bitcoin is just a side business for me. To earn money, you need a permanent job. Because the price of bitcoin is unpredictable. For beginners like me who can't predict the price of a cryptocurrency, bitcoin, or other cryptocurrencies only for long-term investments.

Re: Do you have a separate phone/PC for crypto?
by
yagamitaichi
on 01/09/2021, 09:05:19 UTC

I spend a minimum of  8-9 hours a day on my mobile phone. I have one mobile for bitcointalk forum/trading and another for my normal day-day businesses. I do this to secure my bitcointalk account and trading accounts from hacks, viruses, phishing attacks from public WiFi e.t.c this is a safe practice to protect one's information. Do not make the mistake of overlooking your data privacy.
When I pick up my bitcoin mobile, I automatically focus all my energy here regardless of what may be happening in my surrounding. I never leave my phone unattended. It's locked and secure whenever I'm busy with something else. If you can't afford a second phone, you can follow the tips stated in this article
https://www.webroot.com/us/en/resources/tips-articles/how-to-prevent-phone-hacking-and-sleep-like-a-baby-again

Avoid unsecured public WiFi. Hackers often target important locations such as bank accounts via public WiFi that can often be unsecured due to relaxed safety standards or even none at all.

Turn off your autocomplete feature. By doing this, you can prevent stored critical personal data from being accessed.

Regularly delete your browsing history, cookies, and cache. Removing your virtual footprint is important in minimizing the amount of data that can be harvested by prying eyes.

Have an iPhone? Enable Find My iPhone. By turning the feature on in your settings, you’ll be able to locate your phone if you misplace it before the hackers can lay their paws on it.

Use a security app that increases protection. For Android owners, Webroot offers the all-in-one Mobile Security for Android app that provides antivirus protection and allows you to remotely locate, lock up and wipe your phone in the event you lose track of it. For iOS users, Webroot also offers a free secure web browser for increased mobile security on your iPhone and iPad.

I use a laptop as well as a smartphone. I use both in certain situations and conditions. When I'm at home I use a laptop because it looks wider and clearer. In other situations, I use a smartphone when I am not in my house because it is more practical and can be carried anywhere. For data problems I suggest you back up your data such as username and password into MS Office on the laptop. And you can also back it up in cloud computing such as Google Drive, One Drive, or Dropbox. So that one day you need the data, just access the cloud computing. Here are some tips for safe internet.

1. Keep Personal Information Professional and Limited

2. Keep Your Privacy Settings On

3. Practice Safe Browsing

4. Make Sure Your Internet Connection is Secure. Use a Secure VPN Connection

5. Be Careful What You Download

6. Choose Strong Passwords

7. Make Online Purchases From Secure Sites

8. Be Careful What You Post

9. Be Careful Who You Meet Online

10. Keep Your Antivirus Program Up To Date

Re: Introduce Bitcoin in one sentence
by
yagamitaichi
on 01/09/2021, 00:05:21 UTC
Hello, I'm new here. Your advice are most welcome.(The search function of the forum doesn't seem to work well.I can't find what I want. Maybe I can't use it.)

I have been trading Bitcoin for two years and am a speculator.

The income in the past two years is not as much as that of a friend of mine. He is a believer and holder of Bitcoin. I decided to change from a speculator to a firm believer. So come to this forum -- this is the gathering place of Bitcoin believers.

In the past two years, I have met many people who don't understand Bitcoin and asked me what it is. They asked me to introduce Bitcoin in one sentence or give him a reason to buy it.

I said, Bitcoin is the king,

Bitcoin is electronically protected or encrypted,

Bitcoin may be a currency of the future.

With bitcoin, you have the future.

If you don't buy it now, it will be the most regretful thing in 10 years.

Some friends bought it, but sold it without profit in the short term. Of course, several friends have been holding it and began to understand the history of Bitcoin.

If it were you, which sentence would you use to introduce Bitcoin? Grin

I will say "Bitcoin may be a currency of the future".

Bitcoin is a virtual or digital currency that is usually used for virtual transactions. It may be replaced Fiat in the future. It is Built on blockchain technology.

Bitcoin is an entry point for many people to get to know decentralized technology. The concept of decentralized technology brought by blockchain, allows each server to be connected and have the same role. By establishing a kind of peer-to-peer network, sending digital currency will be the same as sending an email because there is no longer a central bank to mediate transactions.

Cryptocurrency is decentralized, meaning that as a system, the overall decision-making is left to the users of the system without one individual being able to impose his will on other individuals without the consent of the majority of system users. In contrast to Fiat, which is centralized, there is an authority that regulates, creates, and monitors the circulation of money. Most of the financial transactions that exist today also involve at least one-third party, such as a bank, who will audit and keep all transaction and regulatory details.

Cryptocurrency is a result of the combination of the fiat monetary system with digital technology. In practice, cryptocurrency knows no national or regional boundaries. If people agree to use this cryptocurrency, then the transaction can be done.

Re: HARUSKAH SAYA MENYESAL

I am one of many who seems to have chronic pain. I refuse to take painkillers because of what they can do to my body.
I am basically stuck using ice and heat. I don't have a bathtub so I don't have the option to use things like Epsom salt.
My pain is in my lower back, shoulders, and neck.

What do you do to handle pain?

I suggest you go to the doctor for a check-up. If you don't want medical treatment, you can take herbal medicine with massage and take herbal medicine. The most important thing is to think positively to recover.

Re: How I wish i knew about Bitcoin before now
by

on 30/08/2021, 10:30:17 UTC
How I wish I knew about Bitcoin before now, before my previous discovery about  the existence of Bitcoin and Blockchain interface which seems late to me. If I had known about Bitcoin during it's early stage, I don't think I will be in the same level that I am now. sometimes I do imagine the net worth of people that had stored Bitcoin in there fortfolios since the early stage of Bitcoin existence till now that the price had gone really far from the dip. I will not ague/blame those of us that are just investing in Bitcoin as a late comer and I know that many are still going to concur to Bitcoin existance.and adoption later soon.

With this step I've taken to invest more of my funds in Bitcoin I hope and believe that I'm going to benefit more like the early adopters who believed in Bitcoin. I just hope the market can reset so I can buy more from a good price. How I wish Bitcoin antagonists could understand what they're missing from the internet gold.

It's never too late to invest in bitcoin. I am also a beginner and new to cryptocurrencies. Looking at bitcoin from year to year chart analysis bitcoin has experienced a significant increase. With much deliberation, I decided to invest long term in the crypto world.

Re: Bitcointalk is more than a forum
by

on 30/08/2021, 04:31:57 UTC
I see Bitcointalk forum as a place that is more than a forum for Bitcoin discussion, There are a lot of things to learn here. Bitcointalk forum is an institution, the reason why I refer Bitcointalk forum as an institution. An institution consist of different area of specialization where one will be able to fit into, same as Bitcointalk forum which has different boards where one can fit into or display a talent. An institution impact, transform, gives knowledge in different aspect of life. An institution welcome people who are ready to learn and people who are discipline so as Bitcointalk forum. Why I love and appreciate Bitcointalk forum more is that Bitcointalk forum is an institution where knowledge is free no tuition fee. There is no institution in the world where knowledge is giving for free but Bitcointalk forum is a place where we obtain knowledge for free.

An institution is a place where learning in characters also occur same as Bitcointalk forum too. Bitcointalk forum is able to accommodate different people with different characters. I'm so happy to be a member of this forum where I get knowledge for free which I don't pay for.

I'm in your side Bro. This forum is my place to learn about cryptocurrencies. As a brand new I am happy to be in this forum discussing with great people like you all from various parts of the world. Discuss to solve a problem, give suggestions and ideas for solving the problem.

Re: Think twice before making a post

on 30/08/2021, 04:19:18 UTC
Bitcointalk forum is a forum about Bitcoin where discussion and good ideas from members with better understanding about Bitcoin to facilitate the sense of cryptocurrency of new members. As new members of Bitcointalk forum before a post is being made ask some questions like.
Can my post give good ideas to members of the forum and if what is about to be written is necessary in the forum. The benefits of one thinking before making a post in the forum will help in self development which will yield good Ideas that can be helpful to the forum.

If every new members should have a second thought before making a post it will really serve the purpose for which the forum is been created for. Thinking before posting  can kill the mindset of plagiarism which is an offence that the forum do not tolerate. If every new member should always think before making a post it will add value to members .

I agree with your opinion. because I am a new member of this forum and I also need guidance on how to post properly and correctly so that it can be useful for other friends, especially new members who are interested in cryptocurrency but don't know how to post and discuss on the bitcointalk forum. So I ask for guidance from the seniors in this forum.
